I have been to this location twice. I have never heard of this place until my sister took me to massage palace. Upon checking in the host was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. She explained the special that they had which was $60 for a full body massage. My first experience was with Mike and let me tell you that man's hands are amazing. God definitely gave him a good set of hands to help heal people. The second time I came back with a girlfriend and I requested Mike. I think it gets better each and every time. It is definitely a deep tissue massage. You are in a relaxing environment and if the pressure is too much just tell the technician that it's too much. Both occasions gave me immediate relief from the day to day stress. The massage starts at the top of your head then they move down to your feet your legs and then you are asked to turn over and they do your back neck shoulders and the back of your legs finishing off with your hands. My only request would be that they massage your hands like they are massaging your feet. There are a lot of pressure points in your hand that I feel would get some benefit from the massage. My mom and dad had an opportunity to get a massage done and they continually request to go back. So far so good the more I go I will continue to update my review. read more

My daughter was shopping with friends and I had a lot of time to kill so I randomly walk into massage palace and get the combo special. For $60 this is the best "keep your clothes on" massage that you can get. I have a lot of tension in my lower back and neck and the masseuse made sure she put her full weight into those knots. The massage lasts for 70 min and I think she went a little over my time. The combo also includes a bottle of water and a snack! I walked away feeling so much relief and euphorically. First off, I wanted the $60 and got charged $65 for the 30 min foot and 40 min body. My therapist used a black tool that felt like her nails were digging into my foot. However, my friend next to me received a real foot massage with hands from the man who was massaging her. The two were speaking Chinese to each other throughout the entire massage. There were moments when she was massaging my bones and spine and behind my knee. At check out I asked if she was liscensed and the lady in the front said yes, but of course could not give me her MAT number which makes me think she isn't. So then I asked for her name and her name is JOY. If you do go there, I would recommend going to Zudao on Kapiolani or the other one on Kapahulu before ever going to massage palace at ala moana shopping center. Some parts of the massage were good, but most of it was less than mediocre. My 10 year old daughter gives a better foot massage than lazy Joy using a tool. My eyes were covered so I could not see it until the end when I peeked and was like that's why it felt so bad! The Aunty in front claimed I should've told her not to massage my spine and bones and behind my knee but JOY should know all of this, and she spoke zero English so I was not able to communicate with her anyway. Hmmmmm so how did she take her massage liscense test in English? Go somewhere else for a massage! My body will be sore from her tomorrow and probably not a good sore. Loved my therapist-strong hands! He knew where to focus on and how much pressure to apply. I was on a time constraint for my second visit and could only do 30 minutes. For the body massage, I was covered in warm towels and felt so relaxed, at ease, and SAFE, especially due to COVID-19 restrictions. Went in for a 30 minute full body. The man who massaged me was amaaaazing! He got my back to crack and that hasn't happened in yeeeaaarrrsss. I'm pretty sure at one point he was using the wall as leverage to really put all his weight into my back - loved it! I was fully clothed under the sheet but it is optional if you'd rather not be. This is deep massage, Chinese style. The full body rooms are small but fine at the back of the place past about a dozen huge reclining chairs. Lights are dimmed and music is soft so it is super relaxing. Service was excellent and they give you a water bottle afterwards. There were snacks but I think they are for purchase. The menu of services is pretty extensive with prices shown. Definitely going back. It was a great spot to wind down after the craziness of Ala Moana. read more

The Massage Palace is the place to go for a massage especially is you don't like to get undressed for a massage. We got the special for $55 it's a total of 70 minutes which includes a foot bath and foot massage and full body massage including scalp. I had such a hectic day that day and was suffering from a migraine. I'll tell you this... my migraine went away immediately after the scalp massage. He used some type of pressure point technique that worked wonders. They try their best to make it as quite as possible especially since its and open area with many people getting massages. The hostess provided us with water and some Matcha Tea also a snack but I declined the snack. The chairs are so comfortable and cozy I think I need that chair at home. Lol During the massage they inquire about your wellbeing insuring you are ok with the pressure and technique of the massage. To me that is a definite plus. I left there feeling like a brand new person. I think I floated home. Very good place and I highly recommend. I will definitely return very soon hopefully before the special ends. read more

I have been going here regularly and am satisfied with the services and the open availability time slots. Especially now they offer a 20% discount after 7:30 on foot massages. I got there at 7:20 and told the owner (I think) what a GREAT promotion! He said that he could offer it to me; assuming that because it was earlier than that. Afterwards when I went to pay the cashier she didn't honor the offer and the masseuse was standing there waiting to see what I was going to leave as a tip. What a magical oasis in the mall!! I thought it was geared for men waiting for their ladies to finish shopping, or for tourists. But I was drawn to the flashy sign and friendly smile through the window. I thought the ambiance and chairs were phenomenal.. but the massage blew me away. I would have given this place 5 stars had it not for the following issues. The front desk was a bit disorganized. My appointment was in the afternoon but I called in the morning requesting a female masseuse for both me & my husband. I was told yes, no problem. We get to the appointment & the front desk person says they don't have female masseuse on hand but if we could wait she'd call another store. We waited & was told shortly that the masseuses were on their way. We were led to the massage chairs to wait. I got one female & my husband got a male. Then there was a dog. I am not sure what the standards in Hawaii are but I have never been to a massage place that allowed pets and I've gotten one in most countries I've traveled to. Mind you it was not a service animal & it was not on the floor but on the massage chair. Setting aside the above issues, The massage itself was excellent though and for the price, it's hard to beat. I've been getting massages for the past 14 years and work at a massage place myself. Pressure wise, the guy was good. Sometimes a little too hard but I could deal. What upset me was I came in for a pick me up (30 min) and told them my problem areas. Towards the end, he really only worked on two of the three areas. Then a lady came into our massage area and tried to upsell me. I don't mind that part, just don't stop my massage and waste 5 minutes of my massage time to do it.
