She just went today and asked for an extra half hour, which she was told was $80 extra (ridiculous, but ok). At checkout, she was charged $180 OUTSIDE of the hour massage certificate, because she didn't want to become a member. Unacceptable doesn't even begin to cover it. My husband gifted me a massage here for my birthday. I was so excited to just enjoy it and relax. I got there a few minutes early and the receptionist let me know that since I had been to a massage heights at a different location yeeeeears ago, my husbands gift card would only cover half the massage. When he bought it they sold him a 'first time' massage amount and said that would cover it. If they're so stringent on policy, they should have checked my name and made sure I hadn't been to one many years ago. I was bummed, but hey, not trying to not pay so I was ready to enjoy the massage anyway. Before my therapist was ready for me, the receptionist had tried to get me to sign up for a membership FOUR times. FOUR! It ended with me very directly saying; I am not able to afford a membership right now but will be glad to enjoy today's massage. The massage itself was amazing. Good enough for me to think that maybe I'd ask for a membership from my family for Christmas. Upon going to pay, the receptionist AGAIN just wanted to encourage me to consider a membership. I said " I thought I was clear that that's not an option today." There were others waiting in the lobby for their services. She came back with statements on how good massages were for you and how it'll help my stress etc. at this point all the knots that had just been worked out were back and I started crying. So humiliating! But I told her as calmly as I could "I was already clear that that isn't an option right now. Isn't it enough that I already paid $120 more than you told my husband I would? Please just let it be okay for me to have a service and pay full price. " No apology, no offer of Kleenex, nothing from her. I will never go to a massage heights again because this interaction left such a bad taste in my mouth. I have worked ground up in a spa and literally would have been fired on the spot if my boss had ever seen me be so pushy with someone. She must care more about the commission she gets from signing up memberships than her clients having a good experience. read more

My husband and I both have a membership and this is our favorite location. The front office staff are super friendly and helpful, but not overly pushy. The facilities are kept extremely clean and there's ample parking. With the membership we get one 60-minute massage per month and anything extra is half off. This location is the closest to my residence and I really enjoy how flexible they are with bookings. Most of my appointments are last minute since I never know what my schedule with work is going to look like. It's very easy to call the day-of and see what's available. I really do recommend getting their membership (and they offer different tiers). Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable here. They are insightful and have some awesome customer service. Don't be afraid to be vocal if you need more pressure or whatnot in your massages. They are responsive and only know what you need if you make them aware. read more

This is my second time at this location. I went with the opening 90 minute massage special and returned after signing up for a membership. This location is very clean, convenient parking and has a very calming environment. I have been able to book my appointments easily with short notice. Ms Yi is a great massage therapist and I will continue to book my appointments with her. My only recommendation is to double check the phones. Each time I called to book, I dialed and got an answer with no one speaking on the line, but I could hear the background noise. I had to hang up and dial again and then got a great response with the staff. It's probably just a glitch learning the phone systems maybe - I've seen a few different receptionists in training. I did try the online booking but had trouble signing up with my membership instead of entering my payment info. I'll be giving it another try next time. I will say that when I called after having trouble on line, they were able to see my pending request and got me set up very quickly. I'm really happy to have his place convenient to me! read more

If you're looking for a membership package I would recommend Elements or Massage Envy. These companies are more flexible and accommodating to their members. I have had some unfavorable experiences with Massage Heights personally. With so many options out there, I recommend shopping around before committing. For example, some companies will allow you to gift your monthly massage to a friend or family member should you choose to do so or allow you to utilizing your credits that you were charged for during COVID instead of making you reactive your membership in order to use them (even though I was already charged). I guess everyone is hurting during this time and it shows with their ridiculous excuses. There are definitely better places out there! read more

I absolutely loved the service I had two months ago... so much that I signed in for a membership. Due to financial changes I had to call back and cancel. I did pay for two massages, one used and one unused. When I called today I was greeted by Nikki who stated she was the manager in our call and was very polite but refused to either give me my money back for my service not used or even let me use the service. AFTER paying for it. Never ever going back to this location. The Boerne location is much nicer and more understanding. Shame on y'all for making me waste $75 and not paying it back. After making my appointment and fighting traffic to get to THIS location, I realized that this location is not even open yet.
