My husband and I recently hired Mass Bay Movers for our move from Charlestown to Bedford and couldn't have been more pleased with the job they did. We had a 4 man crew to move us out of our 2 bedroom condo + basement storage unit. Our guys were Henry, George, Jaramillo and Baha. From the minute they arrived (they were right on time!), I could tell these guys meant business. Baha led the crew and asked me before starting what we wanted to take, what we wanted to leave and went over some paperwork. He was very thorough. Then, when it came time to move all our stuff, the finished loading the trucks in 2 hours 15 minutes! And we have a LOT of stuff - bed, dresser, baby furniture, huge media stand, stationary bike, patio furniture, a huge sectional- you get the picture. I was shocked at how fast they moved! And they were so careful - by the time they got to Bedford, nothing was broken! And they also assembled and disassembled our stuff like bed, crib, they took down our tv that was mounted. And they were such nice guys. Any request we made was executed with zero complaints. We felt bad they were working so hard and got them pizza and Gatorade. You can probably find movers that are cheaper but they won't be as good, efficient or careful. Our moving crew and Sal and his office team were a pleasure to deal with. The Mass Bay Movers salesman Dan and the guys that actually moved us were great as a team - led by Henry - and assisted by Victor, Edwin S. Carlos, Juan, Mauricio and Areudys - very hard working and pleasant - and we tipped these hard working guys accordingly, and hence the 4 stars. However the reason we did not give Mass Bay 5 stars is they did not cover 95% of the floors of our very expensive townhouse rental when moving out a 3 floor/3 bedroom house and we were forced to hire a professional cleaning service after they left so we could get all of the salt and scratches they made made off the wood floors throughout the house before our walk through with the landlord in order to insure our security deposit was returned. This cost to us was not low. They also had to be told to cover all of the wood floors of our new residence, which we were very surprised by this as one would think this is exactly what they KNOW they should do. It appeared that they had no covering material available other than one blue roll out that went for no more than 15'. Other movers we have used made a point of VERY carefully covering all of the floors before starting a move. This was our only disappointment with Mass Bay Movers, though it was significant. read more

Moving is always a stressful situation. Mass Bay Movers made it super easy and stress free from the beginning to the end. Their estimate process is very simple and quick. Within a 5 minute phone call gathering the items I needed moved they emailed back within the hour a detailed estimate. The day of the move they came in a tail end of a tropical storm which did not stop them. They carefully wrapped and treated my items no different than theirs. Care was taken to make sure nothing was damaged. Even though they needed to wrap most items that did not slow them down. They moved very efficiently. When they got to the final destination they were very thoughtful on where items were to be placed and even recommended a different set up for the space (downsized from a 2200 sq ft 3 bed home to a 1150 sq 2 bed apartment) which turned out perfect. They could of easily just put the stuff where I asked but with their Ideas they advised us on makes the apartment flow a lot smoother. I couldn't have asked for a better move. NOTHING and I mean nothing went wrong. After reading countless reviews of other companies this was clearly the best choice. I have no doubt they will be contacted for my next move! read more

No worries at all because come moving day they came, saw, and conquered! Of the crew, one member left and brought back a bigger truck. True MVP moment! We scheduled our moves months prior as we planned out selling two homes to move into one. The new home would be empty for us, so we thought we had it all figured out. That is until about two weeks before the move when, on a drive by, we saw a note on the door of our new home. The letter explained how the town would be closing our street daily for a month starting the week before our planned moves. Water mains were being redone. Did not see that coming! It was in the height of a very busy move season for Mass Bay and other companies, but they were able to quickly reschedule and accomodate us for both moves over the weekend. Closings were moved up, packing up was accelerated and Mass Bay did a great job getting us moved. Both crews did a great job on a hot/humid/rainy weekend. They worked extremely hard all day, unwavering, forgoing breaks and meals even when I offered to pick up lunch. The guys were absolute gentlemen, helping me with everything, using the finest wrap to pack all loose items and pictures. The crew made sure that I had nothing to worry about. Nothing broke or was even scuffed...all my things were perfectly protected and delivered... the furniture was even reassembled and moved to the exact locations in my new home per my directives. Sal and his team went way above and beyond. We had to cancel on them 3 times due to bumps in the road selling our house, once just hours before they were due to arrive. I half expected him to kick us to the curb, but he couldn't have been more gracious and understanding. Fourth time turned out to be the charm and things went off with out a hitch. Hilberth, Edwin and Alberto were so organized, professional and just great to work with. We were moving out of state to a much smaller house that is being rehabbed. There was a fair amount of large furniture that had to go into a garage and I was amazed at how easily they handled all the craziness that day. They worked straight out all day hauling large furniture to several locations and up steep stairs with not one problem. If we ever move again, and I hope we never have to, I would not hesitate to hire them again, they were worth every penny spent. read more

I had an incredible experience the full duration of my apartment move, which took up two days due to Boston leasing. Not a single piece of furniture saw anything wrong due to the attention to detail they took in carefully covering and moving my belongings out. The two movers who helped me move out packed my belongings incredibly well and I don't think a single thing moved an inch once on the truck. The three movers I had on the second day didn't bat an eye at my fourth floor walk-up and easily made their way up with all of my large furniture pieces, including a couch and heavy dining table. I cannot say enough good things about the service and crew at Mass Bay Movers. My husband and I recently moved out of state and we could not be happier with our experience. The quote for the move was highly competitive compared to other movers in our area. When the movers came, they were respectful, attentive to our needs and carefully took care of our belongings. I can't say enough about Mass Bay Movers, they are absolutely AMAZING! Following a fire in my apartment I used them to pack-out my apartment for cleaning as well as move me back in. I can't say enough about Aniba and his team. They were quick, efficient and very respectful of me and my space. They also showed an amazing level of empathy for the stress and emotion of going through this process that was above and beyond what I was expecting. I really feel very grateful for having them as part of this stressful process, especially during the holiday season. I contacted Mass Bay Movers in Lynn Ma quite frankly because I knew the owners father. But the service I got does not compare to anything! Sal Barresi the owner was kind, professional, accommodating and so weren't all his men he had working for them. My move got rescheduled 5 times and each time I called or text Sal he responded right away with," no problem! We will make it work!" And they did. I recently used Mass Bay for a move on the weekend of September 1st in Boston, which is the worst time to move as 75% of Boston leases turn over then. Its awful, but our agent Chelsea went above and beyond to get us a cheaper rate and accommodate tricky moving times. We might not have been able to get movers without that, and it definitely wouldn't have been as easy as it was. For the actual move, our movers Henry, Dalton, and DarLuis were nothing short of spectacular and moved in an entire 4 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor in less than 1.5 hours! I have moved 5 times within Boston and its always awful, so I was surprised with how easy it was with Mass Bay. I also got no fewer than 8 different moving quotes, and this was definitely the most cost effective as well. Trust me, its worth it here. read more

We used Restoration Movers (formerly Mass Bay Movers) in 2019 after we were displaced from our home by fire. We were so impressed with their service that we used them again this week for an intrastate move (distance ~110 miles). The team showed up as scheduled for loading (we packed ourselves) and were extremely professional, fun, and used great care. They delivered our stuff the next day, again arriving promptly. We had some tricky large items that needed to go in the basement and they were creative and careful in getting them to where we wanted. I highly recommend Mass Bay Movers. I received a professional looking flyer in the mail. I checked out their reviews first online and felt encouraged by all the positive comments. I called and talked to Sal. It was later in the evening and he was still working at the office. It was a really pleasant conversation and the estimate was reasonable. I had received a higher estimate from one of the larger movers previously. The day of our move, Rich arrived (who has a lot of experience), with two young men. They all worked very hard. They were considerate of more fragile items and helped us wrap them properly. Things moved along at a good pace. The way they organized, loaded and stacked everything was impressive too. I have been in the moving industry for a number of years. A few months ago i changed careers and naturally a short time after my girlfriends mom needed a move. I was out of town on day of move and couldn't help. Mass Bay Movers had a warehouse around the corner and I called Sal for help. I would highly recommend Mass Bay Movers. They just completed a move for my family. We had some wood floors installed and some old ones refinished so we had to move out temporarily . From start to finish they were very organized. Pricing was reasonable and no surprises with the final bill. It was actually a little less than what they quoted me. Office staff including Dan and Aoife were great to work with. I really appreciate their help in walking me through this process. I just wrapped up a month-long, challenging, multi-phase move from a four floor narrow condo into a new one floor elevator building. This included carefully wrapping and storing furniture for several months and then hoisting up from the street to an outside balcony long narrow heavy pieces of exotic furniture.
