The massage table didn't even have a cover sheet, the massage oil was not good quality, there was no relaxing music, and the room was very small. Instead of feeling relaxed, I felt uncomfortable the entire time. Unfortunately, the massage itself was not good, and I left feeling like it was a waste of time and money. I won't be coming back, and I can't recommend this place based on my experience.

The only thing I will mention is you need to leave early so you don't get caught up in Pasadena traffic. However, I recently noticed an additional $20 charge on my credit card for the double booking. While policies are in place, this is excessive given the circumstances. I'm willing to accept the charge, but I must express my disagreement. I am never going back to your business. To be clear, I was a generous tipper for your staff during my visit, yet that seems to have had no bearing on my overall experience. This has led me to reconsider my loyalty to your business. Numerous alternatives offer similar services, and their customer service is worth considering. You may have lost a long-term customer due to this incident. I hope you take this feedback seriously. Is your business really that desperate for $20?

The craziest part to me was that my fiancé felt uncomfortable because his masseuse was only using one hand because she was using her other hand to be on her phone calling people. HUH??? How unprofessional. I was baffled to hear this. Then the last half of the massage it seemed like she was simply rubbing just to pass time and not actually massage. What can I say about this place other than ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!! I have been wanting to try Massage Envy out for a while because I hear it is a great place (there's so many of them). I have been to other spas and paid a big amount for a massage, some good some bad. I didn't know what to expect for $49. But it was worth the try. Wow it met every expectation!! The waiting room was quiet and relaxing, the facility was clean and well decorated, the front desk staff was polite and welcoming and my massage was amazing. When I first walked in, I was greeted with a friendly hello and smiles. I was guided to the waiting room with dim lighting, soft music and fresh spa water. This were looking good so far. My massage therapist Natasha approached me, shook my hand, gave me a welcoming smile and had me follow her to the massage room. I explained to her how excited I was. She was very sweet, asked me if I needed to use the restroom, asked me what my needs were, if I was feeling any pain today, she even told me to feel free to interrupt her if I need her to change the pressure or if I was cold/hot during the session (I've never been told this before, I felt so special) Before she walked out of the room, she asked me if I would like her to turn the table warmer on. I was thinking "What???!!??!" A table warmer??? Oh yeah!!! :) She was extremely knowledgeable, experienced, professional, accommodating, gave perfect pressure, didn't talk, let me relax, worked hard on areas that needed it but still kept me relaxed. Put a pillow under my head and covered my eyes with a towel. I felt extremely pampered. It was an amazing experience. After all of that, the main thing that stuck out for me was at the end of the session, before she walked out of the room, she informed me that she would be waiting for me in the hallway with a cup of water and asked me "Would you like plain water or cucumber citrus water?" I've been to many spas where they give you a cup of water at the end of the session, however I have NEVER been asked if I'd like a certain type of water. I really received a $100 experience for half the price. After this amazing treatment, how could I not become a member??? Thank you Massage Envy and Natasha for welcoming me into your spa. I have been involved in "The Health & Wellness Industry", for over thirty years. I get massages and facials on a regular basis and I have spent hundreds of dollars on these services!!! After all we all know that a regular massage and facial leaves you feeling wonderful on the inside and out... I stumbled on, "Massage Envy, South Lake Pasadena", while on my way to Trader Joe's, which is directly across from them. I do not know what made me walk into "Massage Envy" that day, but it changed my life!!! As soon as I walked in everyone was saying hello, come on in and smiling, it seemed odd at first. I realized that I was so used to bad greetings, bad service, I thought is this real??? A woman at the desk got up and came up to me and said hi, I am Lucy what is your name and I told her Francesca. She asked if I would like some water, I said no, but she said it has cucumber's in it, Tim made it... I thought who is Tim, then she introduced me to him. He was sweet, but seemed kind of shy. He welcomed me as well, so did Lauren with this huge never ending smile.... I thought to myself this is really wonderful, I am not dreamimg!!! I asked for information and I was given a lovely tour, the quiet room was peaceful, and given information about their incredible Membership and the rest is history!!! I am a Member, I get a Deep Tissue Massage from Lupe and a Dr Murad, Anti-Aging Facial, from Melinda every month for $98.00 dollars, I STILL CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW THEY ARE ABLE TO DO THIS? You are getting quality at a price that is unheard of!!! Oh, Melinda uses Dr Murad products and now that I am a Member I get 10% off my products as well!!! My wife and I had booked a couples massage for our anniversary, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we were running late for our appointment. When my wife called to see if we could reschedule, the manager was incredibly unhelpful and downright rude. Despite explaining our situation, the manager insisted that we would be charged the full amount and refused to reason with us or explore any alternative options. I was shocked by the manager's smug and dismissive tone during our conversation. It was clear that our business was not valued and that the company's policies prioritized profit over customer satisfaction. I feel compelled to warn others that Massage Envy is not the place to go if you value flexibility and understanding. i came to massage envy for a massage and it was great! i walked in and was greeted by the front desk, they were so friendly and made me feel really welcomed. my massage therapist sophia was really polite and relaxing. i was a little nervous because it was my first time but she made me feel really comfortable. after the session i decided to get the membership(: everytime i go in they greet me by name which is why i love coming to this location. i was also surprised to find out they do facials and chemical peels! ive been coming for a few months and my acne has disappeared, its so amazing what a monthly facial can do i feel so confident now with my clear skin. i also highly recommend trying the chemical peel i feel like a new person(: tami was my esthetician she was sooo nice and gave me an entire kit with over 5 products after the session for free!!! i highly recommend this location! read more

I went to Envy Spa (next to Trader Joe's on Lake av.) this morning and I have to say the massage I had was really awesome! My therapist, Frank, was really nice and shows interest on my back and neck pains. I asked for a deep massage and it was exactly as I wanted. He concentrated on my knots, this is exactly what I wished because I have had pain for several weeks. Finally he explained me two exercises I can do during the day to relax my neck and my back. I got their $49 introductory offer and I think it's worth the money. Now if you become a member, which means you go at least once a month, it's $59 the massage and if you want to go several times during the month, the additional massages are charged $39/massage. Would leave zero stars if I could, such a $hitty unprofessional staff. Called 15 min before appointment to let them k ow I'd be 10 min late. Instead of explaining that I could reschedule or lose the time I'm late they all failed to mention this to me knowing full well I could have taken a different time slot and not be robbed for my 15min. So I'm theory got charged an hour and only got 44 min message and not even the manager could have told me this when I phoned such a horrible rule that was not told to me. I've had PRENATAL massages from Leti and Jennifer. Both are just fantastic, I highly recommend either one. The reception staff are genuinely nice, this location has a comfy cozy waiting area (better than the other ME location I've been to), there is ample free parking, and they have a very reasonable resked/cancel policy (4hrs notice, not 24hr like other ME locations!). Overall I always feel very relaxed from the moment I am greeted to the moment I leave. As expected, the massage rooms are not super fancy but they do the trick! read more

I tried to make an appointment for one hour facial two days ago. I was not happy about the receptionist telling me have to have my credit card information for the appointment. As a customer, I don't feel safe to leave personal bank card information to anyone over the phone, the person your company hired may steal my card information when they quit the job. I booked a Regenerative Anti Aging Facial 80 minute session priced at $390 with Lety. When I arrived, the entrance was modern with their skincare products laid out for sale on the side walls. The receptionist took my information, she walked me inside to give me a tour of the facilities. Everything was clean and spotless! She showed me the restroom, makeup area, and shower area which consisted of products such as makeup remover, q tips, cleanser, curling iron, flat iron, brush, combs, hair gel, hair spray, hair mist, etc. Everything I needed, they had. There was a jacuzzi, which was very hot, a dry steam room, a wet steam room, and bath tub area as well. I wish they had a cold room to balance out all the hot rooms. There were wet towels with aroma therapy, cucumbers for your eyes, and plenty of body towels everywhere. The facial I had was wonderful! Lety had magic hands! First, she applied different serums onto my face. It felt so relaxing as she massaged all the products on my face. Then she cleaned off all the dead skin. She applied vitamin c and hyaluronic acid on my face before using the derma pen for microneedling. It didn't hurt at all and just felt like sand paper rubbed all over my face. This is supposed to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and hopefully help with sunspots and pores. The next thing she did was use nu face, which is a device for lifting your skin. I'm in my 40s, so I really needed this procedure. This didn't hurt as well. The last item she put on my face was a face mask. It felt cool on my face and by this time, I was so relaxed. The other bonus items that she did was massage my shoulders, arms, legs, and feet, which is part of the package. When I went home, I had a little bit of redness, but not too bad. It is slowly going away. Overall, did I think the price of this facial was worth it. Definitely, but maybe it depends on the esthetician you get. Lety has had many years of experience, she is knowledgable, and she's good at her job. When I come back for another facial, I'm definitely booking with Lety again. One of the best facials I've ever had! I just feel like if you're going to pay a lot for a massage or facial, you want you're experience and time to be worth it.

I canceled while I still had a credit available, assuming I could simply use it later. What I didn't realize is that once you cancel your membership, you immediately lose the member pricing even for credits you've already paid for. On top of that, the credit expires sooner than I expected. When I recently called to schedule my massage, I was told my credit had already expired. After being a loyal customer for many years, I was disappointed that no exception or courtesy credit was offered. A little goodwill toward a long-time member would have gone a long way. My advice to anyone considering canceling: use all of your credits before you end your membership. Otherwise, you may lose the member value you've already paid for. Sadly, this experience has left a sour impression, and I won't be returning.

My female masseuse has good skillset and comparable to similar service in the area. Her applied pressure was somewhat medium hard level which I like; she is a bit reserved and quiet during the session but enough to have good communication. After an hour, my body feels relieved of the minor tension. I tipped her 33% of the base price. Overall, I was satisfied with their service and price. I recommend them.

Instead of our usual place, as 90% of the time, they don't do a very good job but it was convenient until we found this place. I usually get a full body massage. The ladies that worked on me had really strong hands. They customize to what I need to work on that day. The Manager Lia is a registered nurse from China. She knows all the points on your body and can feel where it was injured and knotted, will focus working on those area. This place now has become our usually massage spa.
