MAH Horrible experience…read more I would like to preface this by stating that I have previously had a very positive opinion of Dr. Cohrs personally. I firmly believe his bedside manner, attention to detail, and dental work are truly impeccable, and I appreciated his clinical care during my previous visits over the years. During my most recent visit though, things had changed. I was told by the hygienist, Lyndi, that a panoramic X-ray was "required by law" to maintain their license, with implied risk if refused. No such Michigan law exists--regulations cover equipment safety only, not mandating patient imaging (per LARA-Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Michigan Dental Association). My low-risk profile (excellent hygiene, no cavities in years, healthy gums, recent normal bitewings) showed no clinical need. ADA 2026 guidelines require panoramic only when necessary, to minimize radiation, not routinely. When I raised the issue feeling misled about Timberview losing their license, the hygienist called in the office manager who was beyond rude, defensive, interrupted repeatedly by obscuring and pivoting to "our standard of care," then asked my opinion of their standard. I said it felt revenue-driven rather than evidence-based. She immediately told me to leave. This was gaslighting: obscuring the obvious falsehood with vague "patient care standards" and punishing honest feedback with abrupt dismissal. Deceptive communication and unprofessional handling erode trust. Patients deserve transparency, not pressure and deflection. Unfortunately the unprofessional conduct of the office manager--particularly her repeated interruptions, twisting of the initial misleading statement, dismissive attitude, and abrupt decision to ask me to leave after I shared my honest opinion--has eroded my trust in the practice as a whole. Despite my high regard for Dr. Cohrs' skills and care, this experience will unfortunately prevent me from returning. Perhaps the business/name change to Timberview Dental has caused the business to now become profit driven over patient care driven. Be VERY careful about agreeing to unnecessary procedures that are lining their pockets.

I was taking them to a pediatric dentist in Kalamazoo who was going to send my grandson to the hospital for oral surgery which was going to cost almost $2000 out of pocket, but the kid's doctor recommended Dr. Rowland and I am so glad he did!!! Come to find out, my grandson didn't need the surgery. Dr. Rowland was able to remove the bad teeth and not only saved me from spending a lot of money I didn't have, but saved my grandson from an unnecessary surgery!!! Thanks so much Dr. Roland!!!

Dr. Rowland and his staff could not be more accommodating and kind to the fearful visitor like me. Rather than treat me like I had a problem--that all I had to do was "think differently" and I would suddenly be no longer afraid--they took care of me, offered me anything and everything I needed to make me comfortable (topical numbing to make sure I didn't feel the shot), and on top of it, they treated me with compassion. I can still remember the first time I was there for a filling, and Dr. Rowland sat there and spoke to me while squeezing my shoulder comfortingly as the numbing set in, helping me get my mind off what was about to happen. Now, while I still can't say I look forward to dental work, at least I don't dread it. Incidentally, I also appreciate how well the staff knows their patients--Dr. Rowland always asks after my family and remembers conversations from previous visits. I feel very welcome there and would recommend him to anyone!

On Mon, We'd, and Friday you can have the most incredible snuggly pug named Clark sit on your lap during your appointment and offer comfort. In fact I don't even need them to be a dentist anymore. If I could sit in the chair, listen to an playlist, sucking gas and petting this puppers it might be as close to heaven as you can find in this bleak and fading world. The initial appointment I learned I had early signs of periodontal disease. The treatment started right away. Rhonda was my hygienist and she explained things step by step. There was a cancellation and she asked if she could keep going or if I have had enough, I opted to stay, heck I'm already here, why not? My second appointment was just as the first.
