Don't buy your furniture here. The worst customer service ever. And the warranty you are promised is fake. Your problems with the furnitures will not be fixed or replaced. We bought 2 Tempur-Pedic mattresses and 2 Tempur-Pedic adjustable bases here. First purchase of a set was great so we went back to get another mattress and a base. And we now have ongoing problem with our mattress and the base. There has been so many problems dealing this store. I am so sad and unhappy with my purchase and the customer service. Please read both problems I had with the store. First is not that bad but second one is really bad and still ongoing. 1. When we were in for our second purchase, they incorrectly charged our card so we went back to fix the payment and it took more than an hour to get it fixed. It was a small math mistake by the cashier and the manager had a hard time fixing it. We were already disappointed that our sales representative saw us trying to fix the issue and completely ignored us to make more sale with other customers. 2. Now we are having another issue because our adjustable base has been unstable since the beginning or the purchase. We purchased a set of the mattress and a basement in December. And we got it delivered on a wrong day. Anyway, when we began to sleep on the bed, we felt the bed was unstable, shaky and moving as we were on it. We immediately reported this issue. And they sent a technician to fix it and he was unable to fix it. So they sent another one and no one showed up. So then they sent another one out and apparently there's no way to fix the issue and there should just be a replacement. He tried fixing it with different legs and was unable to fix it. He said we should get a call from the customer service for exchange and we never got a call so we called them. Apparently the technician reported that there is nothing wrong with the bed or the base. We were so frustrated so we asked to speak to a manager on the phone and the customer service worker said the manager should call back on the same day. We never got a call back. We called again, they said the same thing and we never got a call back. Again, we call and there is no manager. It's really hard to get a hold of the manager or anyone who can help us get the base fixed or exchanged. We are now not sure what to do. We purchased 10 year extended warranty (so we have total of 20 year warranty). This store is never going to fix any issues with the furniture they sell by simply ignoring the customers in store and on the phone. Please stay away from this place. Go elsewhere for your furnitures. read more

Within months the sofa cushions broke down to the point of him not being able to sit on one side . I called and they agreed to pickup the sofa and repair. This took 3 plus weeks and they had no sofa to sit on. After it was delivered back it still was not right but since it took sooo long to "repair " He decided to "live with it" . Big mistake... since then the sofa has gotten so bad that he can only sit in the middle cushion ( does not recline) I called the protection plan and was rudely brushed off ( not their problem. Call Mathis and spoke to a very nice manager Misa. It was told they willl not exchange, even though the "repair" was not done correctly and it's now past the manufacturer warranty but 4 months from the repair. Best the could do would be to "send their best" technician out to look at it and restuff the cushion ( which I was told the first time I called that it was "impossible do repair at the house " ... so now they can ? Miracle!!' But said they will not stand behind and repair. We have purchased $1,000's over the years with Mathis and it's soooo disappointing that such a large company won't stand behind their product. One of the worst customer services I've ever received. I was gifted a lamp as wedding gift from my parents a year ago which was not delivered. When I reached out on updates of the item, they initially stated that it was picked up from the store, which I never did. They then stated that they would try re-delivering the item (communication by the manager Ruben) which was never delivered. I really wanted to get this item as it was a gift from my parents but after trying so many times on updates I decided to ask for a full refund 6 months ago; think this would be easy right? I called them another 3-4 times to get this refund and the communication I kept getting is that they will reach out to the manager Ruben to call me, which never happened. Then I tried to reach the finance department directly and they said they would reach me via email (never happened). I have still yet to not get my refund back. Mathis Home seems to not care about its customer service, I do not understand why I have to waste hours over the past year to get a simple refund/item delivered. TLDR: If you are trying to get a refund for a product here, good luck. If your item happens to not get delivered to you and you have to ask for re-delivery, also good luck. Disappointing Experience & Misleading Membership Benefits I recently purchased a sectional from Mathis Home on 3/10/25, and the salesperson convinced me to sign up for their membership, highlighting a price match guarantee as one of the key benefits. Based on this, I moved forward with both the sectional purchase and the membership. However, after finding the same couch for a lower price at another furniture store, I reached out twice via email to inquire about the price match--only to receive no response. When I finally called customer service today, I was transferred to the Tustin store, where a salesperson informed me that price matching only applies if the competitor is within 55 miles. This restriction was never disclosed to me at the time of purchase, and I couldn't even find it in the terms and conditions. What's most frustrating is that I feel misled. Had I known the price match had such a major limitation, I would have simply purchased the sectional elsewhere for less. Instead, I was encouraged to sign up for a membership under false pretenses. Buyers beware--make sure to clarify all terms before committing to a purchase or membership at Mathis Home. I expected better transparency and customer service. read more

I went to Mathis Brothers and I had the pleasure meeting Wes. I let him know that I needed some time to look around because I was needing to buy multiple pieces of furniture. He offered to take my cell phone number and that way while I was looking around I could text him to ask him any questions. It worked out perfectly that way I had time to look and not feel pressured. Wes was so kind with helping me match different dining chairs with the dining table I found. And then when I let him know what type of sofa I was looking for he directed me to the area I should be looking in. Wes was so patient with me and so kind. Is the very first time I had a sales person not make me feel like I had somebody on my heel wanting to make a sale. After a couple hours I made my decisions and then I wanted to finalize things by going home and taking measurements.I did let West know I would be coming back during the weekend to make a purchase. I met with Wes Saturday and we went over the 10 items I wanted to purchase. He rung up the items and within 30 minutes I was on my way. So if you want somebody that won't pressure you and is himself . Ask for Wes. read more

What a disappointing experience this turned out to be. While the in-store shopping and interaction with the salesperson were positive, it was completely overshadowed by the poor performance of the delivery team. Despite arranging for inside delivery with the salesperson (not set up, just inside rop off) , the delivery team was unprofessional, dismissive, and unwilling to move the boxes just two feet beyond the front door. This was especially frustrating given that this was my third purchase from the store, with a total value exceeding $20,000. To make matters worse, when I called the store to address the issue, the salesperson I had worked with was unavailable. The sales manager, who initially promised to call me back, failed to follow through. When I finally managed to reach her, instead of resolving the problem, she made the situation worse with excuses. While she was polite, her lack of experience in handling customer concerns was apparent. In the end, I decided to cancel both my current order and an upcoming one. Their claims of "free delivery" are misleading--the service falls far short of expectations. read more

Besides the furniture itself I had the great pleasure of working with salesperson Allen York. To say Allen went over and beyond for us would be an understatement. This was the most enjoyable shopping experience I have ever had and truly made the difference for me finding what I loved! Allen treated us like longtime friends, labored with us on decision making and saw us all the way thru to delivery. Horrible experience. They cheat people!! I bought a bed in this shop two years ago. The sales person tried his best to persuade me to buy a protection on my bed . He promised me to refund the money back to me five years later if I didn't use it. So I followed his suggestion bought the protection. But it's only a bed. I don't think I would ever need that at all. Now two years. I went to the shop to buy something else. Another guy told me to buy protection and five years later it will become store credit. I asked it only store credit or refund the money. He said only store credit. Then I remembered the bed protection. I checked with front desk and they promised me to solve the problem and refund me the money five years later. But just now . She called me and told me this is not approved. Very bad experience. We did not intend to buy anything else but as she was walking us to the door we spotted a W&L mattress and bed frame and fell in love with it. Sarah was so great as we kept changing our minds as to the specifics. Sarah was patient, kind, professional and thoughtful and helpful. We finally made a decision to purchase and she explained everything in detail. Sarah even phones is an hour later as she located a set so that we could have a speedier delivery. Excellent sales person focused on the specific needs of the prospective customer. Her colleagues were also professional and friendly. Ashley saved the day!! We ordered a lot of furniture from Mathis Bros and had OK customer service...nothing great at first, and then when shipping delays happened things went downhill. We understand some of that was to be expected, but we didn't get any communication unless WE called and checked. Then we were shopping for a love seat - back to Mathis Brother because they really had the best selection and prices, but this time Ashley helped us. She did a great job of balancing giving us space to shop, and being right there when we had questions. Not only did she help us with this new order, but she took charge of communicating to us about the prior orders that were delayed. She gave us THE BEST customer experience. Bobby and Kat at Mathis Home (Irvine) assisted my wife and I with two Bernhardt leather, reclining loveseats and a matching reclining, leather chair in such a caring, thoughtful way. On Monday, January 22nd, we ordered the entire set, and we received the beautiful set today (Thursday, January 25th!! (See short video included here.) Yay, we retired and are having our dream home built! We visited the design center at the Irvine store and was introduced to Ati. What a wonderfully fun shopping experience. We gave Ati our floor plan and our idea of style that we preferred and she went to work. She was able to help us navigate through the many choices. In one day we ordered several rooms of furniture. We later returned with our floor and tile samples to confirm our choices were perfect with Ati's assistance. Ati really helped us through what can be a fun but also overwhelming experience. Greatly appreciated Ati's assistance and Mathis Brothers working with us due to the Covid delays of the completion of our house in regards to delivery. My husband and I have been to the Mathis Brothers in Irvine 3 times now and have requested Sharna Phillips each time. She's been great helping us. She knows where everything is in the store that complimented our style. We ordered a dinning room table which was supposed to take 5 weeks to deliver and we received it in 1 week. Wow! She just helped us purchase a new bed and we received it in 2 days. We're ordering new living room furniture and she set us up with a designer because she knows when she needs additional assistance.
