Their massage therapists are ok (Michael is probably the best one still working there) and their facials are typical of a chain institution. Their billing however is HORRIFIC! You are required to give a 30-day notice if you want to cancel your membership which is standard. What isn't standard is when you cancel they have you sign a paper copy of a form, don't give you or even email you a copy, and they can sometimes lose the signed form. They billed me for the following month and when I called they said I had to speak to a manager but one wasn't on duty (it was in the evening). When I called back the next day she was on lunch and couldn't take any business calls during her lunch hour and the person I spoke with advised she usually takes 48 hours to return customer calls. I'm usually pretty chill about these things, but the front desk person also mentioned if I didn't properly cancel as I thought I did I would be charged for yet another month. It is 2022, please get an electronic cancellation option on your website/account or at least have it be standard practice that the client is emailed a copy of their cancellation paperwork. Per my records, I should have had one 60 min credit on my account to be used 90 days from the time of cancellation; I called today and they said I have no credits. At this point, I'm just happy to be done with this place. If you are looking for a massage or facial there are many other reputable places in the area to try. read more

Went in last night totally on a "whim" and not expecting to get an appointment. The stars aligned and there was an available immediate appointment! I am so thankful that the wonderful Andrea and Alexis were working the front desk and asked me all the right questions to not only customize my massage but put me with a therapist that would best suit my needs. Boy were they accurate! I had therapist Vanessa. She specializes in sports massage, deep tissue, trigger points. Oh my goodness did she do wonders to my body and was so in-tune with where my pains were at. Coming from someone who previously used to work at Massage Envy (I will sadly admit I did and I am still not a fan); through this experience I decided to sign up for a 12 month membership (which I never thought I would commit to after working for Massage Envy). To me, the membership was totally worth it because I decided to invest my body through Vanessa. She totally sold me and she's a wellness investment worth making. This was probably the worst couples massage we've ever had. We were scheduled for a 60 minute full body massage, the therapists didn't begin until 15 minutes into our session and then left 5 minutes before the time was up, so we only had a 40 minute massage. They didn't touch either of our feet even once, no foot massage at all. My husband asked for firm pressure, he said it was so light it just felt like she was putting lotion on his back and then resting several times in "pressure points" but because there was no pressure there was not the typical pressure point effect it just felt like she was resting on him. At the end of our massage we expressed our concerns to the front desk staff, they apologized but that was it. The guy at the front desk even said "typically I would try to explain our memberships but due to your experience you probably wouldn't be interested". Nothing was done to compensate for our bad experience. Safe to say we will be taking our business elsewhere. Felt like a waste of money. This establishment was ok for a time. However, in time I found that our contract was not as presented originally. Upon canceling our contract, we met many problems-with differing answers based on who we spoke with. Calls were not answered, closure paperwork was not emailed as promised (still haven't received) and remaining massage credits were not honored even though I was assured that these would be honored for the next 90 days. I tried this place years ago when they first opened and had a good massage but felt they were super pushy about their membership. So much that I didn't want to come back. Fast forward to me getting a Groupon 90 min massage for Christmas. As a mom of littles, I was so excited because I don't get to do this often. I showed up for my 4:30 appt early to fill out the paperwork and make sure I was ready to go for my appointment time. The massage therapist didn't even come to get me until 4:45. So by the time we got back to the room, I changed and she took forever to come back in the room to begin, it was probably closer to 5pm when she began. Well of course you can't tell what time it is when you're getting massaged, so I didn't realize until she was done and I was getting changed that it was not even quite 6pm. My massage was for 90 minutes and I didn't even get 60. She didn't even do one of the free elevations fully. When I asked at the front desk when checking out, I was told 'even though she was late getting you and you were early, it's up to the discretion of the massage therapist if they want to continue and make up the time because we close at 6'. And 'I'll speak to my manager about it'. Well I received no phone call, not that I will go back anyway, but how did this turn into my fault? Sarah was very attentive to detail and went the extra mile to focus on sore spots I was having trouble with. Genevieve gave a superb massage. Very relaxing and calming. We are relatively new members but love this place. We always get the couples massage and love the atmosphere. When we arrive, we are always greeted with smiles and our names. It is rare that this happens today. I've read some of the prior reviews and we have never experienced poor customer service nor been shorted on our massage time. We've had a few different masseuse's and have been impressed with each one. While each has been different, they have all been extremely knowledgeable. Once, I was tempted to cancel due to a headache but came in anyway. Leonard completely alleviated the pain. My last masseuse, Kristofer did an amazing job and was able to provide relief from my Fibro pain and knew pain relievers while at home. My husband is a runner and has been getting leg cramps. Each time we come in, his masseuse has been able to alleviate the pain caused by the cramps. We will continue to visit this location. We enjoy all the staff that works there. read more

I'll summarize up front if you don't feel like reading the whole review: this is the BEST massage you will get for the price! Shannon and Leonard are magical therapists (ask for them, especially if you want deep tissue healing).Their therapists are very well trained and the membership is fairly priced. I don't quite understand the other reviews whining about the "sales" aspect, this is a membership modeled business. Just say no if you don't want a membership. Simple. I started with their intro $49 for a 60 minute with Shannon. I explained that I wanted a deep tissue massage and was not here for a cute spa session, I wanted real healing work done. Shannon focused on my hamstrings that I had torn repeatedly, starting with dry massage to steadily apply pressure to target areas and finished with oil massage to bring relaxation after the deep tissue focus. I was already feeling the muscle magic by the end of the massage, my hamstrings felt more flexible and weren't as sore. Shannon totally delivered on everything I hoped I would get out of the session! I signed up for the membership because it was the most cost effective way for me to continue massage therapy. My next session was with Leonard. I asked for another deep tissue massage with an upper body focus this time, and mentioned I was suffering from daily migraines. He noticed my neck, jaw and traps were very tight and gave most of his attention to those areas, explaining that muscle tightness in that region is a common cause of headaches. NO HEADACHES THE FOLLOWING DAY! I have tried everything to relieve my headaches and teeth grinding from night mouth guards, to prescription ibuprofen, to aromatherapy, to yoga, to corrective dental work, even massage from other places to reduce teeth grinding. So my mind was a little blown that one massage session was able to rid me of headaches for the next week. I had another session a couple weeks later with Leonard and experienced the same headache-relieving results (not to mention, my upper body felt fantastic). Tonight, I had another session with Shannon, and I hadn't been seen for a massage in a month. I was experiencing a serious stress migraine, and Shannon went straight to work at my target areas, this time really focusing on my mid to upper neck and jaw area. My migraine was completely gone by mid-session. These guys are wizards. If you want real healing work, this is your spot. read more

My rating for the management and front desk staff is a zero!!! As far as the products, treatments, massage therapists and estheticians I am rating 3.5 stars. This place has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. They are all about sales and taking your money. From the day I first came in I experienced issues. There is no privacy while the receptionist goes over your paperwork with you in the waiting room and the other guests that are sitting waiting for their appointments can listen to everything you are discussing. Both massage therapists were no shows my first time in. When I signed up for my membership the assistant manager stated the membership was for 12 months but I could cancel at any time or freeze my membership if needed without being charged. About two weeks or so later my husband found out he had to get surgery. I called Massage Heights to cancel and/or freeze my account and the gentlemen on the phone stated he would put in the cancellation notice to his manager Chelle. September 1st hits and I get charged the full amounts. I called and spoke with the assistant manager and she stated I would need to submit the proper documents to actually cancel. Okay fine that is understandable. My husband and I both wrote cancellation letters signed them and attached his doctor's note and hand delivered them. We signed our cancellation documents that day. We were not provided copies of our signed cancellation documents because the assistant manager stated she did not have access to a copier since the manager was not there. She stated I could get a copy when the manager is in. I submitted mine a few days later. My husband's cancellation was not processed until I turned all of my documents for myself in. When I stopped by to drop off my doctor's note it was about 6:30pm. No one was at the front desk. About 5 minutes in to waiting I walked back and called for someone, no answer. Super weird to not have someone at the front desk with the doors wide open and expensive product on the shelf; Oh by the way I was also told by a staff member their cameras in the waiting room don't work either so someone could have easily walked in and taken whatever they wanted. After about 15 minutes finally someone comes up to the front. I called about a week and half later to follow up on the cancellation as well as my copies that were signed. Chelle told me that they have to call the doctor's office to verify they wrote the letters we turned in due to issues with fake notes. Another week and half or two weeks go by still no word from Chelle. I called again to follow up. She states she is still waiting for doctor verification. I asked how long do they allow for a response from the doctor's office until they fully process the cancellation because I am not being charged for another month when I did exactly what I was supposed to do in accordance to my contract. Not anywhere in the contract does is state Massage Heights verifies with the doctor's office and how much time they allow for a doctor's office to verify before they process a cancellation. Chelle kept telling me the same thing over and over like I was dumb or not understanding what she was saying; so rude to deal with. I am very aware of the process and I was also very understanding. About four days before we approached the beginning of October my husband and I stopped by. I was on the phone so my frustrated husband went in before me. Chelle was so condescending in the way she was speaking and didn't like the fact that my husband kept pressing the situation to receive a copy of the cancellation document that we signed and never received a copy of. She called security to have him removed from the premises. I walked in to try and get a copy myself. Chelle then tried to have me escorted because I was his wife. I was very calmly just trying to get a dang copy of the document I signed. I was in shock at how we were being treated. At that point she stated she didn't want to give us a copy because it wasn't signed by her yet to finalize since she was waiting on the doctor. I told her I am not worried about her signature or whether or not the document without her signature was a finalized copy as I knew I would get finalized copies when she did sign off. I merely wanted a copy of what I signed. After all of this hassle our paper work was finally processed the first of October. I have never had such a terrible experience with a company before. From the way we were talked to, the awful communication and processes. The owners really need to take a deeper look at their management team. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Stick to independent people who are passionate about this industry and not these crooks. PS. Beware the Roseville location is connected to a restaurant so forget having a peaceful experience there either. read more

However, at the end of my massage it took 25 minutes for me to pay and leave because I was being talked into purchasing a monthly package. I felt like I was being sold a car. It's too bad because I was so relaxed and left feeling angry and stressed. I told the man, I did NOT want to sign up for anything after he asked me to leave my credit card number and he would hold the rates for me for three days so I could think about it. Really?? Hold my credit card number? I said no, then he proceeded to ring me up and then printed out the contract and asked me to sign it. He said it was a 'tentative' contract. I'm not an idiot, it says MEMBER AGREEMENT on the top with my name and an explanation of the 12 monthly payments I will be making. Sorry to say I will NOT be back there again. read more

I've contacted the management by phone three times, dropped off a signed letter and emailed three times but have been completely ignored. Well I visited Massage Heights for the first time for a massage/facial/foot scrub package. At first, the initial consultation was kind of over the top. Too much too much too much. But ok...it was my first time, so I'll fill out the forms, and talk to the guy about the same things over and over again while he starts the sales pitch disguised as an assessment of my needs. Asking a question and then talking over someone when they are in mid-explanation is annoying. The massage and foot scrub were great even though they use lotion instead of oil, and the facial was clearly done by someone with little experience. No extractions and the massaging of the face neck and head was done with such slight pressure, it was not a massage or even working in of the product at all. I was a little uncomfortable everytime I could hear one of the male staff outside the door of my treatment room socializing and laughing. As a naked woman laying on a bed, it wasn't a relaxing feeling. At this point, I was still willing to come back and try it again, except that it took so long to get out of there after deflecting the high pressure sales pitches. Here I was all relaxed and ready to pay and go home. Instead, no less than 6 different people spoke to me about products and my experience and their package deals. I would have one staff talking to me and another walk up and interrupt conversation to ask how it went. I had to say no to the monthly package deal multiple times and they just completely ruined the relaxed state of mind I was in after my treatments. It's a shame because it's a nice facility in a nice location. I hope they discover sooner rather than later, that people do not want high pressure sales at the places they go to pamper themselves. read more

The first time I came here is because of the cheap price advertised from the sign waiver. The guy at the front desk was super nice but the actual massage was awful, the therapist was super creepy and used very little lotion and LATEX GLOVES. Never explained why he used them. Afterwards I let the front desk know and he was really confused as well as its not typical protocol. I called back and spoke with a manager and she was just as confused and offered a free massage to make up for it. The second one was MUCH better. The aromatherapy was super nice and I was relaxed. Really happy with how everything worked out but do prefer my massage envy. read more

My therapist Alyssian very obviously had her phone- bright pink case sitting out in the room. I've been a member for 7 months and am thus far unimpressed with the quality of massage that I've received. With the exception of one person, it seems as though all of the therapists I've worked with actually want to be either physical therapists or chiropractors and spend more time on stretching and manipulating joints than on actually massaging muscles. If you are going to a massage therapist to be "fixed", well, this may be the place for you. If, on the other hand, you are just hoping to have a nice relaxing massage and bliss out for an hour, I'd look elsewhere. After complaining recently due to a therapist hurting me in the process of trying to fix me (I have spinal pain in my neck and back, and clearly stated I was just there to relax and requested that he avoid those areas), management did credit me the hour back and offered some suggestions for other therapists, but denied my request to end my contractual agreement. What is most concerning is that the therapist, worried that I would say something to management, told me that he has already had a bunch of complaints and didn't want to get in trouble. Hmmmm... When I mentioned this to the manager, he acknowledged that there have been complaints, but downplayed the severity, saying that the reasons given were for minor infractions like "forgetting to bring water" or "not turning on the heating pad". The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are unparalleled when it comes to being amazing people. I can't even explain how many times I've cone in upset and left feeling like a million bucks cause of Sarah just bring the awesome person she is and everyone is always trying to make sure I'm ok enough to be it there doing what I do. We've read all the bad reviews on here and on google and was hesitant about coming to this place but thought we'd chance it for a couples day out including couples massages but Wow!!! My worst experience ever. My appointment was booked over a week ago. We arrived early as requested by the staff when we called. Upon arrival we were informed they were running behind and was ok with waiting for our turn. Then we were informed that because they will be running behind on all of their appointment, they would need to cut ours down from a 60 min massages to 30-35 mins. I was just amaze that this place have the audacity to ask me to allow them to cut my massage in half because they were running behind and needed us to do that so they can get back on schedule. Mind you I was still expected to pay full price. The only offer I was given was another massage down the road at a discount price. What makes you think I would even want to step foot in here again and give you a penny. We've decided to give our money and time to another more worthy business. I wouldn't be surprise if this place close down this this kind of service. read more
