This is such a cool spot especially if you are looking for band tees/records. The shop is filled wall to wall with records/posters/merchandise. I love that they had the shirts wrapped up like records that was pretty cool! I found this place on Yelp and the employee there was so nice and took his time to tell us his background and he truly loves being here which makes it nice for the customer experience! 10/10 recommend

    So much commotion.

The spitting image of an edgy record store. Dust off the denim jacket with the safety pin patchwork before crossing the threshold of this record store and into the CHAOS. They've got vinyl, posters, tees, patches, jewelry, bags, and a bunch of other hip stuff that's way too punk for all those SQUARE working stiffs toiling away at their 9 to 5 jobs. The folks who back KAOS want the riot on the streets and in the storefronts! The customer service is commensurate with the variety of the merchandise. Just one courteous staff member was enough to keep KAOS running well. I wish I had gotten the name of the cashier/stocker/buyer/jane of all trades. She answered all my general questions about the store inventory, and she let me dig through some of their overstock 12" records; I found one solid copy of a Loverde record. The store had some 45s to dig through too. Kaos does stock a little bit of everything. I picked out a David Essex 45. Yes, the one with Rock On on it. While I was digging I had a worthwhile chat with the cashier about David Bowie. She is apparently an extremely ardent Bowie devotee. I am not nearly as much of a Bowie fan; I did agree that Bowie was an exceptional entertainer and musician worthy of all his accolades and hype. I'm a fan of Bowie's plastic soul phase, so I asked if she had seen his performance on Soul Train. The same suggestion goes for anyone reading this post. If you've not seen Bowie's performance of Fame on Soul Train, then that suggests a wasted life. Go watch Bowie on Soul Train, or better yet pick up a copy of Changes One at Kaos. And where do we go from here?

Only a small fraction of my collection from Kaos records!

This has been my go to place since I was a little kid in the 90s for all music lovers, collectors, and local bands. All rare collection. I was one of the cool kids because of this store. Love this place!! Ray is the best!!!! Thank you Ray for the coolest childhood!!! Conventions, clubs and merchandise!!!!

Good selection of CD's at fair prices, and friendly, helpful staff. It's become my first go to record store.

Rock and hip hop seem to predominate the space in this small shop. They also sell CDs and tapes. Follow them on Instagram @vinylsaurs. This is the best way to know when they are open as they don't adhere to the schedule posted on Yelp. This is also how I found out about their amazing sale that Saturday.

I have to echo what other reviewers have said before: Gilbert is an amicable and informed record store owner. He shared his wealth of knowledge, cracked several funny one-liners, and even played Rock the Casbah. Thank you Vinylsaurs for all the quality jams and jokes. Update: This store is now my out and out favorite record store. The owner just installed a retro DJ system in the back. It was originally intended for roller rinks or large spaces. Sounds just like the system that would be used at a roller disco. Test out a favorite jam or look around while Gilbert tests another record collection. I heard another customer play Billy Stewart on the Vinylsaurs system, and the sonic funkiness echoed through the room. Vinylsaurs is now making a stronger push to sell tees, patches, pins and band merchandise. Gilbert is an expert at finding collector's items. I highly suggest contacting Gilbert to see if he does not have hard to find classic rock or classic rock fan gear. I recently saw a few rare Smiths records here. There really is not another store quite like this one. Vinylsaurs has been around before vinyl came back, and Gilbert's ability to professionally maintain this store front is a testament to his respect for music.

Do people actually buy cassettes? I don't think I want to meet those people, no oiffense. The CD collection was bigger and better than I expected. They have both new and used CDs.
