This noodle shop chain was recommended by a friend so we had to try it... It's a good no-frills stop if you're in the mood for dumplings and noodles. We tried the pork soup dumplings and the steamed roast pork dumplings (chashu bao)--both were very tasty. Dine-in seating is ok, a bit limited but it's a food court... I didn't like that the dumplings were served in to-go containers (even for dine-in) and the prices seemed a bit high ($8 for 2 steam roast pork dumplings and $9 for 6 pork soup dumplings) but we were hungry, and they seemed worth it. Service wasn't outstanding (and not even welcoming) but it wasn't terrible... Next time we find another Master Noodle I will definitely try the noodles! Ramen stir fry was surprisingly bland and full of onions. The wontons and dumplings were good, and the katsu was decent. I went at dinner time on a Thursday night and it was empty - but I did note that other ramen/noodle places were quite busy. I'll try again maybe they had an off night? read more

This will be a bare bones service experience. You order at a digital kiosk and get a receipt with an order number. Once done, the cashier/food prep person will call out your number. Very much a food court vibe. I ordered the Shanxi Noodles. Very delicious, sweeter than I thought. Only complaint is they used different noodles for the dish than the Midway location. The noodles are supposed to be thick but instead I got ramen looking noodles. It was still delicious, but a different experience as I was expecting traditional Shanxi noodles. Would still recommend for noodle lovers. read more

Service is exceptionally fast at getting your order out and ordering is a breeze at either of the two kiosks at the cash register or out front! I also like that the dining area is nicely insulated from the hallway so it offers a nice element of seclusion from the noise to allow you to catch a break. I ordered the Sichuan cold chicken noodles and they were alright--I wish it was more flavorful, but honestly because it was more bland I didn't have an upset stomach afterwards from any of the spices. They also have a dim sum menu which I haven't tried yet but would be interested to see how they turn out. Of course while you're here, might as well go explore the mall and all it has to offer! read more

My husband and I wrapped up our day at the Mall of America with dinner at Master Noodle. The restaurant is part of the food court on the third floor of the mall. We had a pork noodle bowl and a beef noodle bowl. Our food came out really fast. Once it cooled down, the food tasted really fresh and authentic. This is a great place for noodles and Asian cuisine. I highly recommend Master Noodle! read more

I try to avoid the Mall of America but today we had visitors from out of town who wanted to go so off we went. When lunchtime rolled around we headed for the "food court" which has a huge number of vendors - what was termed in one of my math courses " a countable infinity". I am always in the mood for noodles particularly of the Asian persuasion so the four of us ordered 3 bowls of ramen, and two orders of dumplings, an order of bean curd bao, and an order ok sesame balls. All very good. Maybe not up to some place like Ramen Kazama but still very good. It was particularly nice to find sesame balls - my wife's favorite. The menu is huge so if you like Asian style noodle dishes you should be able to find something that appeals however I did not see pho or any other SE Asian food. Service seems designed to minimize human interaction. One orders and pays at a digital kiosk. Then picks up one's order and proceeds to the food court to consume it. Not a 3 star Michelin experience but good enough. I would not drive to the MOA to eat here but it was excellent for mall food. read more

I saw a lot of good reviews of Master Noodle here so I figured I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, the only thing mastered here was disappointment. I came here hungry and hopeful but I left confused and questioning my life choices. The Taiwanese beef brisket noodle soup that I ordered wasn't even close to the real thing. The noodles were suspiciously spaghetti-like. The beef? It was tough and dry (which is kind of hard to do considering you're drowning it in soup). It gave my jaw a good workout. I needed a quick takeout dinner at the mall and go back to my hotel room. I had the stirred fried noodle wirh beef. The order came out quickly and definitely fresh. The seasoning was great too but it was way too much sauce for me. The noodles were drenched and swimming in the sauce, which unfortunately is the common case for a Chinese place in US. The portion was good for the price and I would definitely come back again for their dumplings....maybe noodle too but will ask for less sauce. read more

Food was good and service was adequate. Fast food setting with sit down quality food. My issue was that they had a big sign offering 20% off rice and noodle dishes, "ask before ordering." Ask? Are you offering a discount or not? In the confusion of three of us asking questions about menu items and making selections, we ordered, paid and did not get a discount. Bad customer experience. Either offer a discount or don't, but don't make it the customer's job to manage your discount policies. read more

Certainly a place for a quick bite and if you're craving for awesome noodles! They also have rice dishes and a bunch of appetizers that we just finally went through! We particularly like the scallion pancakes and the spicy Sichuan Wonton in Chili Oil! Yum! Fast service and casual. It does get busy during peak hours so just be patient, they truly hustle to get your food to you. Worth a try in Edina, especially before you go grocery shopping at the nearby Whole Foods or bargain hunting at Home Goods. read more

Tried the MOA location and was pleased to see them there. Small setup with only a handful of small tables and a small counter for dining in. The food is tasty. The wontons are really good, legit! The noodles taste homemade (I think they are) and in a tasty sauce...not too salty. Fried rice is surprisingly pleasant and made with the smaller, Japanese looking rice. Service is only to place your order. You are responsible for clearing your table if you're lucky enough to get one. Portions aren't large like at Americanized Chinese restaurants so don't come here for large portions. read more

So happy to see that the MOA finally has a Master Noodle! This is a super authentic Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant, and pretty much everything on their menu is great. I definitely recommend the garlic noodles (can be ordered with many meats, but I like shrimp), the "fungus" - chewy and spicy black mushrooms, the "burrito," which is a Taiwanese style pancake and hoisin appetizer, the wonton in chili oil, and the dan dan noodles, but again everything is amazing. Service was fast the one time I ate here, and there's some seating in and near the restaurant, but you can also take your meal to the food court seating. Takeout is also available! This is definitely one of my new go-to spots to eat at the MOA! read more

I came here for the "Beef Burritos" and they did not disappoint. I loved the texture and the flavors. It was simple but tasty. The rest of the items were not the same quality. I may be biased because I've had great Korean scallion pancakes and these were paper thin and I didn't taste scallion at all. I loved the dipping sauce though so they were easy to devour. The Steamed dumplings were ok but not worth coming back for. The wontons although looked beautiful they lacked flavor. It literally tasted like plain cream cheese. I don't think they add any additional flavor or sweetness to the cream cheese. It just tasted really bland compared to every other cream cheese wonton I've ever tasted. We also ordered the spring rolls which sadly no one ate after trying 1 bite. They were very bland and the veggies inside were mushy/sogggy. Dipping sauce couldn't even save these. We did not try their dish they're known for "noodles." This review is solely on appetizers. read more

I've stopped by 3 - 4 times and am continually surprised by the quality of the food. Had the beef brisket noodle soup and pan fried pork bun and the quality is not very different from an alley in Taipei. (I'm a native Taiwanese.) In fact, these two items may be the best available to a local without involving a boarding pass. The soup was absolutely correct in flavor and the noodles were hand pulled. The dough on the pork bun was freshly made. Surprisingly, the offering in their Edina store is not nearly this good. That chef is heavy handed with the MSG while this chef doesn't use any at all. It's an amazing offering among all the plastic food in the big Mall. read more

Really good customer service but the food was mediocre for quick bites. Tried the pork soup dumplings, pan fried pork dumplings, pork buns, house fried rice, shrimp dumplings, and shrimp shu mai. Each dish was a bit plain and packing really low amounts of meat. Disappointed in the pork buns and pan fried pork buns. Same meat and one bun order was just pan fried. The pork dumplings was undercooked since the wrapper was hard, the shrimp dumplings were ok, and the shrimp shumai was mediocre at best. The house fried rice was decent but needed more seasoning. Good is consistently good and hits all the marks. Noodles always have the right amount of chew, whether that is the shaved noodles or the hand pulled noodles. Staff is flexible to change your meat preferences! read more
