Ally did make a light hearted joke about getting a good tip if I liked her massage.

I've definitely had better massages at one of those Chinese foot spas. She may have had more knowledge of muscles and its intricacies but the massage itself was marginal. I also booked an hour massage and paid accordingly but only got 45min. When I asked why they told me first visit is only 45min due to patient intake forms. I was confused as paperwork only took 3min.

She eventually admitted that it was my nail, but instead of apologizing, she implied it was the fault of how my nails looked. I can overlook bad customer service and even mediocre quality, but this was beyond that. Weeks later and my toe nails are still recovering because she did it at the bottom. She did this to two of my toe nails and the one pictured is the worst; I'm censoring because I don't like showing my toes. I would actively not recommend.

Not my idea of a quality massage. I dont think the therapist had much experience. Actually, I am positive that she did not have more than atleast three months of work behind her. It seems like the going trend with my experiemce at massage envy is that their therapist are not very skilled. It seems that they just hire fresh graduate student and they seriously lack in the proper skills that are necessary for a great massage. Certain things make a huge difference. For example- being graceful about tucking sheets under private areas- when you do things in an awkward manner, it is super uncomfortable. As far as the overall technique- not deep enough nor did she work out my problems well enough. I felt the whole experience was a watse of money and time. read more

Been a member for many years (5+) and actually have had good experiences with the actual massage. Granted it's a revolving door with therapists, but overall I've found the quality pretty good. My issue is with scheduling. I've learned to not get my hopes up when I have an appointment scheduled because it's not uncommon to have it cancelled. Two of my last three visits have been cancelled morning of, despite having made family arrangements around my scheduled massage. Funny how YOU have to schedule weeks in advance, but THEY cancel morning of with just a simple, "sorry." Wish I could recommend, but probably worth paying a bit more for a place that you can be sure will actually keep to their commitment. read more

It is impossible to get on the schedule. I prefer a female with anything other than light specialty. I couldn't get in for any time length fitting those parameters for 49 days. They charge monthly... You do the math. It's absolutely ridiculous. And to be clear, this is at 3 different massage envys. With 3 locations entered in my search (Bellevue, Bellevue Eastgate and Issaquah), none of the 3 could get me in for 49 days! I wouldn't sign up again if I could do it over again. I have all these massages banked and I can't use them!!! They only get a second star because most of the staff are pretty good. read more

I was certainly frustrated, but I wasn't rude. I did at one point say, "No s**t. it was a joke." They had told me that they would not penalize for cancellations in extenuating circumstances. I told them that my need to watch the US play in the World Cup was an extenuating circumstance. It was obviously a joke as I was trying to lighten up the exchange. The employee immediately started explaining, with an attitude, that that was not considered an extenuating circumstance. Thus my comment. They were very offended by my use of the word "s**t" and so I apologized, more than once. They would not accept the apology.....This is purely a review on Management. I have been going to this location for over 20 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the services provide provided by the therapists.

Following the needles being in the back from about 20 minutes, Caitlin explained the benefits of cupping and what to expect during the treatment and after. The cupping treatment was uncomfortable at first but then moved to a relaxing state. Caitlin was not high pressure on trying to get return visits- but did explain the benefit in doing so. She was very personable, welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend seeing Caitlin if you have never experienced acupuncture before or if you are looking for a provider who will give you dedicated time and who shows they care about your health.

In order to use my benefits before they expired, I made weekly appts at 6:45am. I was rightfully charged $80 for missing an appt while I was still getting used to that appt time; Anyhow, I paid the fee, plus I gave the masseuse $20 for her missed tip. That's a reflection of who I am. Last week, I got a vague text with no explanation at 5:30 am telling me they were canceling my 6:45am appt. I asked when we could make it up, because my benefits ran out at the end of the year. She informed me that it would not be possible because they are just too busy. (Hint: they don't need your business). I told her that I was upset that she was okay with canceling last minute when I paid the missed fee + left a tip when I missed my appt. And she said she was sorry that I felt that way. That woman apologized for MY feelings! That's a reflection of who they are. Later that day, I got a call from the owner who said that if my missed appt was an emergency they would refund my money. I didn't bother returning her call. I know where to find the masseuse, Ivy, who is WAY better! And for a naturopath, Sage Med beats this place.
