Super friendly service and reasonably priced drinks. Love how they're open later. Had the iced Mofawar and you can choose the sweetness. The ambiance is more for hanging out than for working, although they do have outlets. Clean restroom. Hope to try some of their sweets!
Super cute cafe downtown off K Street! My friend and I recently came to try this place after we saw it in a Coffee Crawl. After driving by so many times I glad to have tried it. The inside is much bigger than expected, lots of seating, and delicious drinks and pastries. The inside is bright, spacious, they have outlets if you wanted to bring a laptop to do work. The worker was nice and answered questions we had about the drinks. I ordered the Yemeni latte which has cinnamon and cardamon in it. The drink was tasty without being overly sweet, I do wish the coffee flavor was a bit stronger. I also ordered the saffron milk cake which reminded me of a tres leches cake. I really loved the milk cake, very sweet but great with their coffee. My friend ordered the rose milk cake and it was also delicious. I would definitely come back!
I've passed by here many times since I work close by. I did go in a few times to check it out and because I was with people who wanted to hang out here. When they first opened, I was skeptical since this area is okay. It can be hit or miss and not the best crowd at times. The location has a a few shops around it that are closed also, including this one. I most recently went here for a group outting with coworkers. We all got drinks and everyone's drink looks good. Since it took a while to get our drinks, it looks like everything is made fresh to order, which is not bad unless you're in a hurry. I had the mango refresher and it was good. I've also had the pastries from here and they are great as well. The dining area has a lot of room and tables, and I see a lot of people working in here on their laptops or having "meetings" here for work. Customer service is great. They are very nice and were patient with my group since there was 8 of us on one order. I see the pastries here all the time and want to try them. The savory options look great. I'll have to try the other pastries when I can.
Saw Sana'a Cafe on my first day in town and unfortunately didn't make it over until my last day visiting Sacramento, which makes me really sad because I would've loved to return before leaving town! The decor inside felt authentic and was beautiful; it really added to the character and charm of the cultural experience. Saher was fantastic! I have quite a few dietary preferences, which leads to a number of questions and requires a lot of patience, which Saher demonstrated flawlessly. He helped us navigate the menu to find the perfect fit. He truly made our experience memorable. Everything we tried was delicious and I'd happily order everything again.
Sana'a Cafe is in downtown Sacramento, CA. I popped on into Sana'a on a weekday for a coffee and something to nosh on. I've been to a Sana Cafe in San Rafael but the first time at this location. They are franchised, independently owned coffeehouses specializing in Yemeni coffee, pasties, and light bites. The staff were direct, cordial and efficient. I asked the cashier what was their best selling drink which he said "everything is good". I believed him. However he had no recommendations. Unsolicited, the other customers in line kindly gave me some. Nice. I choose the Sana'a latte with oat milk. It was creamy and infused with cinnamon, cardamom and ginger. Luved it. Delicious. Drinking this, put me in the zone. I also ordered a ground beef fatayer and baklava. The fatayer was a savory, handheld meat pie with a yeasty dough exterior. The meat was on the dry side but by golly it had flavor. Spiced up! Not hot heat level but packed with flavor. The baklava was a tiny teeny size which surprised me and left me wanting more because it was darn tasty . They also have dessert pastries which looked all so prettily yummy behind the glass counter. Most are made with milk of some sort though. For the lactose intolerant folks, I recommend bringing a lactaid pill and going for it. The interior decor is striking. Bold gold and black colored furniture and opulent chandelier lighting fixtures dominate the room. Fancy. I'm picking up regal, posh vibes. The design aesthetics are similar in all Sana's Cafe. Plus this location is open 6am-midnight everyday. Probably one of the only urban downtown coffee houses open that late for caffeinated night owls. The cafe is a few blocks down K street from DOCO. I don't know how it's like in this area after the sun sets. Just sayin.

We both loved our drinks and I could tell that the chai was very authentic. My coworker also said that the Yemeni Latte has plenty of caffeine to wake you up! Will definitely have to come back here again sometime. I heard their Honeycomb bread and Baklava pastries are really good so might order that next time.
The staff was so helpful answering our questions. They have a great variety of items here! I would love to come back and try more. We ordered the rose milk cake and Yemeni iced coffee with light sugar. We asked them for a less sweet dessert and their recommendation was spot on. Parking downtown can be a bit of a headache, but we lucked out with street parking and paid through the ParkMobile app (about $3.35 for an hour), so no complaints there. I didn't try the coffee, but honestly, the desserts completely stole the show and have been living rent-free in my head ever since. We stayed and enjoyed our treats inside the café, which has such a cozy, quaint atmosphere. There were even moments where we stopped talking just to fully savor each bite--that's how good the desserts were. Service was straightforward and friendly. It did feel a little slow at times since there was just one cashier and one barista handling everything, but it was understandable and didn't take away from the overall experience. The Turkish delight? Absolutely exquisite--good enough to consider selling out your family haha ("The Chronicles of Narnia" reference). The milk cakes were perfectly moist and spongy with just the right balance of sweetness, and the baklava somehow disappeared before I even realized it. I also ordered a dragonfruit drink that was super refreshing, but the desserts were definitely the main highlight. I've since moved out of state, so I won't be returning to this exact location, but lucky for me there's another Sana'a Cafe nearby that I'm already excited to visit!
Busy place on a warm Saturday afternoon strolling around the State Capitol. Clean place, middle eastern music, comfortable interior with tidy restrooms. We sampled the following. Pistachio iced latte, Pistachio Hot latte and a Chi iced tea with a double shot of expresso. All three were ready quickly and unique & deliciously strong. Extensive desert case with numerous Milk cake, pistachio cheese cake, velvet and honeycomb cake. Will return for the deserts.
I've been looking forward to trying the drinks here. Ordered the Adeni Chai (Yemeni black tea, cardamom, and cream), sweetened lightly. The Chai was very good. Spiced perfectly and not too sweet. I enjoyed the music and ambiance. Great service. They have deals, too. I look forward to coming back and trying other items.
This was my first visit, and I came with friends to try the Yemeni tea experience. Since we weren't sure what to order, we decided on the Mofawar. You can taste the roasted coffee, but it was just okay for my personal preference. I would have liked it to be a bit stronger. They also offer a variety of specialty Yemeni coffees and pastries, and I really enjoyed the honeycomb cake. If I come back, I'd probably try an individual coffee instead, like their pistachio latte.
So I'm lucky enough to have been to the Sanaa cafe in Hollywood as well as this location. Both were so good! After the sac state graduation, it was a short drive from the Golden 1 center to meet up with family for a celebratory coffee or latte. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. The location on Hollywood blew my mind I must say but this one was pretty good too. Parking was tricky, but we managed. Will be coming back when I'm in the downtown Sacramento area.

Has a lot of culture and it's a beautiful setting. I got a coffee and my boyfriend got a matcha but wow that's good as hell! Definitely coming here again and stopping by. I had such a wonderful experience at Sana Cafe! The atmosphere was warm, clean, and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax. The service was exceptional everyone was so kind, welcoming, and attentive. My order was made perfectly, and you could really tell they care about their customers. I visited Sana'a Cafe in Sacramento, CA [901 K St] on Friday, 03/27/26, around 12 PM. What stood out to me about this cafe was the gorgeous ambiance. There were a lot of gold accents and beautiful lighting, which absolutely added to the overall vibe of the interior. The entire environment was even calming, peaceful, and comfortable. I proceeded to order the Mango Passionfruit Refresher and a small Baklava. Oh my goodness! The drink was dynamite as well as the baklava being on point! Both items were just super tasty and exceeded expectations. This location is in the heart of downtown Sacramento. Even though the parking can get quite chaotic and busy, it was well worth the visit! A friend and I checked out this place on January 7th around lunch time. We had both seen this on our Instagram reels and through the Yelp Sacramento Instagram page and decided we needed to give it a try. When you walked in the cafe was not super busy but it did have a good amount of people. People were both outside and inside the cafe. As you walked in there was some nice music playing in the background. It was not too loud just enough volume to hear it while still being able to have a conversation with the person in front of you or maybe even a table over. The counter that had all the food and snacks and pastries was definitely the showstopper because everything just looks so vibrant and delicious. When we got to the register the person behind asked us to be at any questions especially since we had told her it was our first time there. She gave us a rundown of the most popular drinks and food based on what she told us we got the following: Yemeni latte, Pistachio Latte, meat and Chicken fatayer, beef sujuk, and rose water cake We really enjoyed the food items we got specifically the fatayers. They had such amazing spices. It was nothing but flavor bomb in your mouth. The beef sujuk was also delicious and I want to make sure this is clear it was amplified more with the sauce that it came with. Without the sauce it was still very good but it helped to enhance the flavors and give it a little bit of citrus goodness that it needed. Are two lattes were phenomenal both had the essence of the ingredients come through and nothing was fighting each other. I would hands down come back to try the other lattes that they have there. Also to finish with the rose water cake was phenomenal. It was not overly sweet or overpowered by the rose water. It was simply divine. If you're in the area please come check this place out cuz again we had nothing there that was not delicious. read more
Sana'a Cafe is located on the corner of 9th St. and K St. They offer specialty coffee drinks, chai tea, Middle Eastern savory bites, and sweet pastries/treats. The interior is beautifully decorated and there is plenty of seating. Staff are friendly. I really liked my Adeni Chai and Potatoe Pie. This Yemeni coffee shop stands out among the typical hipster, corporate, and modern elements of downtown Sac. It features a lavish interior that works well as a get-together. Not on the quiet side -- family and friends converse with each other, board games are out, and little kids will be little kids. The iced hibiscus tasted interesting with a sour taste more than sweet. I'd buy it again. The chicken fatayer, as excited as I was to try something new, tasted decent but not something I'd rave about. I enjoyed the overall ambiance over all else. Sana'a is a pleasant switch-up from what I expected out of a downtown cafe, and it epitomizes the diverse experiences that city centers have to offer. read more

I cane with a coworker and ordered a Yemeni coffee and a meat fatayer. The coffee was strong and had a good bit of cardamom in it, i loved it. The meat fatayer was flavorful and filling. This site was cozy and well decorated inside. Its a perfect spot to come for a couple hours to enjoy their coffee and pastries and talk with friends. The service was quick too. read more

Pistachio latte was good, 8.5/10 sweetness, was probably the favorite out of the other three drinks Strawberry matcha came out sour (don't know why, maybe because of the strawberry puree?) and I would highly recommend against ordering that variant in particular Got their signature Sana latte and I felt that it was INCREDIBLY sweet, so if you're a big sweet tooth you'll love this one. Personally, the honey and brew and oatmilk and other syrups they added were not for me. read more

Down town Sac. The area is a lil sketchy but we found parking since it was late afternoon. I love the fact that they are open till midnight on Saturday. My husband loves pistachio so we tried their pistachio latte and various pastries. The cafe is beautiful and peaceful. The staff warm and inviting. The coffee smells amazing as they make it on their beautiful espresso machine. Our fave hands down was the honey bread. So perfectly sweet and creamy. Honorable mentions the pistachio milk cake (a tres leche in green and pistachio flavors) as well as the rose milk cake. Super moist and saucy. We are hooked and will be back for more. This is a cafe worth visiting! It's very elegant and unlike any other cafe in Sacramento! The interior of the cafe has a chic ambiance with very comfortable seating all around. One part of the area has a comfortable couch with movable armrests that is pretty awesome. It's a really unique vibe worth checking out. The coffee was delicious. With unique flavors and seasonings, I was really blown away. The cafe features traditional Yemeni flavors so it definitely stands out from other places. The latte that I ordered had cardamom and cinnamon to kick it into high gear. My absolute favorite item from my visit was the pistachio milk cake. It's a very wet style cake with cream on the top. It really reminded me of tres leches style cakes. I had not seen this available anywhere and the cashier told me that it was a very popular item. I really enjoyed my experience at Sana'a Cafe and it is definitely worth a visit. read more

We stopped by Sana'a Café after an event late at night, and it was a great spot to wind down. The atmosphere was lively, and the baristas were really polite and helpful, which made the experience even better. We ordered the Biscoff Latte and the Yemeni Latte,both were really good and full of flavor. We were hoping to try the Honeybomb pastry, but unfortunately it was sold out by the time we got there. Overall, a great late-night spot with a fun vibe and solid drinks. Definitely want to come back earlier next time to try more from their menu! read more
Located in downtown Sacramento. Parking is all street. You're definitely paying for the ambiance because the store is very nicely decorated and great if you want to get away and study in a cafe. We got the pistachio Latte which was good. Their coffee is very strong so be mindful of that. Cakes are also good. I personally had the rose cake. Their items are very pricey but for a once in a while visit I wouldn't mind. We also got 2 wraps shawarma which was ok chicken and I'm not sure if it was a little cheese, and another chicken wrap which was sour maybe due to lemon and olive oil. Check them out. read more

Amid the hustle and bustle and interesting characters of K Street at night is an unsuspecting step into a late-night café serving Yemeni coffee and pastries. It truly felt like I was transported out of Sacramento. The inside is very clean and beautiful, and it would be a great place to study if I were still in school. The service was quick and friendly. Chosen as a post-dinner spot for dessert, their pastry case was full of sweet and savory options. I had to go with the baklava, which was delicious. I also tried the crème brûlée cheesecake, which was super rich and good, and the katayif (not sure if I spelled that right), which was unique, sweet, and nutty. Loved this place! There is plenty of seating with outlets if you want to do work. I would recommend going earlier because they seem to run out of their pastries and desserts throughout the day. Amazing Yemeni coffee. I came in here thinking I could get a snack and some coffee while I do some reading for work. That was not possible because they play loud music and so many people are there to mainly chat. That doesn't deter the fact that the coffee was really good! I've also had their adeni chai and this is probably the best chai I've had as compared to other Yemeni coffee shops. The desserts are also very good and have the right amount of sweetness with your drinks. The staff were very patient when I took forever deciding what I wanted. I would definitely come back here again with some friends but probably not to study haha. read more
I drove by this place the night before and knew I had to try it the next morning. I came here on a Friday morning about 30 minutes after they opened. Upon going inside the seating area is nice. They have a lot of comfy chairs and tables. After looking at the menu there so many options. I got the 12 ounce Sana'ani. On the menu it says 4.99 but on the receipt it came out to 5.19. I'm not tripping over 16 cents but they should update the menu with current prices. Even only if it's a few cents more. I also got the chicken burrito that came out to 8.99. I really wish all the food items had prices next to them. They have a variety of food items, sandwiches, and treats. Cheesecake, Baklava, to name a few. I got my coffee and it smelled really strong. It was different than the normal but I don't think it was for me. I was a little disappointed with my burrito. It had a decent taste but the inside was cold. Paying almost $9 for a small burrito with a cold inside didn't go as planned. If it had the price next to it I don't think I would have got it for that price. The place was super quiet inside. If that if your vibe and atmosphere for the morning this is your place. If not then I wouldn't come here. read more
I am a fan. I had a some time to kill, so I ended up here. I ordered a strawberry matcha which was pretty good. Next time I really want to try the Yemeni coffee. The seats are comfy and they have some cool music playing. Service is good, although it can be a bit slow when they get busy. Not complaining though. I also grabbed a chicken muskhan (It's kind of a large chicken taquito) on my way out. Pretty tasty! Will be back. read more

i've been interning in downtown sac this summer and this cafe has become my go to! the pistachio latte is amazing it's my favorite and i would highly recommend trying that one. they're really nice here too and the cafe is very nice on the inside it has a great ambiance, it's the best place to have a nice afternoon coffee and chill. read more
I came on a Wednesday afternoon around 2 PM by myself to get a drink and a bite to eat. I got the Sanaa latte and the honeycomb. I would very much recommend the honeycomb, it has cheese like a halloumi or feta type, and honey on top served warm. Definitely not something you can hold in your hand and eat, best with a knife and fork. Drink was good but a little too much cinnamon for my taste. They have games to play. I believe they also have Wi-Fi. read more
