Josh is the type of mechanic you hear horror stories about. I have truly never dealt with anyone with less integrity or concern regarding the veracity of his word. I would recommend written guarantees as far as what any deposit is intended or he will use it as he sees fit while you wait. Any questions regarding finances will immediately provoke a personal or irrational response to change the subject. He has more excuses than former-employees, which is impressive as I can think of well over a dozen in the months of frustration I had my vehicle there. After the 10 months and close to $20,000 I spent between him and parts, I had to have it towed to someone that will actually work on it and knows what they are doing to put it back together. He damaged a brand new fender November 10th and will still tell you he plans to get it fixed. How nice of him to make things right at his convenience. I could write a book about how badly this experience has gone. This business is open and doing AMAZING work! I only get 1 day off a week. Josh got me in, found the oil leak, repaired the oil leak, changed my oil, flushed my coolant system, and got me back on the road in less than a day. And the price was BEYOND reasonable! Hundreds less than what I was expecting to pay. Now, if you want an overpriced mechanic that takes too long and butters you up with lattes and your favorite magazine, this is NOT the place for you. On May 27th 2026, I had brought my Toyota Tacoma 2003 because I heard like a rattling noise and I thought it was my muffler. Josh Elliott told me it wasn't the muffler that it was the drive shaft u-joint. After he told me that I said please do not do any work on my vehicle until I got an estimate on the cost. I did not get an estimate or written contract stating for him to do the work nor did I sign any documentation for him to do to work. He took my car into the shop cut my muffler in half he told me it wasn't the mother why would he cut my muffler in half? Then he took the drive shaft you join off and he replaced it with the new one and broke the new one and he said I had to leave my vehicle with him. I told him I'm not leaving my vehicle there I just want a diagnosis. And also I told him I don't want you to work on my car. I called the horry county police officer in South Carolina and reported it the dispatch lady told me not to get into a confrontation because Josh Elliott was using profanity on me trying to provoke me into a fight so he could steal my vehicle. You wouldn't believe all the names he had called me. This guy is unprofessional and incompetent and he is a scammer he will scam you out of all your money and your vehicle. Once the tow man came and towed my car out of there I called the horry county police because they officer that I dispatched he was in Myrtle Beach and the tow truck came first before him. When I got home I called horry county Police demand came the policeman came to the house and interviewed me I gave him my statement. Well I was giving my statement to the police office horry county Josh Elliott called me on the phone and the officer heard partial of the conversation not the threat I know where you live. On June 1st I wrote my statement and took it to horry county department to file my complaint against this incompetent mechanic is name is Josh Elliott. Horry county police officer told me that it would be documented they wouldn't stamp my copy for proof cuz they say they don't stamp copies. If I was able to give minus 1 I would. This guy is the worst mechanic of Horry County. He claimed he worked on a truck and charged $600. for doing nothing. He even stated he couldnt diagnose the issue without a certain tool but when I realized he was not capable of preforming the job he said he could do I pulled my truck! read more

If stars could be zero that's how I would rate them.Owner very dishonest.Dropped car off in March for transmission rebuild,told would send out locally (never did,casing bolts never touched),tried after stalling me for 5 months to buy a new one.In the process he lost catalytic converters that he pulled and gave me a battery(not the one that was mine)that was completely dead.Also,disputed all facts I mentioned and insinuated that the new transmission place stole parts,which he said were in vehicle. When I had vehicle towed from there only part was exhaust pipe and dead battery.If you value your ride Beware of this shop which lacks in every department with no integrity.
