Wanted to try a new boba spot so me and my kids decided to try this place. We are not a fan of it. The boba doesnt have the jelly texture im used to the boba is really runny all clumped at the bottom of the cup and not solid like im used to. My son got the tiramisu with boba and i got the creme brulee with boba and the type of lid it had we couldnt put a straw in it making it hard to get the boba. The rest of the drinks had the proper lid on for us to poke thru it with our straw but just didnt taste very good. It was really hot and humid feeling inside the establishment. I loved the decor. The music was loud. Not somewhere u want to go to talk or study in. Service was fast and friendly. My friend and I stopped by Rose Tea Lounge for a little catch-up session and decided to try their matcha drinks. My friend ordered the strawberry matcha while I went with the guava matcha, both easy on the sugar. At this point I feel like we're unofficial matcha critics because it's one of our favorite drinks to hunt down, and both were absolutely delicious. I especially loved that you could see the fruit in the drinks. My friend's strawberry matcha had beautiful macerated strawberries throughout, and my guava matcha was refreshing and not overly sweet. Both felt fresh and well balanced, which isn't always easy to find. The vibe inside is really lovely and makes for a great place to sit and chat. Unfortunately, the tables were a bit of a challenge. The first one we sat at was extremely uneven, so we moved to another table only to discover it had the same issue. Not a deal breaker, but definitely noticeable. I also noticed the space was pretty dusty, and it didn't seem like the air conditioning was working very well. Sacramento summers are no joke, and we were both feeling the heat. Let's just say our moisture-wicking clothes were working overtime. Even with those little hiccups, the drinks were the star of the show and I'd happily come back for another one. I ordered the Matcha Mango Latte and it was sweet and refreshing. The matcha was made fresh. The employees use a scale to accurately measure the amount of matcha for the drinks. This method of meticulous drink preparation was evident in the strong matcha flavor that was not powdery or overly bitter. There wasn't a line per say when we arrived, but everything had to be done from one Kiosk. And there was a group of high-school kids making a large ordered, so it actually took a while to get to our order. A 2nd Kiosk or a staff member who could also take orders, would be a great idea. To minimize lines and waiting whole everyone waits at a single Kiosk. Because by the time we order, there was a line to the door of people waiting. We ordered the following: Brown Sugar Milk Tea w/Boba Jasmine Milk Tea w/Boba 50/50 Korean Corndog (Beef & Cheese) I ordered the Brown sugar boba fri k which was good, and my girlfriend ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea and the 50/50 Korean corndog. The matcha flavor was smooth and earthy without being too sweet, and the creamy layers blended perfectly with the ice. You can tell they use good quality matcha! it tasted fresh and not overly sugary like some places. The brown sugar boba at the bottom was soft, chewy, and added just the right amount of sweetness to balance everything out. I came here on a Sunday with friends to get some work and studying done. It's probably not the best place to do work/study since they play loud music (but it is good music that definitely sets the vibe!) but if you wear noise cancelling headphones, it might help! Despite the noise, there's plenty of seating to do remote work and the interior is very aesthetic and nice for it to be a cute cafe to work at. However even with the amount of seating, they were extremely busy with the Rang Coffee pop-up when my friends and I were there so all the seats and tables were taken. So definitely go early if you want to be able to have a table and chair if you plan to sticking around to get some work done, or you might get lucky and get there at a time when it's not as busy! It think it's nice how Rose Tea Lounge lets Rang Coffee do their matcha pop-up here. Although I ordered my matcha drink from the Rang pop-up, it ended at 3pm so after that it turns back to the Rose Tea Lounge menu. I wanted to order some finger foods to take home for my husband and I and ended up ordering Popcorn Chicken for him and Fried Tofu for me. Both were cooked to both of our likings! Both the Popcorn Chicken and Fried Tofu were well-seasoned and they also adjust the spice levels based on how spicy you want. I also liked the amount of Popcorn Chicken and Fried Tofu they put in the box because it was the perfect amount to be able to eat it all in one sitting if you have an appetite! The best boba spot in Sacramento, and they open late! You cannot go wrong with any of their drinks. This time, I got their Milo drink and I'm glad I did. It is more of a dessert and a lot heavier than other drinks. The regular sweetness is perfect in my opinion. If you get it less sweet, then it becomes a bit bitter. I also like the flan that comes with it a lot. Anywhere I go, if there is fish balls, I will get it. I got it extra seasoned with sweet chili sauce and it was so delicious. I have been to Rose Tea Lounge a couple of times now and it never disappoints. You walk in, place your order on the screen, and get a text when it is ready. There is not much direct interaction with staff, but the process is easy and efficient. Even when they are busy, the wait has never been too crazy. The space is modern, cute, and full of photo ops with plenty of seating to work, hang out, or play a board game with friends. Everything is reasonably priced. I have yet to try their food, but their drinks are always delicious. I also love that they now have the viral fruit ice creams. My daughter was obsessed! At night, it's such a vibe! Tried Rose Tea Lounge in Elk Grove and the drinks were definitely the highlight. The Strawberry Cloud was really good and the Tiramisu Milk Tea was also solid with great flavor. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the quality of the drinks. The fried tofu and Taiwanese popcorn chicken were both extremely greasy. The popcorn chicken in particular had a rubbery, gummy texture and barely any breading, which made it hard to enjoy. We've gone through multiple hot summers now without a fully functioning main unit. While the portable cooling fans are a thoughtful temporary measure, they just aren't enough to cool down the entire space during peak summer heat. Fixing the central AC would make a massive difference in customer comfort and satisfaction. The quality of the drinks are usually top teir w the occasional mistake but the employees are generally nice and fix the mistake without issues. The boba itself is really soft, and personally I enjoy a bit of a chew to my boba, but it is still a good addition to the drinks. The snacks are fried nicely, in particular I enjoyed the korean corndogs, rip corndog . The store is usually pretty busy when I come in and seating is pretty limited when it's packed, but ordering ahead saves a lot of time, or even when ordering in store there are 2 kiosks, so that speeds up the process a bit. Came here for the first time with my mom we were in the area and just wanted something to drink We were incredibly impressed. The moment we stepped in. It was as if we were in a nightclub. The lights are colorful. The decoration is magnificent. It is so beautiful in there. As you walk and you find velvet plush, super comfortable seating, I was impressed. I could've fallen asleep on those chairs. The process is fully automated you put in your order and then a text is sent to you once it is done so I did love that. It was low pressure and super comforting. Service was really quick. Parking is kind of a pain but not their fault. One inside though the decor is gorgeous! Nice amount of seating, it's dark with bright elements which makes it feel like a real lounge. The music is loud so I wouldn't study there but would be fine to catch up with friends. There are two big tablets to order off of. They were kind of hard to see because a glare. They send you a text when your order is ready. Food and drink came out quick. And they were nice during the pick up process. The lumpia was yummy!! I got sweet and sour sauce on the side which was perfect combo. I ordered the blended matcha marble 50% sweetness which was nice that it can be adjusted. It was ok, a lot more ice than creamy and that made it kind of hard to drink. But once it melted a bit the flavor was good. I wouldn't order it again but I would come back to try their coffee drinks. I came here on a busy night, and was not expecting to wait around 20 minutes (if I remember correctly) for one drink, just for them to come out and tell me they ran out of the drink I wanted so I had the option to switch it to whatever was available. I opted for a regular jasmine milk tea, which was not a big fan of, but was more so disappointed because I waited for so long just to not get the drink I originally wanted. This is the only boba shop we keep coming back to in the Sacramento/Elk Grove area. Most of their drinks are above average, and our go-to orders are the Matcha Marble, Tropical Paradise, and Strawberries Heaven--easy 5/5 for all three. What really keeps us loyal is that there's always something everyone in our group (family and friends) will enjoy, which isn't easy to find around Sacramento/Elk Grove. You order on a kiosk and then wait for your drinks to be ready. We got a pinkish, purple Labubu jelly that we placed on top of our Vietnamese coffee, and slowly watched it sink. It was pretty cute. Made a stop here on a hot day for a weekend visit in the area! Had a recommendation from a family friend. When we first went inside, it felt like a club LOL. It felt like I was at Tisane. One of my complaints was the inside was SO HOT. And everyone was sweating including me. And then to add on to that, our 3 drinks took 26 minutes to make. I felt bad for everyone waiting and honestly the employees too. Maybe they were short-staffed because it was the weekend and the AC was broken but it was just unfortunate on the day I came. The order: I got the Thai tornado and honey gyokuro milk tea. Both I enjoyed very much. The Thai tornado was my fav out of the two. It was so fluffy and prefect amount of sweetness.
