Soo, last October I went in for their massage special. Got a very good deep tissue massage from Phil. His massage was a bit different than others I have received all over the place. So I decided to take the plunge and do the monthly. Well here I am 6 months in and I am completely satisfied. I have had massages by others that work there but I seem to enjoy and feel much better with Phil. Also they run some really great specials for their members. In six months I have been able to bank several hours for a fraction/free of the price. I have used my membership monthly and what a difference in my shoulder/neck pain. I came into this establishment with some family members for the first time on new years eve. This review is mainly based on my awful experience with my massage therapist, Savannah. Others in my party likes their massage, based on their therapist. I, personally felt as if I was profiled, considering I was the youngest in my group that I came in with and that I would not care, so I was paired with Savannah, a young amateur. Right when I went back to meet my therapist, I could feel the negative energy from her. She was not welcoming and did not even bother introducing herself or having smalltalk. She literally said my name and walked me back to the room. She seemed like she hated her life because she got stuck working on new years eve. I walk into the room and I immediately notice the dust/dirt on the sheet of the massage bed and I nicely pointed it out. She said oh yeah, I saw that, it won't come off and then proceeded to pull it off and say it was good now. Whatever, I ignored that. She didn't ask me any questions or talk to me, besides asking what I wanted her to focus on. She said the sheets were warm, but I was freezing cold, under there. I asked her a question and she ignored me, um okay. She proceeded to give the massage. I've had massages at other establishments before and let me tell you, this was the WORST massage I have ever gotten. I was not relaxed, throughout the whole experience. It seemed like she was new and had absolutely no idea what she was doing. I began to flinch because of how uncomfortable I was and she says "um, are you okay?" in a rude tone. I nicely told her I just wasn't in a comfortable position and she ignored me. The massage continued and she was literally JABBING into my side. Like, it hurt so bad. After ten minutes of side jabbing, I explained to her that it was too harsh on my side and she ignored me. After she removed the warm wet towel from me, somehow the whole sheet was soaking and I got even more cold from the drenched towel, at this point. I was so ready for the massage to be over. I felt as if I was in a hostile, non-inviting environment, laying there cold and uncomfortable for the whole hour. The best part was when it was over. Savannah was not friendly, nor inviting and absolutely had no clue what she was doing. My body was truly aching, following my "massage". Afterwards, the receptionist asked me if I enjoyed my massage and I honestly said no, due to my assigned therapist. Again, my experience may have been better if I was assigned a different therapist, but I unfortunately did not. They did offer me to come back and only pay the "first time" price with a free "add on", but I won't be coming back, after my experience. As I sit here, typing this, two days later, my back is in aching pain, feeling even worse than before I arrived to this establishment. read more

This place is clean, comfortable and the staff is extremely kind. I signed up for a couples massage with my girlfriend and it was her first time and she was slightly nervous but absolutely loved it. I had Jared do my massage and he was great. We both feel so refreshed and are already thinking of our next massage here. Overall the place is clean and definitely Covid safe. The first thing you notice without even going in, is their calming music. The place is super clean and always smells good. I've been going there for couple of months now and been trying different therapists they have. So far they are all polite and friendly. The ones I had so far seemed to know what they are doing and I enjoyed it. As soon as they figured out I'm a first responder, they gave me a great discount which was nice. My wife got me a gift card for my birthday. Received a massage from Diana. She did a fantastic job! I usually prefer to get a light pressure, relaxation type massage and this was the first person who did not give me a condescending look when I mentioned that. Every other massage I have ever gotten, they try to apply more pressure as the massage goes on. She did an outstanding job and gave me exactly the massage that I wanted. I had a membership here for 1.5 years and loved going. After my last appointment and a different massage therapist (Diane) I woke up the next day and literally couldn't walk. It was determined it was caused by the massage I received. After going to my doctor and 6 weeks of physical therapy I have been referred to a spine specialist. I tried to get a refund on the 'credits' that were on my account because clearly I was not going to use their service anymore and was told by the manager 'we can not issue refunds' They can, they chose NOT to. I have over $2,500 in medical bills, caused by this and all's I was asking was a refund of the membership fees I had on my account as credits to use to pay a portion of my medical bills. read more

Don't buy a membership, it's scam. I haven't been able to use the membership I purchased because each time I call I can't find an appointment time. They will charge you each month whether you use or not, and if you freeze your account the only way to use your hours is to purchase an additional massage, even if you don't want to, just to use the massage that you've already (over)paid for. This place is a racquet with unfair corporate policies. Find a place that charges you for what you use. read more

For my first professional massage, I'll admit, I was a tad bit nervous. As soon as i stepped in the building though, my fears were put to rest. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the ladies at the front desk are absolutely the sweetest. They got all my information squared away and had me sit in a relaxing room with some water to await my appointment. It was only a few minutes until Andrew, my massage therapist showed up. We went over any concerns and areas to focus on and he let me get changed. The massage though, y'all. It changed my life. I opted for deep tissue because I like a little extra push on my muscles and I was NOT disappointed. By the time we were done, my entire body felt like Jell-O. I changed back into my clothes, and Andrew was waiting with another bottle of water for me (water is crucial). Since it was my first massage, I got a complimentary 15 minutes hydro-bed massage, which was the perfect wrap up. I received a mailing for a $99 package so I decided to try them out. MAN, am I glad I did. Very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. After your service, they offer a free 15 minute session on a hydrotherapy bed, during the session hot towels are placed on your back and you can request the same for your feet. The massage table was super soft and heated and there was relaxing music playing throughout the experience. I have a regular masseuse so I had no intention of purchasing further services, but I ended up signing up for a membership and I am looking forward to my next appointment. read more

I need massage frequently. I had decided to try this place and also treat my daughter at the same time. My daughter left crying, in pain. Her therapist went too deep for too long and ignored my daughter when asked to stop. The therapist thought she knew what was best. My therapist was simply asked for a relaxing massage with some extra work on the arms. He ignored me completely. I was treated to 48 minutes of percussion, not relaxing at all, and about one minute on each arm of very gentle compression. read more

I filled out all that paperwork to find out the massage therapist i was scheduled with, Kim, believes she cannot massage someone with psoriasis. obviously she is uneducated and that concerns me with the rest of the staff at Massage Luxe-Novi. The manager was very polite and gave me a full refund but I needed a massage and am severely disappointed. I received a one hour massage gift certificate for Xmas and made an appointment for two 30 minute sessions to be performed on separate occasions. I confirmed there was no issue with this request upon speaking with Luxe. The atmosphere was acceptable although not as relaxing as higher end establishments. I was offered water and tea. Massage focus was on my shoulders, upper back and neck as requested. The masseuse was great and since I was five minutes late was given a $20 tip. On to the reasoning behind a 3.0 rating... Upon leaving, the front desk returned the gift card indicating a remaining balance of $13. They advised me the Luxe Associate who confirmed I could break up a hour session in 30 minute increments was incorrect since the gift card was purchased at a discounted rate of $50. Normally, a one hour session is $74.00 so they deducted $37 from the $50 (hour session gift card) which left a remaining balance of $13! This logic is severely flawed since the person who purchased the gift card was with me AND they had also purchased a duplicate gift card for themselves at the same time mine was purchased. Same amount. However, they received a full hour massage. How about that for sound business practice? At any rate, after various discussions around how illogical it all was I could do nothing more but laugh and kindly cease conversing. Ten minutes later Luxe called me and stated how profoundly sad they were about the situation and offered a15 minute session in the hydro machine. read more
