Pt 2. Honestly, I was gonna delete my review cause I didn't want it to affect your business. I felt bad, but I was never showed the stencil, I only seen it upside down after it was placed on my leg. You have cameras in the store, you can watch it for yourself and see. I was wondering why he didn't have stencil with the ipad image displayed or an actual picture of the tattoo for reference like the several tattoo artist that did my tattoos this past week. I thought that was odd but now I know never to do that again. I just don't like being called a liar. I told him it did not look like the photo after the tattoo and showed him the photo again. You can clearly see it's not detailed like the photo, even the hair is all messed up. Longer at the bottom and shorter at the top. He kept saying I was wrong, He started recording me. I showed him the picture twice before the tattoo and asked if it was going to look exactly like the photo. He told me, I trusted him cause he seemed cool and chill and the deal was good deal for line work. I even put on a sock cause I was nervous and wanted to be polite cause my feet are ugly. honestly I thought he was gonna nail it because I read the reviews. That's why I asked before he did that tattoo if it was going to look exactly like the picture. I should have been more specific with the line work questions because that's the best part of the tatttoo. That's why I wanted it because the outline work is in different sizes. I was never rude until after I seen the tattoo. I didn't try to fight or cuss him out. Gave him the money and asked if he can fix it. I got a few detailed portraits done this week for $200 or less. I told you my budget and you agreed to meet me at $80. If you can't see it not like the image, then what the heck? Like the hair doesn't even make sense, short story top, long pony tail??? the eye lines look like wrinkles. It's all done in one needle size. If you couldn't do it, you could have just said that. Many talented artist out there that would have done me justice. If I was rude, why would he tattoo me? Pt.1 Came in for a tattoo for $80. Was told it would exactly like the picture. Idk what happened. I think he used the same size needle, left out a bunch of details in the photo. I told him it wasn't like that photo I showed him and he started recording me. Great service! The first time I went to this place was when I was 18 and I came back because I had a really great experience the first time and they did not disappoint. I also like that they take walk ins which is a definite plus for me. Cameron was amazing, knew exactly what would look good and was very confident and assured and it made feel relaxed. My friend who had tattoo at this studio introduced this place to me. I then visited this place several times, liked this place, and finally had tattoos by the owner, David. The results of his tattoos, his experiences, skills and professionalism are all the top level. Especially, his price is really reasonable. His price goes by hours, but he is really fast. The total $ for my two large size tattoos turned out was less than a half or even 1/3 of many other places that I had visited. There are several tattooists working at this studio, and I saw they all making beautiful tattoos. Well my son got the best 1st tatoo any 21 yr old could ask for from this exceptionally talented and professional artist named Cameron. The shop was clean, accomodating, and mostly professional with the exception of another tatoo artist (female) who spoke out loud in the presence of my family about being harassed by while walking by some guys, as if her explicit story wasn't enough she went on to stress the fact that they were "them damn Mexicans" as if low lifes don't come in any other ethnicity... my husband and kids are you guessed it, Mexican. Nick is an amazing Tattoo Artist! I met Nick, by chance at my work and he told me about Massive tattoo. I told him that I had a ten year old tattoo that needed, well... tender, loving care. I went to the shop and he said he could fix it. I asked what he was going to do. Which he replied "I'm going to dazzle you". Which he did. I'm 3 sessions into my back piece with Nick. The results speak for themselves. There is also something to be said about Nick's professionalism, friendliness, cleanliness and patience! Nick will be my tattoo artist for life. Eleven hours after entering this shop at 6pm on Friday the 13th ,I am still able to say this shop is five stars .. I decided last minute to head over here because I saw @stevenjackson on Instagram showing the different tattoo sheets that had a variety of different choices that called to a variety of my fandoms ... when I first arrived I had about two or three tattoos that were on my radar for the $20 tattoo special .. If you're unfamiliar with Friday the 13th tattoos typically a variety of tattoo artists will do $13 dollar tattoos with mandatory tips .. each shop has its own set of rules .. I have five other ones from past Friday the 13th and am working on getting a total of thirteen.. this was my sixth Be warned !! If you opt to do Friday the 13th Tattoos get here early and be prepared to wait .. why? Because this is an epic deal by artists who have loyal customers who want to pick up an epic deal but also the guys in this shop are ARTISTS not just folks who are looking to collect your money and get you out of here ... When I walked in I was immediately greeted by Bryson (sorry if it's spelled wrong ) he was trying to keep track of everything in the masses of people .. Usually I make it a point to be one of the first few customers at the shops I hit on Friday the 13th but today things didn't go as planned and I ended up decided last minute to check this shop out and was so pleased that the staff helping out to manage getting people set up with artists and stations clean .. All the artists kept smiles on their face and have been tattooing since 9am 1/13 and three of them are still with customers now at almost 5:30am.. While being here I ran into lots of people who never knew what this event entails which is why I said Prepare to wait if you don't arrive early!!! These guys are working hard and legit are killing themselves in order to give you a great deal and participate in marketing and getting stuff done for people ... While waiting I got the chance to talk to Bryson and not only did he work till 9am but he has a baseball game at 10am today yet he also kept a smile .... I took time to go to the back area to sit on the sofa and got the chance to talk Andrew another artist in the shop and he was super friendly and I saw his work and it was awesome.. Hector was super upbeat and had a loyal following waiting for him and is here still tattooing and Nick was dancing and still is knocking em out ... When it was finally my turn I was able to get the artist I requested which was Steven and he not only still had a smile but he was willing to add some color to my Harry Potter "Always" Tattoo which I am in love with for $30.. Tara was super helpful and knocked it out of the park with her amazing service and smile .. I will add photos later but I just wanted to give this review while it was fresh on my mind and to let it be known that yes You will wait if you come here in Friday the 13th but you won't be turned away and you will leave with amazing work and humble artists who have the type of energy where I want to support and give my money ... Two of my friends were in town for a wedding and decided to get matching tattoos and asked for shop suggestions. I had suggested another shop but because of a misunderstanding, the 12noon appointment they thought they had at the other place ended up being cancelled and they could no longer accomodate my friends. The owner at the other place suggested Massive Tattoo. I met my friends there--it was my first time even hearing about this place. Although I wasn't there to get a tattoo, by the end of my friends' sessions I was asking about other styles they do--I just might schedule an appointment for myself soon! Valerie did the art on both of my friends and they were both very pleased. She was quick yet was able to provide them exactly what they wanted, especially on such short notice. Massive Tattoo is very easy to find and is located in a business park with ample parking. The shop itself is very clean. I watched Valerie clean the area and pull all new supplies after my first friend's session was completed. My second friend wasn't quite sure if she had a latex allergy so Valerie didn't even hesitate and slapped on some non-latex gloves right away. Massive Tattoo is the best Tattoo Studio in my book. I came here to get a cover up and it was the by far the best experience I've had at a tattoo shop. I was stupid some years ago and got my high school fling's name tattooed on my hip at a very sketchy tattoo shop in California. Luckily for me Val at Massive was able to do an amazing cover up and no one can even tell that I had anything else their. To anyone that wants a tattoo in Vegas go see Val and be sure to call her a few weeks in advance as her schedule does book up. They keep the show really clean and will even make certain arrangements to come in earlier or later if you want more privacy. I was in Vegas with a bunch of friends, all of us wanting to get tattoos. Well there's no end of options, but most of them seemed to fall into two categories. Either they just looked like total shit. Or they were inside casinos and super expensive. The first place we went to ended up being inside a casino, which we didn't realize when we looked em up on Yelp. They wanted $300 for what should have been in the $80 range. We blew outta there. Luckily we were referred to Massive Tattoo. It's not too far from the strip, but far enough to not be touristy at all. It's a totally legit and real shop. They took good care of us. Their tattoo artists were friendly and professional and did a good job. They were also cool about letting us drink beer while we waited for our buddies to get tattoos. There's also a Roberto's, awesome Mexican joint, right around the corner. When we got home, we realized that we'd lost a sweater. We called the shop to see if it was there, and it was, and they offered to mail it back to us in Brooklyn. And they did. Can't say enough good things about this shop. I was in town for a weekend in Vegas when it finally hit me: NOW is the time to get that tattoo I've been talking about. Searching through the endless reviews of tattoo shops on Yelp is somewhat confusing, especially when finding the right one. I can't express enough how much I lucked out when I found Massive Tattoo. To give you some background, this was my first tattoo EVER (and for many of your reading this, you're probably in the same situation). When I called, I set up some time with tattoo artist, Jeremy, for an appointment an hour later. Jeremy is so great to work with. He was friendly, patient, and gave me expert feedback on of some of the ideas I originally came up with. He walked me through the whole process and helped me make a confident decision in my artwork. In the end, we went with his own unique font style, which he drafted prior to the procedure. When it came down to the moment of truth, all of the tools were carefully prepared and sterilized. I felt safe being in such a clean environment and having a friendly artist talk me through the process. It turned out GREAT. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome and I will definitely return for another tattoo in the future. FYI, for all you UFC fans, this is where Gray Maynard got his tattoo. Great shop with excellent work! Not that crap that you see on the strip or the garage work that looks "unprofessional". Dave worked on my piece and even gave me a military discount. It was kinda funny because several people came in to see if he could "fix" some of the work that other shops did. Cool thing about it is, he worked with my changing schedule to finish my piece. There are many tattoo shops in Las Vegas, however this is on my list of top shops. I recently visited Josh Petty. He took the time prior to talk about what I wanted and placement. He offered suggestions to place it in an optimal position. Josh Petty is very easy to talk with and answered any questions. Very approachable which not all artists are this way. Josh Petty is well known for his black & grey work, along with his extensive portfolio of custom work. When I arrived for my appt he had everything set to go. After confirming the placement and getting my approval we started. Along the way we paused for short breaks and I was completely happy with the progress. After we finished I was 100% satisfied. I knew when I saw his work on some friends that I was going to be happy so I wasn't worried but I was sincerely amazed at how well my tattoo looked. I've been getting tattooed for about 16 yrs now so I'm not new to this. I look forward to going back to see him again for future work. As for the shop, Massive is a nice, clean shop. The artists there are friendly and all have a variety of great work. I live in LA and wanted to find a great female artist to do a very detailed piece. I could not find anyone in LA without a 6 month waiting list so I checked out artists in Vegas since I frequent there often. Yelp led me to Valerie Logue at Massive. I felt great about her right away. She did a lot of research to do this piece and it came out amazing. She is very fast yet precise. Not a sloppy line in sight. She absolutely rocks!
