I came in the morning with my dad to replace a car battery. Nobody was at the store so John checked the battery and told us it was dead and needed to be replaced, he said he couldn't do that for us because he didn't have enough people working so to come back at 1pm when more people were working. It seemed fair enough so I went and waited 3 hours to come back and get my battery replaced. I had to jump my car again to get back to the store at 1 and have my friend follow me for the second time on my only day off and wouldn't you know it they tell me that the battery can't be replaced at the store. After telling me to come in 3 hours later I'm sitting at the store with a dead car and John told me to come at 1 for a replacement that supposedly they can't even do. So I called the store after I was finally able to make it home to ask him if the store manager was on staff so that I could speak with them. John tells me that the manager won't be back until Tuesday and then proceeded to hang up on me. A lot of how I was feeling could have been helped with some kindness. Especially with the massive inconvenience that could have been avoided if he would have just looked my car part up or done any of his job that I'm sure he is triained to do. The way that John dismissed me and spoke to me on the phone before hanging up is absolutely unacceptable on an level. If you guys have audio in the store or recorded phone conversations I beg if anyone cares about how people are being treated at this store to listen for yourself.

A basic diagnostic scan can often be performed at many auto parts stores at no charge, and replacing the cabin air filter on a Ford Transit van is an extremely simple procedure located directly behind the glove box. The Transit does not come with a factory-installed filter, and installation requires only dropping the glove box, removing the housing cover, and inserting the filter -- a task that takes only minutes. The pricing became even more excessive when he was quoted over $725 for front brake work, plus an additional $285 to bleed the brake lines -- a procedure commonly performed as part of brake service. He was also quoted approximately $1,000 for an oxygen sensor replacement, which is grossly inflated for both the part and labor involved. This veteran was clearly taken advantage of through excessive pricing and poor customer treatment. I was able to source the rotors, brake pads, and oxygen sensor online for a total delivered cost of $259, including tax and shipping. I then referred him to a reputable mechanic who completed the installation of the rotors, pads, and oxygen sensor for $300 total. The contrast in pricing speaks for itself. Charging inflated prices to a retired Army veteran for relatively routine automotive work is unacceptable. The pricing practices and lack of integrity displayed in this situation are deeply concerning and reflect extremely poorly on the business.
