I am a huge fan of reading books…read more I listen to audiobooks when I work out in the gym or go for my daily walks instead of listening to music; however, I truly appreciate the feel of holding a book in my hands and turning page by page to really get into what I am reading. This is the reason I enjoy visiting this bookstore. I can be selective in whichever category I wish to purchase and read at the moment. I also have a paid membership to their discount program, which offers various benefits, including discounts on my purchases. This store is always fully stocked and well-maintained, and its employees are friendly and ready to assist customers with whatever they need. The selection of books and topics to read is endless, and they even offer a clearance and discounted section at the rear of the store. As for me, I have, and will forever, love being around books, which is why I will remain a loyal customer.

It's been years since I've stepped foot in this particular B&N location, but I found myself here…read morewhile staying with family in the area over the holidays. The good: the store filled an order I'd placed through the app quickly; the bad: half the order wasn't able to be completed because it wasn't actually in stock. I don't know if this was an app error or store error, but it was a bit of a bummer and now I'll have to visit another location for that item. My favorite section to visit as a crafter is Arts & Hobbies, which is on the store's left close to the stationery and gifts area. The cafe is to the right of the entrance. Fiction, sci-fi, and fantasy are toward the middle, while music and collectibles are located toward the back. Something to keep in mind, unlike the Long Beach and Del Amo/Torrance locations, Glendora doesn't have as substantial a bargain book and DIY kit section, which I like to frequent for my nieces. However, the kids' section is pretty sizable and can be found in the back left. This B&N is in the same plaza as Best Buy, PetSmart, and AMC theaters, so it can get busy although there is plentiful parking. I haven't tried the cafe at this particular location - maybe next time!

This store is a little hidden gem in the corner of the San Gabriel valley…read more I needed invitations to an upcoming summer event, and something a little bit snazier and with a personal touch than what you buy at the greeting card stores, but not as ridiculously expensive. (My parents were getting remarried for their anniversary). Thanks to the Yelp reviews I drove to this small store, and was surprised by the quality and atmosphere of Periwinkle. * This place was the best of all worlds for me *: - A truly new shopping discovery, as I do not buy a lot of paper products - Hints of quality vintage material, which I am appreciating as I get older - That sense that I am getting a great deal on stuff that would normally be a LOT more expensive elsewhere. (let me translate that into shopping-speak: Prices are SALE PRICES elsewhere!!!!) - Great personal service by the staff, who were eager to help me make style and color decisions without pushing or up-selling anything my way - Bringing back that childhood joy of watching my own product come together before my eyes, done by my own hands. Like crafts shop, but at an adult, professional level - And did I mention the staff was helpful? I felt more like I was at a friend's house working on a project than at some store with a body minding the counter waiting for the clock to hit quitting time. I kid you not that I felt giddy in the store, and wanted to stay long after closing time to come up with different and new ideas of things to create and add to my parents wedding (and my own home.) When I got my final bill for my sale, I could not believe how much I had saved. It is a bit of a drive, but well worth it. Needless to say my family has been surprised by the quality of the invites, and I am very pleased with my experience. I am looking for any excuse just to go back there and work on something again.

I'm always in need of gift wrapping services and this is my go to spot. Her store is super cute too - tons of unique affordable trinkets and she even hosts fun weekend events. Scholastics was the leading authority when it came to giving children access to a cheap book. In the last year the moral has been low and I had to drop them. The woman that ran the warehouse I think her name was "Rachel" gave her very BEST for years! Clearly it showed that her heart was in the right place. That day came to a dead end when she "Quite!" The day she took off crying! That day was probably the saddest day ever for Scholastic's in Anaheim CA. Another woman behind the scenes as known as "Dorothy" gives nothing but her blood and soul to deliver only the best. I am compelled to talk about all these fine girls behind the scenes. That it is clear that not one is appreciated. Things have change for the worst in Anaheim CA warehouse. To the authorities of Scholastics Bookfair "You are doing a good job in destroying" this warehouse location. Basically you cut off the wings of your staff and blind folded their eyes. Now! If you can drive to the Anaheim warehouse to access books sales that is as fantastic as it realistically will get. Good luck!
