I have finally went to the Matcha Cafe and overall had a good experience! My friend and I are huge matcha lovers and the soft serves were strong in matcha flavor and the right amount of sweetness that doesn't overpower the flavor. Also the soft serve was not icy at all and perfectly creamy. The service was friendly and timely with getting through the line. The only thing I wished was that their seating area was open. The cafe is a cute and clean space but they had their chairs and tables stacked into each other and said to please not sit or move chairs. I love Matcha in this place is a great place to go to for Matcha. We walked in and there was a worker at the front if we had questions there was a menu on the side of the wall or a kiosk to look at all the different items. If you love matcha and hojicha, then Maiko is the best for you! Matcha is much easier to find nowadays but with hojicha it's still pretty limited. I can always count on this cafe to get my hojicha fix, which is roasted green tea and lower in caffeine. Maiko offers soft serves, parfaits, lattes and floats. Their main soft serve flavors are matcha and vanilla. They offer seasonal flavors like ube, jasmine and hojicha. Unsure of how often they get rotated so it's best to call ahead if see what flavors they're offering. You can really taste the matcha in their soft serve; it is strong AF. You can get the flavors swirled but only matcha and vanilla can be paired together. They do have the option to do half matcha and half another flavor stacked on top. I most recently tried their matcha and jasmine combo and it was very tea-y and flavorful. If you fancy jasmine tea, then their soft serve is a must-try! You can get it in a cup or cone, but the latter I highly recommend. It's a perfect way to finish your cool treat. When I'm not in a soft serve mood, I usually opt for their Hojicha frappalatte. It is finely iced, caramel-y, nutty with a splash of sweetness. It's perfect anytime of the year. This location is in a busy plaza so parking can fill up quickly. The shop is small, with a few benches and no available table. They have a cool mural on the side of the store and fun post-its that customers have written/doodled on. Upon entering, the space has a light and airy feel to it with the light wood and bench style sitting. There are no tables but you can sit down on one of the benches they have organized on the left side of the place. Matcha Vanilla Adzuki Sundae: A nice compromise between the soft serve and the maiko special. I thought the pairings of the red beans and mochi balls were a nice touch and complemented the soft serve well. I thought the taste and quality of the matcha was really good and would recommend. I definitely do recommend the matcha and vanilla soft serve, especially if you're the type of person who likes a little bit of contrast rather than fully just having the matcha flavor. 2.
