For the second time in a few months I arrived to my appointment to learn that the therapist was "running late and has not arrived yet". I did get a call 7 minutes before the appointment was to start as I was walking into the building. If I were to cancel 7 minutes before the appointment I would be charged 100% of the cost of the appointment. It is a shame that this business does not consider my time as equally important. I got a "sorry" but no compensation for my time and inconvenience. I think that the therapist, Tala should be paying the fee and maybe she can get to work on time. This place is unethical. They charge for a membership, but are unable to provide the massage service for which you pay. It is almost impossible to get an appointment. When I finally secured an appointment, they called to cancel and reschedule for another date and time. I agreed. They texted a confirmation the day before. In the text it states the consequenced to the client should said client cancel. Nowhere do they say what happens if they cancel. Well, it turns out they suffer NO consequences. When I arrived at the scheduled time, the receptionist shrugged her shoulders and said there must have been a miscommunication because I didn't have an appointment. I've been a member in good standing with Massage Envy for many years. Always had good experiences there. Today, after 20 months of waiting out the pandemic, I thought certainly I can secure a massage with a vaccinated therapist. Unfortunately, I was told by the front desk staff that they are not allowed to give out that information. Look, I don't need everyone's health information, but there have to be therapists there who don't mind being added to a list of guaranteed vaccinated people. All the massage envys in the area are terrible. They used to be owned by someone else but were bought by a company called Atticus franchise group and since then have steadily declined. You can never get an appointment, they raised the prices of the membership and had a lawsuit about it. Wouldn't be shocked if they had another massive lawsuit headed their way for breach of contract since it's next to impossible to get a massage. I went there for my first massage as a Valentine's gift from my husband. My masseuse was a woman named Prasha. She was very professional and she had a very light hand shake so at first I wondered if the massage would be hard enough. After I got in to the room she told me to take off as much clothes as I was comfortable with so I opted to leave on the panties. She gave me plenty of time to do that as she waited outside. Then I got on to the table and it was heated! It was wonderful. She did a massage that relaxed my whole body, and focused on my back. She even massaged my head... as well as my butt. I was so relaxed I didn't even care. She was a tiny girl but was incredibly strong! I did not fall asleep but I was in a trance. When I was all done my mind was just blank! I was so relaxed it was like my mind was asleep even though I hadn't fallen asleep. After that I went to the circle k and bought a $2 scratch ticket and won $14 dollars. A nice topper for a wonderful valentine's treat. The only downfall of this place were the receptionists who just kept talking crap about different people. I wondered what they would say about me after I left because I realized when I got in my car and looked in the mirror that I had a circle imprint from the headrest on my face! Other information: They have both male and female masseuses. If you make an appt and cancel they will charge your card for the massage because you took up valuable time that they could have used to make money from someone else. I scheduled - last minute - for a massage and facial. Scheduling over the phone was super easy and the receptionist was flexible and friendly. My massage was good. No complaints. It was a good, solid massage. Now - here comes the facial part of my review. Lisa was fantastic! This spa uses Murad, which I like a lot. The aesthetician is was made my experience fabulous. We did extractions and an exfoliation. Out of this world!!! I am definitely scheduling for a chemical peel in a few weeks. With Lisa. Since I this was my first time at Massage Envy I got a special rate. It was $49 for each treatment, for a total of $98. This price cannot be beat. Next time I know it will cost more, and that is fine! So word up - go get a massage and facial and take advantage of the "first time special". I've been to a number of Massage Envy's in Colorado and I've had some great experiences, just none of them occured in Broomfield. I do not find the staff to be friendly at all, in fact, whenever I have called to make an appointment, I always got someone on the phone that clearly did not like their job. Their tone of voice clearly said, "I don't care." I didn't ever feel like I was being heard. I scheduled an appointment with someone new and then asked if they did deep tissue...the guy on the phone says, "Um, they all do." I found the therapist with my name on it. I'm fused at several levels of the spine and am a chronic pain patient. Charles is the best therapist I've ever been to and I've been getting massage for over 25 years. I also have experience as a massage therapist. He is so intuitive and gifted!! This location has been a source of frustration on several occasions, the latest being today. We've tried repeatedly to schedule a couple's massage. My boyfriend is a member, and he gives me a massage from those saved on his account. But, if you want to get a massage and are not a member, you need to plan on scheduling at least a week in advance for a couple's massage (even if one of you is a member). We've accepted that they're just busy for their couples space, and scheduled well in advance for today's massage. However, when we arrived, we were told that due to a scheduling mishap, the room wasn't available. Because there was a single person getting a massage there. So, the long and short of it was that they needed the room, so they just took it. And they didn't let us know until we'd driven there. So...we were not happy. They tried to make amends by offering a free add on (aromatherapy, foot scrub, etc.). We accepted one and decided to just get our massages because we both needed them. I had E.J. and he had C.J. (As far as we can tell, they just use initials for the therapists.) We both requested medium pressure massages. Mine was on the light side, even after I said she could press harder. E.J. has a really nice, friendly energy, though, so I accepted that this was just her style. However, I left disappointed. My boyfriend, though, had such a light massage that it didn't even qualify as a massage. At one point, his much older female masseuse simply sat with his head in her hands. We suspect she thought he was sleeping, and had simply stopped working. Once he moved (after enduring her doing nothing for about 3 minutes), she started working again. He demonstrated the pressure she used...let's just say it was like he was trying to very gently wipe off cobwebs...if I were a burn unit patient. The only other negative is that we prefer female masseuses and several times there have only been men available. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly. We just want a real massage, and a couple's massage when we schedule it. read more

I have been coming to the Broomfield Massage Envy for nearly a year and have been really happy with every massage and therapist. I dislocated my shoulder and broke my arm with torn rotator cuff damage and the treatment I received to help me during the horrid healing process was incredible. I am grateful for the relief that so many of therapists have given me. I have found that asking about the therapists different special areas of focus - reflexology, deep tissue, injury, etc was really helpful in connecting me with the right people. Fast forward to 9-2016:: I haven't been in for quite awhile and am not kidding when I say I received one of the top five best massages I have ever had last weekend. Stay away! I booked a 30 min body stretch for my 16 year old son. When booking online there is a question about being a minor. I clicked yes. The appointment books with Shannon. I take my son who is and I'm informed that they don't do 30 min only 60 and that Shannon doesn't do minors. They acted like I was so dumb for not knowing that. I explained that I booked the appointment online. Shannon was extremely snotty to me! The lady behind the computer was equally condescending. Such a money grab! I know that they could have done 30 min but they want you to think your only option is 60 min. Such a SCAM!! read more

Paid for an 1.5 hour massage and did not receive a full body massage as requested. Was experiencing some lumbar issues but no work was done on this area. Massage therapist was very nice but her work did not give the result that I normally get from a massage. Also, the front desk person is not a people person and was pushy about their membership program. I came here because a friend referred me but I will not be back. I'm visiting CO from Southern California and my big sister and I came here for massages because she just had a baby, but I think I got the better end of the deal! I HiGHLY recommend Zac, he gave me the best 50 minute massage I've ever had and gave me recommendations for what to ask for in the future. The girls at the front were incredibly friendly and I couldn't have been happier with the therapist I ended up with. When I activated my 3 month membership, I have had nothing but trouble with this location. From mixing me up with another people, failing to call when changes were made to the schedule, errors on my account. The manager was flippant and dismissive of me when I called to clear this up. When I stated I never wanted to use their services again he didn't care. He is in customer service and should care. I wonder how many other customers left because of this locations staff. The front staff, clearly does not know what they are doing and are unprofessional. The manager doesn't know what he is doing. It is too bad, I started at this location in 2011 and was really happy with it until the new management took over and now I have no desire to ever use them again or any Massage Envy for that matter. read more

I would give them Zero stars, if that was an option. I went here in 2013 for a massage, hoping for relaxation and rejuvenation, and instead got touched inappropriately. And in true misogynist form, he insulted my body as well. When I reported this to management, my repeated emails and voicemails were ignored. This particular ME has very poor customer service. On 7/28/18 I had called to take care of some business over the phone, didn't get an answer and didn't leave a message. I figured I'd drop in since I was running some errands. I called before arriving there to see if I can speak to someone, still no answer. I got to ME and the door was locked and it had a combination key box on the door and no sign stating the purpose for a closure. I sat in the parking lot (since I had some other business to take care of on the phone)thinking they probably have a client, but after sitting in the parking lot for an hour and 45 mins, not one person came out of the building. Yelp showed that they were open. I called this morning and Juliana was handed the phone, I explained to her what I went through ( mistakenly stating it was on Sunday) because she stated she was there all day Sunday. I corrected myself and stated that she was right it was Saturday. Juliana stated they had a company event and I asked why there wasn't any sign on the door and she stated it was on the side. Whatever...I looked all over the windows not one sign stating closed due to company event; you'd think there would be a sign since "Walk-In's" welcome. I had to go though all this BS just to have a cancellation form e-mailed to me. Don't waste your time here. I recommend ME in Westminster. Briefly spoke to the therapist before changing. 10 minutes later she finally came back. I am not a talker but she was. I think after a while she caught on. Overall it was a good massage. It ended about 5 till to give me time to change. So... My hour massage was really only 45 minutes. Still had a meh vibe about this location. I have been a member at Massage Envy (Broomfield) for about 3 years, since the previous owners were there. I had a wonderful therapist, so I put up with the horrible treatment by the new owner. But, after the 4th time they called me at the last minute to cancel my appointment I had finally had enough. I have been treated like this owner is doing me a favor by allowing me to be a customer for long enough. I did some calling and discovered that I could use my membership at another ME and they would bill the Broomfield franchise for my membership. I miss my massage therapist, and am still trying different therapists in Superior, but it sure is wonderful to be treated as an appreciated customer for a change. read more

Tiffany was insanely wonderful at the front- she was sweet and helpful and made me feel welcome! My esthetician Stacy was sooooooooooooooopp wonderful and gave me the BEST facial of my life! My husband and I have been clients at Massage Envy Broomfield, CO for many years. This location has changed ownership several times since we became members. We have both used the same therapist for most of our massages and Prashna has been awesome. A few years ago, my husband realized that the massages are not beneficial for his line of work. He is a self employed carpet cleaner and while the massages brought great relief, the next day his body would be a mess because he had to go back to work! He contacted Massage Envy to see about cancelling his membership and leave mine open and requested that they transfer his remaining massages to me. Of course they would not do that and also told him that if he cancelled his membership, I would have to start a new membership in my name only and prices had gone up so I would have to go with the new prices. I was added on to his account so basically I didn't have my own account. I guess I don't understand why if we are one account, why can he not transfer his to me. I would use them! He decided not to cancel with the hope that he would eventually use the ones he's accumulating. He also looked into "freezing" his account but was told that when he activated again, he would be back charged for all of the massages in between. What's the point of that?! I recently spoke with the manager I believe "Scott" twice with regard to the fact that obviously my husband is not going to be coming back for massages and what can we do? He was going to talk to the owner and get back to me. He didn't so I went back a second time and was told the owner is willing to give me 10 of my husband's outstanding massages which are over 50! That was unacceptable to me so I asked him to give me the information to get in contact with the owner myself. He wouldn't give it to me and said he would talk to her again and get back to me by the following Tuesday. He didn't. In the mean time, I have learned that many clients have been successful in getting massages transferred under similar circumstances but not without a huge battle. This owner obviously feels perfectly ethical in keeping several thousand dollars of our paid for services not yet rendered and calling it quits. I am looking into legal help for this but wanted to share my story. If all Massage Envy locations operate this way, stay away from them and their contracts! I have been a member here for several years and I have enjoyed all the therapists I have seen, some I liked better than others. My issue is with management. I put my membership on hold to catch up on sessions I have accumulated. I have to pay a $20/per month fee for this "courtesy". I don't consider having to pay to use sessions I have already paid for a courtesy. I also resent being told I have to schedule at least 2 sessions in advance also in order to enjoy this "courtesy". I am having surgery in 10 days and will not be able to get a massage for some time. I rescheduled a appointment for 2 days later and get hassled about that. While it started out well, it has now become the most unorganized place run by the incompetent Phillip Huntley as the manager. I had 5 services scheduled in 2 days for myself and family members and NONE of them went as scheduled!!! They have no desire to put the customer first and would rather just cancel your appointment, or put another therapist in the place of the one you requested, or just FLAT OUT LIE to me that another therapist would take over for the injured therapist who couldn't do her job to the full 100% of her ability (yet she was still performing massages!)!!! But hey....they'll take your money for it!!! They do not have enough female therapists available at most times. I WILL NOT be using the rest of my massages at this location. I will use them at another location and then will cancel my membership because I'm not allowed to transfer from this base location to another one. That's, $3,000 this location has earned from me, and I haven't used this location in 4 years...but, now that I want to cancel I am told that I have to physically come into this location and fill out the paperwork. Please don't tell me your only following corporate direction, please don't tell me that you don't know why I can't email or telephone to cancel. Horrible corporate policy, and even worse customer service for the manager of this location to not be able to take care of a customer. Very dissatisfied. Not to mention the entire reason I am cancelling is because I'm really over every "massage therapist" being overweight and their belly rubbing on me during massages, or even better the "massage therapist" is sick and constantly sniffs, or coughs or clears their throat during my massage.
