BE AWARE OF THEIR POLICIES. I placed my account on freeze because I have not has the opportunity to use approximately three- four months of bi weekly messages. The freeze cost me $20 a month and is good for three months. I requested these credits to be transferred to my wife but apparently they cannot be transferred during the freeze! Only I can use them even though they are already paid for!!! I was not made aware of this but remind to to look at the very, very fine print. So, logically, I requested to cancel the freeze so I can transfer the account but this can't be done either until another 2 months. Freezes last three months!! So massage envy is profiting 3-4 months of credits that are not under my control as well as another $60 that I cannot cancel that they also control. This is outrageous. This review is for the building/massage rooms. I've had over 6 massages at ME in Corinth. Each time I go in there I am freezing while I wait for the tech. The waiting room is dark and extremely cold (we're still in winter months). I think the AC was set at 60-65. Not necessary, all the employees had on hoodie jackets. As for the massage rooms, they too are very cold, thank goodness for the heated tables but arms or legs that stick out are very cold still. The music is HORRIBLE! Did I mention, the music is HORRIBLE?! As for the techs. I finally found one that actually massages and doesnt just rub you gently with oils. I ask for deep and I get a lame massage. Thank you David for listening to your clients and providing a wonderful deep massage. Highly recommend David, he listens and produces a nice, relaxing, enjoyable session. I still think $65 is a little steep for 55 minutes of therapy, at least the price hasnt gone up. Im tempted to schedule a stretch session to see how that works out, maybe next month. read more

This business does not honor cancellations received through "THEIR" text messaging system. Went to their location and spoke with the front office. I shared with the front office the actual cancellation confirmation I received from their text messaging system. Then proceeded to call this business several times over several weeks and received no response. They obviously had no intention or reversing the charge. I would give 0 stars if I could, but 1 is the lowest this will go. Avoid this location at all costs - there are plenty more in the area you can go to. The customer service is horrendous and the manager, Abby, won't lift a finger to do anything. My wife and I have been paying members to ME for 7.5 years and canceled our membership because of this one location. She scheduled a couples massage for us on my birthday this year. We both walked in, checked in, got back to the room and her therapist walked in and said "I don't feel comfortable doing prenatal massages" and we were sent away. When my wife originally booked the appointment, she asked for prenatal and we got assigned this therapist. We spoke with the manager, Abby, who just offered to rebook us for another time without any sort of explanation of how this could have even happened in the first place, let alone any sort of accommodation for ruining what my wife planned for me for my birthday. On another occasion (just this week), I had an appointment booked two weeks out for a 90 minute massage. I got a call the day before asking me to confirm my appointment and if I could move my appointment 30 minutes prior to accommodate the needs of the therapist having to leave early on the day. I wasn't able to answer that phone call, but called them back a few hours later to confirm and happily move the appointment. When I called, the receptionist told me that they took a booking in those few hours between their call and me calling them back so my 90 minute would have to be 60. I argued and told them they should call the other person who just booked and have them moved since I booked my appointment two weeks ago, and they just blamed me for not responding fast enough (they called me on a Monday morning). I asked the manager, Abby, to call me (she didn't) and she emailed me instead blaming me for not responding fast enough and all they could do was either shorten to 60 minutes or rebook me. She even had the audacity to say in her email "I wish we could have accommodated both appointments, it wouldn't have been fair to cancel another client's session to make that work. I know that kind of situation would be equally disappointing if it happened to you". Are you kidding me!? That's exactly what happened to me, and I can confirm that IT IS equally disappointing and is indeed not fair. read more

Sure you are not always going to have a good therapist, but you keep trying until you get one. I have had a situation where I did not have the best massage, and I addressed it to the manager who made sure to take care of it before I left. First, the ladies in the front office have been so welcoming and always so smiley! They get me check me in quickly and I'm on my way. The young ladies act as though they want to be there, which is hard to find these days with young people. Each of them have been helpful in scheduling, answering questions and being informative. The therapists! For the most part, the couple of therapist that I have worked with in the last several months have really listened to me and my needs. They have been knowledgable in answering my constant questions. The most amazing thing is that they started offering 2 hr sessions with my therapist. I have Fibromyalgia, so having a 2 hr session every 2 weeks helps me tremendously!! And I love my therapist! She is always happy to see me and she listens to my every need. Got a sore back from moving and was working near Corinth today. Haven't had a massage in the last 20 years and thought it might help. Advertisements for the membership are prominently displayed in the business. So while I am near Corinth today for work and after setting my appointment, I called the one near Weatherford to learn about the membership since that is closer to where I live. I learned that Corinth doesn't honor the introductory rate but the other one does. So $120 plus $15 for something muscle specific is what what I ordered and it's $80 at another ME. I went ahead and kept the appointment since I'm here and sore. The masseuse Kirk was fantastic! Now the kicker, displayed in the dimly lit room is the "expectation" amounts for tipping. At no time was this ever discussed or prominently displayed in the reception area, online, or during booking. Of course I'm not gonna be a dick and stiff Kirk so I paid the gratuity and told them to delete my account, I guess that's my one and only ME visit I think I'll look for an independent license masseuse. read more

This review is a warning to anyone who's thinking of signing up for Massage Envy's annual membership. If you do, be prepared to kiss $780 goodbye no matter your satisfaction level with their service and be fully prepared for them to use hidden fees and manipulative sales tactics to keep you on the plan. This is a summary of our experience and why we'll never give them our business ever again. We purchased the annual membership at $65 a month with the idea that the massage therapy would aid in our well being. We quickly determined after three months of not using the service very much that this was an unneeded expense. We asked if we could cancel and they said no were contractually obligated to pay for a full year. Not happy about that policy but those are the rules. We asked if we could at least cancel then and there but continue to pay our annual commitment to avoid auto-renewal. They said no. You can only cancel on your anniversary month. So, we wait 9-months to cancel, paying the $65 each month and not using the monthly credits. August comes around and we try to cancel three times. Each time it's a different excuse. Well, you can't technically cancel until September even though you have made 12 payments. You can't cancel until you come in person and filled out a cancellation form. Well, we didn't receive your form so you're not canceled. While trying to cancel, we asked about what to do with the (9) one hour massage credits we had stored up. They said since we are canceling our membership that we only get 60 days to use any existing credits or they become voided. So now we have 60 days to get nine massages. I ask if it's possible to transfer some of these credits to other people as gifts or maybe resell them to help cut our losses. They say, "Oh sure, but it will cost you a $10 transfer fee." That's messed up but so be it. We'll make the best of a situation. We then come back one week later with a list of names to transfer 6 of the credits. But, now they tell us that we can only transfer one credit a month. And on top of that, if we do cancel (for the fourth attempt now) then we cannot transfer anything in our last 60 days because canceled members can't transfer credits. I escalate my request to a GM and was denied. The service rep offered a solution to freeze our account for 6 months to allow us more time to use and transfer the credits and then cancel at the end. We didn't want to continue this relationship with this business anymore but this seemed like a decent compromise until she told me there would be a $20/month freeze fee. And, that's when we completely lost our last ounce of patience with this horrible company. Please don't give this shady company your money. Learn from our experience and ditch this corporate chain that has no regard for you as a customer. read more

I have been going to this location for approximately one year, and the last 3 times I have had an appointment my massage therapist has cancelled the same day, and to re-book with her at a time that is convenient for me, I have to wait at least 3 weeks. The last time I accepted, still made another appointment for my regular person, and tried a different therapist. Needless to say, it was not as good. So I have asked for a refund and am told that because I signed a contract I cannot get my money back. It seems like I signed a contract with them but they have no obligation to fulfill their end of the contract. I mentioned being there for a migraine and they talked about throwing in aromatherapy and they wouldn't charge because I had a migraine and they wanted to help. I thought wow that's nice. My massage therapist was great. He helped find trigger points to relieve some pain. The front desk at check out was pushy. They kept pushing a membership even when I told them I didn't want one and wasn't buying one. Then they charged me for aromatherapy...which I wouldn't have minded if they hadn't of specifically mentioned including it for free. The massage was worth it. I've been going here since they opened but was a "massage member" for almost 2 years. I cancelled my membership abruptly yesterday due to their inflexibility to waive the cancellation fee due to the flight schedule for my husband and daughter being delayed due to storms that blew in. The index card answer provided was simply interpreted as we don't care that you need to pick up your family at a different time. We are still going to charge you. So I drove to the store and cancelled Immediately. Just sorely disappointed. I have never cancelled an appointment in less than 24 if ever, always on time with payments etc. and this is what it boils down to. A cancellation fee charged when this is one of those few times I feel it warranted the fee be waived. Besides it was hard to find availability with the 2 therapists I actually thought cared enough to do a good job. Please know they truly do not care about you here. They don't even care for each other. It's been said the new owner has been taking away a lot of perks for clients and employees. Your money will be better spent elsewhere. I have been with Massage Envy for 10 years. I love my therapist! They have however screwed up my billing on multiple occasions. My "home" location is Southlake, which makes it really hard to correct the mistakes at Corinth. After discovering that they were taking away hours they shouldn't have at the beginning of the year, I just discovered they did it again!! 6 hours!! The equivalent of half a year of massages. When I discussed this with them for the SECOND time, the front desk personnel were snippy and defensive. The Director of Operations, Ashley was supposed to call me. They said she tried several times, however I have caller id and voicemail and no calls. I had an appointment for a 50 minute massage about two weeks ago with Jeremy. This was my first time at this location, and was a gift from my boyfriend. They were able to schedule me for a same day appointment, which was great. The spa itself is pretty typical, clean and quiet. The massage was underwhelming. I'm not sure if the therapist didn't know how to give a good massage, or just didn't care. His technique was uncomfortable, he didn't use enough lotion, and the session was ended more than five minutes early (so about 45 minutes of actual massage time.) First, let me say that everyone is friendly. However, they lied and misrepresented their sales pitch, so don't believe them. I made the mistake of glancing over the papers that were given to me as she explained the service. Was told that I could cancel at any point and there would be no penalty. However, this is not the case. They made an error with my appointment and gave it to someone else. They apologized and offered to add a $10 service for my inconvenience. Could they spare it? I was booking my appointments for every 2 weeks and they offer $10 for somehow losing my appointment. Firstly, I get massages because I have chronic neck/upper back pain due to my abnormally straight spine in my neck (most people have a curve). I go more as therapy and less for relaxation. I've been a member here for about a year and a half. In fact, I moved from Denton to Las Colinas, but continue to use this Corinth location because it is just simply the best. The front desk workers are friendly and helpful. The waiting room is relaxing and a great place to unwind between work and a massage. I have found my perfect therapist and see her about once a month. I think it's important to find a therapist who you feel comfortable with and understands your needs. The membership benefits are great! With my fees, I get 1 60-minute massage per month plus benefits like reduced pricing for extras/other massages or facials, the ability to transfer massages to friends, extra half-hours to add on every once in a while, etc. I will not be cutting off my membership anytime in the foreseeable future! read more

I scheduled an appointment online for Sunday, 10/24/21. Once I got to the Corinth Store, the receptionist said she could not find anything on me, but knew my name. Said they are having issues with the online. I had to fill out the profile again. Said there was an opening. I requested a full body and Rapid Tension Relief. I was told to wash my hands and she did not explain why. The Therapist came for me, did not introduce himself. He began the Rapid Tension Relief, 15 minutes later, the Therapist wanted to know what area to focus on because they were short of help. Left the room, came back 5 minutes late, Trying to be nice, I told him, since you are short of help, I can reschedule. He then said well its because you had to fill out the paperwork and we fell behind and you asked for the Rapid. . I told him, he had just finished his last client and it is not my fault my paperwork did not upload. The receptionist told me that for 30 minutes, the Rapid Tension Relief is 58.00 and I will charge you the intro fee of 39.00. I told her that it was not even 15 minutes, but you want to charge me full. I WAS RIPPED OFF! This was the first time I was there and was considering it being a monthly thing. NOT! The worse customer service ever. If there was a negative 1 for rating, this will be what I would give them. I went there because, i was in bad need for a massage and left the same way! I received a gift certificate for my birthday and went in with an open mind but was pretty disappointed with the overall experience. The front desk staff was okay, but definitely not spectacular. The ambiance was lacking and the massage itself was far from therapeutic or relaxing. I understand the therapists rely on the clients to let them know how the pressure is but what about technique? Many of us, who aren't trained or licensed, have to trust that our masseuse will use their expertise to provide the best customized service possible. My massage felt more like an oily rub down and the overall feeling during the massage was lacking. I did communicate that I wanted to relax but wanted medium pressure and more focus on the upper body. I did not feel like I got that. The massage did not even last 50 minutes. It was later in the evening so I imagine she could have been tired from a long day but now I have $30 left on a gift certificate that can't be used because I do not plan on joining and after your first time it's more than $60 for a massage. read more

My wife and I signed up for a couple's massage for our anniversary. We make the appointment a week in advance. When we arrived, 15 minutes before our appointment, as instructed, we were informed that the couple's room was occupied. We were given the option to get massages in separate rooms, or leave and pay anyway. Their cancellation policy is that if you don't get your massage and cancel in less than 24 hours, you have to still pay for it. I was alright with that policy when I was informed of it over the phone, but they never called up to say that the couple's room would be unavailable. It was only after we arrived that this was brought to my attention. We had to fill out paper work on any medical history stuff that might be important, and we were ushered into the "relaxation room." Here we were given a plastic cup of tap water and a paper coffee cup of luke warm tea. Sugar for the tea was located outside the relaxation room near the register. The receptionist told us that she would give us a fee sugar foot scrub if we still wanted to have our massages. Feeling like we were up against a wall, we agreed. The massage itself was alright. I don't get a lot of massages, so I can't determine if it was good or not. I wasn't very impressed when 30 minutes later the massage was over, and we were brought to the register and charged for two full hour-long massages. Never going here again. Will do my research next time and find a place with better reviews. read more
