This is my boba spot in TO because correct me if I am wrong (and I hope I am because I'd love to try the other places), but this is the only place I know that offers blended red bean milk tea aka their red bean milk tea frappe. The Jasmine tea, taro milk tea frappe and summer passion tea are my other go-to. If it wasn't for inflation prices, I'd be here every other day. There's plenty of parking in the structure which is a short walk to the boba shop. The staff is patient and polite. Only inside seating is the bar stools but plenty of outside seating by the outdoor fireplace. The drinks are not too sweet, especially the teas. They make the teas fresh every time doing a pour over method which is so perfect! It's a nice little spot tucked away by the movie theaters in case you have time to wait. Wow, the Drinks here every time are always perfect. We have been here 3 times in the past couple weeks and they make really good drinks here. My favorite drink is the Jasmine Tea with Boba with extra sweetness. My wife got the Taro blended drink and that was really good. Although after I tried this place with my friends, it changed my whole experience. Now my boyfriend and I come to Matcha Boba at least once a week. I have seen some review saying that they take a long time to make but they are a small business, If you don't have the time in patience to wait for a quality drink that isn't made by premade mixture the go to teddy boba! Came back recently and it's under new ownership. The drink prices were the same or lower, more options, and a new and large variety of Japanese snacks. And the trendy fish cakes, the name of which escapes me. Now, I've been places where the low to midrange prices reflected the quality of the boba drinks, but not here. The little food rotunda area has a fire pit in the middle and plenty of tables for people to seat safely distance from each other. The workers seemed happy to be there and friendly to us. Price is comparable to other boba spots, about 4.75 for a regular cup and $5.25 for a large. If you want boba pearls an additional 50 cents. The drinks were ready in a jiffy (around 5-7 mins for three). The Thai tea was sweet but tasted good and the taro frappe was good, too. I am very disappointed in this place so far. The drinks are actually really good and one of my favorite did the House milk tea. However, 2 out of the 3 or 4 times that I have been there, they have run out of boba. Given, I did go at a later time but my question is why are they open until 9 if they don't have enough boba. Again, the tea itself is great which is why I continue to go back, but I hate being unsure whether or not they'll have boba. If you want to try this place out - go before 7 or 8 pm! In addition, the customer service I have experienced is TERRIBLE. They don't seem friendly and they even kicked my group out at 9:00 pm on the dot. Oh lord, where do I star horrible service & the drink aren't all that. I went in around 6pm with 1 family of 3 being before me. The guy did greet us I'll give them that. But we didn't get it until about 26Mins after. Updating my review because we gave it another try and had a better experience. This is the best (albeit only) boba place in the area, if you don't want to drive to the valley. But it's actually pretty solid. I also really appreciate their milk alternatives. The pistachio frappe still does it so good But my boyfriend ran out of boba half way through his large drink and he wanted to make sure I mentioned it. I hope they use a larger boba scoop for large drinks? The Thai tea was the girl working the registers favorite--a simple classic which you can't really mess up; it's delicious. Driving through town on our way south from Pismo we looked on Yelp to find a tea spot in the area. Matcha Boba had some pretty decent reviews, so we decided to give it a go. After driving around a shopping center for quite awhile and not able to find it, we pulled into a spot and did some more research. Even the map that we looked at of the center didn't truly illustrate how far back into the center this shop is. If you are wandering around shopping or catching a movie, the location is probably pretty good. But if you're hoping to make a quick drink stop, this is NOT the spot. They were busy, so that gave us reassurance that the quality was probably pretty good. The service was lacking, basically bland and unwelcoming. The fruit teas that we ordered were all decent, but nothing special. The boba was super bland. The owner definitely needs to take a trip to the San Gabriel Valley were there is a boba shop on every corner and learn what boba really should be. If you are in the center shopping and need some refreshment, this is a decent stop, but don't make the trip specifically for them. read more

I loved the taro boba, but the hibiscus strawberry was lacking a little flavor, the place was really small not much sitting and it's crowded at times but usually not too bad. The only thing is that they usually just have one person making the drinks so it can take a little long so if you're in a hurry and there's one or 2 people ahead of you be prepared to wait. The service was great they're super nice and patient and having a calming presence and they are able to help you with any questions. Will be coming back for more raro and trying others read more

Swap the fructose out for honey. Better for you and better flavor. If you hate overly sweet stuff like I do, you may wanna reduce the honey a tad, but even with the full amount it's not overly sweet, nor did i receive a sugar headache. ** ON THE STAFF: I asked a ton of questions that even the people who supply the tea this place serves probably wouldn't even think of; left, then returned a few minutes late to ask even MORE new questions before I ordered. They actually welcomed me back, offered to adjust the drink as they made it, communicating on ingredients and ratios step by step and were genuinely excited to hear how I liked it. My fiancé and I have made Matcha Boba our go-to spot after the gym about three times a week. The service is always quick and with a smile, while the shop itself is clean with a fun, well organized menu. They have everything you could want here! They offer milk teas of course, with a variety of flavours, as well as frappe blended drinks and even some specialty drinks as well. For example, they have a really crisp and light coconut frappe with açaí, blueberry, banana, and other açaí bowl-type toppings on it. One recently-added favourite of ours for the holidays is the Peppermint White Chocolate Frappe which comes decked out with peppermint bark, matcha sticks, whipped cream, coconut jelly, and a whole cookie straw with chocolate coating inside. They offer two sizes of their drinks (16oz/24oz) and both are at great price points compared to many other boba shops I've been to. What really separates this shops though is the quality of the recipes, syrups, and boba. The flavours are never too strong or too weak, and the sweetness is just right. The boba pearls are also made in house and are a total game changer (I never get boba in my drink elsewhere since it gets hard and sticky, but I always get it here because it's so soft and tasty.) The cherry on top is the wonderful people who run the shop. They're incredibly kind and love to tell us about their upcoming drink ideas. We even suggested a couple drinks to them, and they went and added them to their menu for everybody to enjoy! They listen to feedback and are constantly striving to improve the drinks.
