We had an idea on what we could do and got quotes with that in mind. We got several quotes regarding what we wanted to do (basically lots of concrete) prior to Leo coming, but once he did he suggested a better solution than the one my husband and I proposed! Other companies were professional with great quotes, but I like that Leo thought outside of the box and gave a great solution that actually was cheaper and less work. He was very professional with great communication. Things were delayed due to rain outs on another job of his, and the plan changed as we had another contractor come that was originally scheduled after him. It actually changed the scope of work slightly because, we wanted the drainage to work on tandem with new downspouts and where the spouts were placed wasn't where we thought they'd be! Leo was great and flexible, he even explained why the rain gutters guys suggestion wouldn't work with our property, when the worker suggested something else. He also worked around the changed downspout area, which I should've let them know beforehand, but slipped my mind till an hour in. Thankfully, Leo came up with a great idea again and worked around it. His crew was super fast and the job was done within a day. I'd totally recommend them to anyone.

From the beginning, Leo always showed up when he said he would. First, to check the site and provide an estimate. Then second, to perform the demolition. They worked efficiently and finished the job earlier than expected. When I went in to inspect the demolition, I was pleased to see how neatly they did the job. They were careful not to damage the abutting walls and cleanly disconnected the plumbing. This will make it easier when the remodeling takes place. Overall, for the amount of work they did, manpower used and time it took, the price was right. Leo also gave me some suggestions on repairs around the house that were very helpful.

I hired a contractor in April 2025 to put a concrete stamp on the walkway leading to my house. The…read morejob also included staining and sealing it. The stamp looks awesome, but unfortunately the person the contractor sub-contracted the staining and sealing portion of the project to became unavailable, so the contractor and I mutually agreed I would get someone else to finish the job. I re-advertised what I needed on Yelp, and that is when I unfortunately hired Nohealani Masonry Contractor in early May. I provided the owner with a picture of what we were looking for, and he worked diligently to get as close to the picture as possible, and although his finished product looked nothing like the picture, we said we liked his work, and we gave him the approval to seal it, and that is when the nightmare began. Just prior to sealing, he started showing up around 6:00 pm (if he showed up at all), so by the time he started applying the sealant on May 16, 2025 it was getting dark, so he applied the sealant in about 5 - 10 minutes (if that) and told me to give it a couple of days to dry. I attempted to pay him the balance with a cashier's check on that day, but he did not want to take it, and he asked for cash instead, so on May 17, 2025 I paid him the balance (in cash at his request). About two days later, I looked at the project (pictures attached) and there were all kinds of white patches and white specs on two thirds of the project, and it looks awful. When I paid him the balance, the contractor promised me he would promptly fix any issues regarding the project as soon as he was notified. After I noticed all the specs and splotches, I began calling and texting the contractor on May 19, 2025, and I am still waiting for him to honor his word more than two months later. Each time he said he was coming to fix the issues to complete the project, he did not show up and did not even bother to contact me to let me know he was not going to show up, and when I was able to get in touch with him, he gave me excuse after excuse as to why he did not show up. The last time I talked to him was July 5, 2025 (because he promised to come, and once again, he did not). I have had it with this "contractor", and I would never hire him again for anything. If you want someone to do a rush job, and then abandon you after he is paid (even when additional work needs to be done to complete the project), someone who never keeps their word, and someone you have to continually chase to finish the job he they were paid to do, this contractor may be right for you. But if you want a contractor that is reliable and treats all their jobs like a priority (big or small), I highly recommend you look elsewhere and do not hire this "contractor".

My Wife and I wanted to completely redo our front and backyard but we weren't completely sure what…read morewe exactly wanted to do. We asked Jeff from JBL to come and give us a quote. He was able to brainstorm with us to help us imagine a completely new yard. He gave us ideas that we would either agree or disagree with. Once we had a general idea, Jeff was able to create a digital rendering of both our front and backyard so we were actually able to see his vision and know what we could expect the finished product to look like. For the early stages of the project Angel was the primary foreman of the job. Angel was very friendly and respectful. He would give us updates on what they would be doing for the next couple of days, or if they wouldn't be coming due to weather conditions. As a client this was great because we never had to wonder whether the contractors were coming or not. Our Project consisted of removing existing cement pavers and vegetation. And installation of new turf, irrigation system, and vinyl fence. JBL took care of hauling away all the old materials and bringing all the new materials/plants for our project. Jeff was more than fair to us and he worked with us to make sure we were satisfied with how it turned out. Our home looks completely transformed now, and our dogs finally have a yard that they can play in. If you need trustworthy, reliable, and friendly landscapers I highly recommend giving Jeff a call.

Wanted to improve drainage in the backyard to prevent heavy rain ponding along back patio. The…read moreplan was to replace our existing drainage with a french drain system. Work was done in less than 2 weeks. It was muddy/dirty as they dug the trench for the drain while trying to avoid the existing sprinkler system in the yard. They connected existing backyard drains and some gutter downspouts where that made sense to the new drainage system. To complete the job, they repaired a few sprinkler heads and connections that were damaged and power washed sidewalks and driveway. They also saved the grass that was removed digging the trench and replaced them over the completed drain system.
