I been going to the El Segundo store for the last 20 years to buy Xmas and birthday gifts spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars but today was my last day buying any Mattel product. I went today for a gift for my grandson and manager Ismail called the police on all my family because he said I was steeling. Police came over and asked us questions and said am sorry but manager called us because he thought we were stilling. So a call out to all my Latino ppl and African Americans don't go to this location because they treat minority's like thief's. read more

Don't let the overweight dishwater blonde Danielle ring you up: she will get everything wrong. I had to drive all the way back on a Saturday and waste an hour and a half to get a price adjustment. Other than that, the place is great. Good deals--when they show up at the cash register. read more

Meh...I expected the company store at Mattel HQ to have the latest Hot Wheels and Matchbox releases, especially the special editions and premium models but instead they had the same peg warmers you find at a Target and some really old castings. It's sad that I can find the new releases at a collectibles swap meet but not at the Mattel store...disappointing... read more

I gave 3 stars because the prices are little high. They have the tent towards the back where you can save a bit. I purchased Barbie dolls for $3.99 and $4.99 now you can sometimes find $5 Barbie's on Amazon or in Walmart but since its Christmas they might be sold out so it would be worth it if you are close by. To save you really have to go to the tent and sign up for their award program which is free and to get the discount. I work around the corner so its no extra driving but I would not drive any further for the discount. read more

Went here yesterday. Every regular price item is 10% off. Some items are 50-75% off. Great place to go and buy a few toys. I saved $70 shopping here. I'm going to try and make it on Saturdays I was informed the door busters are great. read more

We came in at the right time I guess, I was looking for hot wheels, and they had a huge selection of current models on sale for 69 cents each, in oppose to 94 cents at walmart, that being said, had i not come in at a good time, they would've been 1.09$ each, you would think buying direct from the cooperate headquarters would be cheaper ALL the time, but anyways, they had sales throughout the store, not really good deals though, for instance, extra ammos for a toy gun would be on sale, but the actual gun would be regular prices, that's the catch, place is small, like the size of a dollar tree, i was expecting a toys r us when i walked in, but overall a good experience, staff was friendly and place is clean read more

Today was my first time at Mattel Toy Store, when I first walked it I was greeted but didn't feel too welcomed. I walked to the boys section and started looking for a gift for my sons 5th birthday today. I noticed an employee looking at me and I turned and smiled at her. She walked up to me so I asked if they had Forkie from toy story 4 but they didn't so I proceeded to walk to the girls section not even 15 minutes of being in the store the employee asked me if I was finished and if I was ready to check out I looked at her and said no I just got here. I kept going on with my business and was looking for toys to BUY for my son. The whole time I was there the employee followed me as if I was doing something wrong I felt very uncomfortable and it really bothered me so I grabbed whatever was in front of me and just went to pay. This wasn't right at all. I'm still very bothered!!! I think the cashier notice because at the end of my purchase they were being extra nice. This was not what i was expecting at a toy store. There were other customers shopping but I was the only one being followed!!! read more

This place is a fun day field trip. They have free parking behind the store in a parking structure or also out front. The staff is very nice and they have great deals on toys for kids and adults. You can also save with a saver card or sign up via text for text alerts on sales. I would recommend this store to collectors and people buying gifts for kids. read more

Off the beaten path -- but we were looking for it since our 2 year old is a Hot Wheels aficionado. Parking was scarce, but I get the sense that the store is aimed at Mattel employees rather than Mattel fans on vacation. That said, much of the inventory was at normal toy store/Target prices, but we walked out with some spectacular deals. We spent about $95 and bought 6 Hot Wheels playsets ($20-$25 retail), two Windsurf Barbies, two Horseback Barbies (est $25), 45' of Hot Wheels track, two Planes die-cast characters, two Fisher Price Little People cars, and 4 Hot Wheels cars. We (especially the kids) were happy with our haul. Why not 5 stars? Well, parking, and if we had been looking for specific items (i.e. Dinoco blue Lightning McQueen) we would've been disappointed. read more

This is a great store, it has a little bit of everything ! It has toys for girls & boys of all ages, as well as toys for Adult Collectors ! The prices are incredible, selection is vast, you shouldn't have any problem finding what you need there ? Also, Customer service is excellent, I would personally like to commend one specific individual his name is (Frank Valadez) ! He went out of his way to make sure Dec 23 that I had every toy I was looking for as Christmas Gifts ! He also explained how each toy works, gave advice on what toys are appropriate for what ages, & made me aware of all sales taking place at that time ! He made my experience very pleasurable, quick & easy ! Place is hidden away next to a Double Tree hotel, with office buildings all around. Small place but they do have great deals for people that work or live in the El Segundo area. Even if you don't work or live here you get great deals on Mattel toys. If you do, however, you get an extra discount on top of their already low prices. Doesn't get any better than that. read more

The tent during holiday is of course a way larger section and they add stuff everyday so even if you go to the event the end of the weeks the deals are still out of control!
