Massey of winter Park Lawn Green Up and Irrigation service is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Do NOT WASTE your money! The quality of their irrigation work is horrendous and it took Multiple calls to even get the guy to show up, after several "no shows". We even had a supervisor come and inspect and agree the work was done incorrectly. He recommended that the head of irrigation department to come out and inspect-----NO SHOW after we took the day off!!! Ridiculous! ZERO customer service and we paid $$$$ for the work only to have someone else come and fix all of their crappy work. They are also suppose to provide a monthly check on the irrigation system, we had 3 major leaks and we saw on our Ring camera the car arrive and leave without anyone even getting out to assess the system. I've been a Massey Services customer since February 2023, when I had a brand-new Pro Vista St. Augustine lawn installed and signed up for their recurring lawn fertilization, weed, and pest control program. Nearly three years and 44 paid service visits later (about $2,160 total), the lawn is in worse shape than when it went in. This isn't just my opinion -- it's documented on Massey's own service reports. On 8/28/2023, their technician noted active chinch bugs and broadleaf weeds. On 5/29/2024, a technician came back for an unscheduled visit and wrote, "Sprayed for heavy weeds in the backyard." On 7/23/2024, the notes say "Retreated needed areas" -- meaning an earlier treatment hadn't worked. On 9/23/2024, the technician wrote that he "talked to my manager about coming out and coming up with a solution for the backyard" because of ongoing brown patches. By 10/16/2024, those brown patches had spread to the front yard too. One report from 6/21/2024 even says, in the technician's own words, "I was also doing your neighbors yard which explains the inaccurate time stamp" -- on my invoice, for my property. I've met in person three to four times with the branch managers about this. Massey advertises a "No-Nonsense, Money-Back Guarantee" with unlimited free service calls and a refund if a problem isn't fixed within 30 days. In my experience, that guarantee has not been honored despite nearly three years of documented, unresolved decline. I'd think carefully before signing up for a long-term lawn program here -- ask to see their actual service notes before you commit, and don't assume repeat visits mean the problem is being fixed. We had Massey lawn service for 3 yrs? Had to get Mgr out often to show problems the tech wasn't fixing- the 3rd time this happened ( not long ago)chinch bug had destroyed big portion of our front yd!This should have been addressed 2-3 months ago earlier & treated! We have cameras- every time the Tech came he spent maybe 8 minutes spraying (sometimes not the whole lawn)& took off. We fired them, tho Mgr said they wanted to fix it?! Too late. Rediculous! Ive been a Massey New Smyrna Beach customer for years and Ive spent THOUSANDS with this company. The service started out okay, Over time everything has gone down. When scheduling an appointment for pest prevention please be aware that the scheduled appointment means absolutely NOTHING because the service tech, Angel, shows up anytime he wants. I specifically had Angel as my tech numerous times. He is constantly on his cell phone, shows up too early or late everytime. He's condescending in the manner he speaks to customers and states that "spiders" aren't considered pests so they refuse to come inside the home to spray for them, even though I had a scheduledappointmentfor him to do just that Not only was he late, he stepped one foot in my front door and immediately advised that spraying inside the home is not "standard protocol" for pest prevention. What? So why allow customers to make appointments for that? He blamed the office for not telling me that. Huh? Its interesting that initially they were beyond eager to spray inside and outside, but now its no longer "standard protocol" to spray inside. Seems a bit contradictory to what PEST CONTROL is all about. Angel said that because he didnt see any "active movement " where bugs were crawling around, he couldn't spray. And spraying for spiders wouldn't do any good. He said the spiders werent poisonous. My question is HOW would you know if there were any bugs in my bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc if you havent looked in the home and youre standing at the front door telling me this? Poor customer service, condescending interactions with Angel, refusal to uphold the terms of the contract to spray inside and out for pests, showing up super early or late and being on his cell phone,. The pesticides they're using doesnt seem effective anymore. I'd recommend spending your money where they appreciate you AND they uphold their end of the contract. I've had Massey provide landscape services for the past 6 months + Aeration and it's made no difference to my lawn. I even paid for the expensive GreenUp Soil Conditioning ($1200) and it worked on 1/3 of the lawn, so now my lawn is growing unevenly. How do I know its made no difference? After cancelling, and Massey still showing up to my house a month later, I switched to Bioganics + Weed Control and after the first visit, my weeds in the beds were actually dying. Massey had come to the house twice before with no difference. A week after Bioganics came, the grass that wasn't growing after Massey's GreenUp service, it actually started turning green. Bioganics was 1/3 less in price vs. Massey. Additionally, I've called Massey twice to speak with a Manager since I'm dissatisfied and no return call, even after I was assured I would be prioritized. Save yourself the headache if you live in Central Florida and go with another provider like Bioganics. read more

He explained the situation with the Chinch bugs this year and told me that they would replace the lawn that was dead. Last week they came by and replaced the lawn as he stated. I absolutely love Massey. We purchased our home and there were definitely a few problems - moles & ants. Huge ant hills in our front and backyard. I guess Massey used to service my home. He brought a print out of all the services the previous home owner had and was able to honor the previous pricing since they previously had services. I signed up immediately for mole scram, pest, lawn, irrigation, and termites. I paid for all services in full, which got me I believe an extra 5% discount. Once we signed up, my girl Jackie called me to go over my schedule, and told me to call her with any issues. She told me what days I would get services, and made notes on the account since I had not moved into the home at time of signing up. I get a report about all the treatments they provide, whether it be via email or on a piece of paper that they hang on my front door. Certain people will call me the day before a service & ask if I have any questions or if there are any particular things I want them to look at. I remember there was a storm a few months back. After that, we noticed 2 huge ant hills in our backyard. We called Massey and they were out immediately to treat the ants. A few days later, they called to ask if we had seen anymore ants in other areas, because they drove by a few days later to check and didn't see anymore. My husband finally decided to trim our overgrown backyard 2 weeks ago. It looked like grasshopper EDC was going on back there. THEY WERE EVERYWHERE. He called Massey, reported it, and Massey was out the following week. I haven't seen a grasshopper since, but I have also been scared to go back there. But my husband did say he hasn't seen a grasshopper since Massey came out. read more

I physically came to your Winter Park office to complain about it. I finally got a manager to call me and he assured me that I tech would call and show up. The condition of my lawn has deteriorated in the last year significantly and even after several attempts to contact for someone to come round to the property and discuss this with me i have seen no one. Last week my quarterly irrigation review was completed without my knowledge even though I had asked someone to ensure they spoke to me. Oh Gosh! Where do I start? First of all I would like to give ZERO stars, but it is impossible! My grass died because of chinch bugs and even though I regularly pay every month ($56.00) to them to come to my house and spray against weeds and bugs, I just came back from overseas and the front yard to the right side was dead. I called the company who cuts the lawn and the technician made a video showing me ADULTS chinch bugs - a lot of them which were the cause that killed it. I spoke to the Manager and to the Supervisor to no avail. They simply don't care and gave me a stupid answer that it was fault of 2 sprinklers that weren't working perfectly, which was not - I have the technician coming over again and he said plain and simple: IT WAS NOT TREAT against chinch bugs! On top of that we just had our driveway and sidewalk power washed by another company.
