Flavor was good and they weren't rich/greasy. My favorite one ended up being the lavender one! the gummy bear on top was super cute and complimented the sweetness. Right when I entered the small location I noticed the Kings mochinut sign, so cute!! Parking is difficult, street parking but all the meters that had open spots did not work. We found one and tried quarters which turned it green but we didn't know how long it was for because all the screens on the meters don't show. The ones that did, there was a car already parked in it yet their light was red. We drove around and saw a meter guy. So with the green light we figured we would be quick in n out which would have happened if I just got donuts but I wanted to try the elote Korean corndog It was ok, something new to try at least. The chewy texture of mochi... the shape and sweetness of a donut...genius! I tried funnel cake, churro, cookies and cream, matcha, strawberry shortcake, and a purple one I can't remember. All FANTASTIC. The churro is a must. Also snagged a hot cheetos dog (mozzarella filled), which was basically like eating the biggest, crunchiest, and cheesiest mozz stick I've ever encountered. My sister door dashed some dessert for us. She talked about how great Mochi was. She was able to snag one of each at about 7 P.M. The doughnuts are medium sized , and look like little donut holes that are still donut shaped. My wife said they look like baby teethers , ha ha! They are perfect for sharing. Everyone took a little ball section and dug in. These are much different and in my opinion far superior to a regular donut. They are light, with a slightly chewier texture that kind of just appears halfway into your bite. They are not crazy oily , or buttery. They are not ridiculously sweet either. So let me start off by saying this location is located on a busy street so they do have parking garage across the train tracks (didn't see till we got there - LOL) or you can park around the corner and walk down the alley like we did. Either or, it was easy to get there no matter where we parked. Took my little cousin there and she LOVED it. It is a lot more small than the location in Pleasanton, but the same amount of love put into it. They don't have much options when it comes to the mochi-donuts, I would say they have 6-8 options at this location. I do like that they have buzzers when your order is ready cause you do have to wait outside for your order to be ready. Mochi donuts and K-Dogs I purchased a Korean corn dog during my visit... I saw this trending in Instagram and I must try. I thought I would have to drive to the Bay Area to try this the first time but lo and behold! Mochinut offers them! I chose the Potato Mozzarella corn dog. It's actually the Sweet Potato Half and Half. It's half 100% all-beef frank and half mozzarella inside. Sweet, sweet potato outside. Not your typical American corn dog. The difference in the K-Dog is the layer that covers the sausage. The dough is made separately and used to wrap the hotdog. The result is this huge corndog that looks like it's on steroids. After more than a couple of bites of the corn dog I finally got to the hotdog. LoL! It's good while eaten hot. It was definitely made to order. It's not my first time having mochi donuts. I stood behind a long line at a kiosk in Japantown in San Francisco while waiting to get my first bite of these chewy donuts shaped like a baby's teething ring. I love them. Crisp and chewy, light and fluffy and they come in array of different flavors. They look so cute and colorful in a box of dozen. And because of the way they are shaped (an iconic 8-ball ring style that looks like a baby's teething ring) you can easily pull apart a piece. So glad to see Mochinut make it to Sacramento. Mochi donuts - made with rice flour and have a dense chewy texture. The ones here are quite good and I loved the fruity Pebble one for a nice crunch and chewy contrasting textures. Korean corn dogs - here they offer hot dog or mozzarella cheese fillings, along with the classic potato batter but I chose to try the hot Cheeto one with mozzarella cheese and thought it was fantastic. The mochinut are great. There was no line when I visited and friendly staff. Parking might be the only issue but that's location specific.

I've never had a mochi donut before, but my mom makes an amazing mochi cake and this is very similar! The store is pretty small inside, and they're only allowing 2 parties in at a time. There are two spots in front of the store for 15 minute parking, but there is street parking everywhere and I was able to find a spot with no problem. The decor is super cute, and the cashier was friendly and helpful. I opted to get three donuts- cinnamon sugar, fruity pebbles, and chocolate. The inside of all of them are ube, so it's purple, but don't taste like ube.My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the fruity pebbles- the cereal on top was crunchy, which was a great contrast to the soft mochi interior. The flavors I got were all great though! I will need to come back to try the cheese dogs, because they look amazing. Korean hotdogs, I've never had one until now. It's like fair food on steroids. I got the potato half and half, think larger mozzarella stick with half a hot dog, covered in dough and fried, then covered in French fries, and then would you like to add sugar? Sure why not? I think they actually forgot to add the sugar for mine, but I did really enjoy it still with ketchup and mustard. Is it gourmet? No... but it's enjoyable in that bad for you way and at its soft opening price of $5, very affordable. Since it's the soft opening they had lines and it did not really move, I had 5 groups ahead of me, and two gave up, took about 35 min for me to get inside and order, another 10 min for food to come out. So definitely, not a quick stop right now. Because I waited so long I decided to get donuts too. I felt the need to make my long wait worthwhile, who knew when I would come back. I got the strawberry funnel, churro, and island flavor. By far island flavor was the best, the other two were fine, just a bit bland in comparison.
