We were new to the area. Talked to a couple of firms about the range of our plumbing, HVAC and heating related needs, but could not get a clear, integrated solution. Our immediate need was grab bars for bathrooms, but also wanted to discuss the other (old house) issues. They coordinated getting parts with us so we could get what we wanted and some good prices. They sent someone (Jared) out for my immediate needs and to do an inspection. He understood our situation and what we were trying to accomplish. He got the ball rolling on the immediate needs and later that day people from their HVAC division come over to gather more details. They proposed a solution that leveraged the good parts of the current system, upgraded our older AC, incorporated a heat pump, and integrated elements of our existing oil heat and hot water system. Net result, dual fuel system that should lower energy cost and operate with a smaller whole house backup generator in the event of a power outage. I woke up this morning without heat and considering it was under 30 degrees outside I was extremely anxious to get the situation fixed. I called my regular HVAC provider which is a large, well known provider in the area but they were not available to help me in a timely manner. I called Mattioni Plumbing and I'm so glad I did. From the first phone call until the time the technician left it was a wonderful experience. The scheduler was polite, professional and seemed genuinely concerned. The automatic text messaging service is great and not only tells you when you can expect your technician to arrive, it even shares a photo of your technician. Once my technician arrived he promptly identified the issue and gave me some options to consider. Not once did I feel pressured to spend more money than I needed to. At the end, I signed off on my bill and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the fees where less than I am used to paying. Better service, quicker response, and lower cost. What more could you ask for. Needless to say I have now switched my service contract to Mattioni and I couldn't be happier. read more

I would like to preface that I NEVER leave reviews, especially not bad ones, but this company really gave me bad vibes. During a routine tune up, they told me my AC was leaking and that a very expensive coil needed to be replaced. They also told me I had a crack in my heat exchanger that would need to be replaced "at some point" but neglected to mention how dangerous that can be because of the potential for a Carbon Monoxide leak. Only later when I had another company come out for a second opinion did they explain the severity of the situation had there actually been a crack. As it turns out, the other company I called DID NOT find a crack in the exchange or an issue with my AC! At this point, I can only assume that Mattioni was fishing for things "that needed to be repaired" in order to make a sale. Overall, Mattioni came out to my home multiple times in the course of a year and would always find something that needed to be repaired or replaced and my HVAC system is fairly new. I do not believe they have the best interest of the customer in mind and would not recommend their services. read more

We called Mattioni in an emergency situation right before they closed for the day. We were met with a helpful staff that immediately sent Shaun N. out to help us out. Everyone, all the way from the person who answered the phone to Adam who dispatched for us and Shaun, our Service Pro, were extremely friendly, timely and responsive. Shaun was extremely pleasant, informative (explained each step of the process and why certain steps needed to be done) and fast acting. Not only did he have our system up and running smoothly and quickly, but had looked into our unit's warranty for the part that was replaced and called us first thing the next morning to confirm the part was covered by warranty AND credited us back for the part on the spot. Typically, we have had other companies come out for a wide array of services in our house and can confidently say we have NEVER been met with this kind of service from any other company in the past. We will absolutely be using Mattioni for HVAC maintenance moving forward and for any other service that they would be able to assist with. read more

I have had Mattioni Plumbing, Heating & Cooling service my home two or three times. The technical teams are mostly good, and I noticed they usually bring a trainee along, which is fine. However, the pricing and all the add-on pushes are, in my opinion, a waste of money. I was told twice to replace my water pressure reducing valve even though it had already been changed a year before. This time, I had a leak in the laundry room and was charged $880 before they'd even determine the final issue, to which I agreed. The actual fix ended up being a bad $3.95 valve plus labor. For $880, they did a 15-minute job replacing two laundry valves and removing a small piece of wallboard, after first suggesting more expensive procedures like a camera drain inspection. The work area was left in good condition, but I feel the pricing wasn't justified for what was done. Mattioni seems to be pillaging the unsuspecting. The technical staff seems to be doing their best, but the problem is in the management and business model. I will not use them moving forward. read more

Mattioni installed our commercial HVAC system back in 2017. They frequently serviced the unit we had prior to the one installed and have also serviced the new system since its been installed. Today our system stopped working. I called Mattioni and explained the issue and they said they would be out at some point today. I then received a call back about 2 hours later. Mattioni stated that they didn't have a ladder tall enough to service the equipment they installed 3 years ago that's still under warranty. After explaining to them that they installed the system they said "Oh well we don't service commercial accounts anymore". I found that super interesting as they just quoted me $29,975 dollars 2 weeks ago to put air conditioning in a separate part of my building. Don't be fooled. This company only cares about the jobs that pay well. Once they install your $10,000 system and they take your money you will then be on their "when it's convenient for us" list. If only there was a way to leave negative stars! read more

Well any one who has had there sewer pipe back up into their house knows it can be pretty traumatic. Terry and Wendall came to diagnose the problem. They were nice and calm in explaining everything well because I wasn't if you can imagine with sewage all over the finished basement. They used an auger to clear the pipe and remove debris (stuff obviously flushed by previous owners) from the outside clean out. They were able to tell right away that the pipe had cracked at the foundation and saved me money by not using the camera to look. They could have probably said they needed to use the camera to double check and charge me for it but he didn't. I requested Terry to do the job of excavating and replacing the pipe. He did a pretty good job with that too. We have very rocky soil and it wasn't an easy dig. I don't know if the prices I got for the original visit and excavation are reasonable or not but I will call on Terry again because he worked with me well in my panic state of mind. read more

Phenomenal service. In the middle of gutting my kitchen, I discovered that the original copper pipes in my 1950s split-level were badly corroded. I was not expecting any plumbing needs, and had already scheduled an electrician to move some wiring around and a drywaller to clean things up afterwards. Needless to say, I was in an absolute panic. I called Mattioni on a Monday night, they came out by lunchtime Tuesday, gave me a quote on the spot, and spent all day Wednesday banging out the work. The plumber whom I worked with, John Martin, was excellent. He immediately recognized the most important issues, made a few suggestions about how best to approach the work, and then worked his tail off to keep my kitchen renovation on schedule. The cost of re-piping nearly my whole house was far lower than expected, and Mattioni's pricing system was very clear and understandable. Mattioni, and especially John Martin, will be our go-to for plumbing needs in the future. read more

I needed a dishwasher supply line changed quickly from copper to flex hose in order to install my new dishwasher. I called Mattioni and, though I stressed that this was not an emergency, the dispatcher was able to route technician Rob Wagner to me within a half hour. Rob was very professional and made smart recommendations about how the job could best be accomplished. We agreed on his recommended best method and he proceeded with the work. Rob worked quickly but carefully ensuring that a fire extinguisher was available due to the need to solder. Rob installed the needed adaptor and for good measure left me with the flex hose that the installation would need. He explained to me that the hose needed to remain unattached for now to properly install the unit. Rob then placed everything back the way it was and left no mess behind. I'm quite happy with my experience with Rob Wagner and the others in the Mattioni establishment that facilitated this service call. read more

I am a local business owner. I own a bar/restaurant in Chester County. I recently had a patron vandalize my bathroom at 2AM. The patron broke my urinal and my toilet to where they were NOT usable. I was afraid that I would not be able to open my business on a Saturday, or have to make my other bathroom a universal bathroom, which would have been a nightmare. I called Mattioni's emergency line at 3AM, they answered the call very quickly. They had some one out at my business with all the correct parts and a new toilet by 8:30AM. I was up and running by my open time. I can not say enough about the importance of having them available at all hours of the day. All of their employees are professional and really know their stuff. Due to the way they serviced my restaurant, I will never use another plumber besides Mattioni. I would recommend that anyone who is a business owner who may need a plumber at off hours, to use Mattioni. read more

Very disappointed in Mattioni's service. We purchased a quality heat pump from them a few years ago and believe me, they do not offer competitive pricing! However we chose them because we thought that as their customer they would service the unit. Unfortunately we were wrong. Last night the unit stopped working and we do not have heat. They will be happy to come out today during their "emergency hours" and bill us accordingly or we can wait until Monday. I called Kendig's in Christiana, PA and Boyd's in Elverson, PA. Keep in mind, they did not profit from the sale of the unit like Mattioni's did and although both service companies are booked today, they offered to work us into the schedule without charging us for "emergency hours". Think twice before doing business with Mattioni's because they do not seem to put importance on customer service or customer satisfaction but they will gladly take your money! read more

We recently moved into the WC area & called several companies when we had a water leak from our kitchen sink. Mattioni was the only plumbing company in the area that had same day services for an emergency which was an absolute g-d send b/c our kitchen sink was leaking & causing water damage to our wood floors. The technician that was sent was Jared C. & he was very professional & thorough. We are very happy with the level of service & the quick turnaround time. on 3/31/17 Technician Rob W. came to our home to perform a complimentary home inspection. He inspected the plumbing & heating throughout in the internal & external parts of the house & identified areas of concern. Rob provided us with an overview of the items to be repaired & costs. He was very professional & personable. We will absolutely be using Mattioni for our future plumbing & heating needs. read more

Awesome service! My air conditioner stopped working 2 days before vacation during a heat wave. I called Mattioni and they were able to send their technician, Matt, out the same day! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. My system was 20 years old so I knew it was at the end of its life. Fortunately for me, they were able to get an installation team out the next day to replace my system. As stressed as I was for packing for vacation, Mattioni allowed me to not be stressed about this too. Andres and Adam were the installers and they were also very friendly and knowledgeable. The entire process was seamless from start to finish and I got to come back from vacation to a cool home. Another great part is how quiet this new energy efficient system is. My sister called Mattioni 1/14/21 because of a toilet clog. She explained that my mother is on hospice and the use of the bathroom facilities are critical. My sister said the receptionist (sorry she did not get her name) was so kind and helpful and said she would escalate the service ticket and gave her a 2-3 hour window that a technician would be here. A while later, we got a phone notification that John Martin was on his way. John was very customer focused and worked for hours to solve the issue. He had to remove the toilet and snake the lines, a dirty, time consuming job. He resolved the clog, put everything back together and cleaned up the job site, including wiping hand prints off the storm door. The cost was very reasonable (thanks John). This was a great experience with this company. We are very grateful. read more

My heater stopped working this past Friday night. I called Horizon on Saturday to see how quickly they could come out to fix it and the next available appointment was not until two weeks later even though I explained that we have a three year old daughter living in the house. We pay for a maintenance package with Horizon which now I will be cancelling. I called Mattioni and within an hour or so they already had someone at my house. It cost me an additional $40 to have them make a service call on a Saturday but it was well worth it to have the problem fixed right away. Matt was the contractor that fixed the broken pressure switch and he was fantastic. Not only was he polite and quick working, he also helped me save additional money by showing me the service specials that were on their website that I had no idea about. read more

A huge thank you to the Mattioni scheduling team and to Rob W. and John M., the two technicians to perform a miracle. My tank-less water heater stopped working on Monday night. I called it into Mattioni late Monday night. Tuesday 11am I had Rob on site, performing diagnostics, providing me with options and ultimately making a plan to replace the unit. Not only did Mattioni actually have a unit in their inventory (I dare you to find a company that has that) they brought it over, and stayed until late into the evening to finish the install. I had hot water that night! I have had a few instances lately around my house with things breaking (including a bleeding gas line) and Mattioni was by my side every step of the way. I first contacted Mattioni's on 3/10(early Sunday morning) via their online chat and was given their emergency number to call. I waited til about 6 a.m. and spoke with the very nice, helpful and knowledgeable dispatcher, Barbara. She said she could have someone(Jordan) there in 2-3 hours. Within that time Jordan and his associate arrived and were able to fix my plumbing issue after a few standard procedures could not but then a creative out-of-the box work-around method did the job. It was completed within an hour or so. It was clear from observation and end results that Jordan was a highly skilled technician and one with excellent sales and people skills. I just had my water system serviced. I had this system installed by Mattioni's in 2015. Jared Colligan was the plumber to do this. I ALWAYS ask for Jared to come out to the house when I have any plumbing needs. Jared services the water system annually, works on any inside plumbing needs for me, and has replaced three outdoor faucets. Jared is very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and pleasant. He sometimes will bring an apprentice with him. This time, he brought Andrew. Andrew was also courteous and congenial. Mattioni's is prompt with scheduling. Jared always comes out for the time and date that I scheduled. Congratulations Mattioni's on your 75th anniversary.
