Security and staff are quick to process and get you in. May want to pregame as drinks are a bit spendy here. Restrooms set off from the floor with dedicated entrance and exit to make the traffic flow good. Good smaller venue to get up close and personal for a show.

The high ceilings make it seem huge. The stage is large and spacious too. They had this red billowing curtain covering for the opening acts before the main band. Sound was great. Also the lighting effects for the different songs was good. We were quite close to the stage so had a great view. Great show! Restrooms are in the back and even though at the end of the show the women's had a long line but it moved fast. There are 17 stalls so that definitely helps move the line. There is a merch counter and a bar. The bar closed at the end of the show, so if you're looking for drinks or water make sure to get them during the show. Overall we had a great time!

We got married in late October and were fortunate enough to get a sunny, mid-60s day. The brick outside is absolutely beautiful, but the space inside is just take-your-breath-away lovely! We had ~115 people attend our wedding and had more than enough room for a dance floor with a DJ. We even had a Bulgarian Dance Group come in and do a performance and there was enough space. We worked primarily with Jeff R. at the CMAC who was amazing! He was extremely helpful throughout the entire process (even on the day of the wedding itself - he was there until long after the event ended). He even recommended an uplighting vendor who was great as well and he added all of these mini touches that made the entire experience special (like focusing a light on us as we made our big entrance down the staircase as husband & wife).

The theater itself is so beautiful that, other than table linens and flowers, we did not decorate it at all because the architecture, marble, and ceiling are so striking. We also used the standard lighting and did not need any extra lights. CMAC gives you a list of approved caterers, so it narrows your options a bit (which was good for us, since we needed a place to start) and will rent tables and chairs to you. We also rented a piano for dinner, and all of these items come out of your deposit. The location is great in that it is close to the T and a parking garage; we walked to a boat near the Cambridgeside Galleria for our coffee and cake, which we would not have been able to do at another location. It was just perfect for us!!! One thing that was absolutely amazing was the event manager. Jeff completely took care of us and helped us by giving suggestions and being really flexible around rehearsal and event times. He even let us lock up items after the wedding and come back the next day for them. He was awesome! THANK YOU, JEFF!

All of the ushers and ticket scanners were super friendly and helpful, and the lobby is pretty, with white walls and a beautiful staircase leading up to the mezzanine. I was first seated in Row K of the Left Mezzanine, and the view was very good. The slope of the seats was great enough that I didn't have any heads in the way of my view of the stage. They also had a large screen so I could get a bigger picture of the stage. My husband and daughter were seated in Row G of the left orchestra, and I was able to join them as there ended up being an empty seat. The view from the orchestra was great, and again, I did not have any heads blocking my view. Sound was also perfect from both the orchestra and the mezzanine. The women's restrooms were large and were downstairs from the orchestra seating. I did not have to wait in line - there seemed to be enough stalls to accommodate the sold out show. the men's room is on the orchestra level, and I think there are additional restrooms on the mezzanine level, and accessible restrooms on the orchestra level. Parking is available at a couple of nearby garages, and The Shubert Theatre staff will validate your parking ticket so you will get a discounted rate. Be sure to check the theatre's website for the specific parking garages. We had a very pleasant evening here at the Shubert and I would love to come back.

The biggest issue with this theater is the seats, they're small, close together and squeaky. When watch a show that is only acoustic guitar or piano, it became very annoying that the seats would squeak any time someone stood up to leave. It became a joke during the show because it sounds like "someone is playing clarinet" and at time "the clarinetist was just punched in the balls". Also, any time someone in the aisle needed to leave, everyone must stand up to let them out, thus more squeaking. Also, bathrooms are downstairs and stairs were steep. If you're disabled this would be a problem. The good here is that the acoustics were solid, entry was easy and staff friendly.

So WHY advertise an Open House if essentially nobody wants to participate?? Is their a reason maybe you have nothing to show ?? You are artists, so dont you want people to see your work and maybe buy something?. Everyone should "relish" this opportunity! Terrible management and poor planning!. When asked why studios not opened, we're told its up to the artists to decide... so fine... get feedback say a week before to know how many will participate??.. if too little participants, then postpone or cancel !!.. Simple management!..Don't waste people's time !!! So, why are you all there in the first place???... MAD AS HELL !.... will NEVER come back!
