I always love going to Matt saloon. This place is always awesome. The bartenders are on it spot on sometimes. Yes there's a little weight due to. There's a lot of people in this place. The ambience depends on what time of the day you're at if it's Friday Saturday evening is usually a live band in there starting around 8:30 and it's pretty packed and not loud but it's pretty decent always some dancing and what not going on. But if it's during the day a little bit more quiet And Obviously a lot less of a crowd but still an awesome place unfortunately they don't have food there, but you can go get food at one of the restaurants around the area and bring it in without a problem. read more

Was looking at locations to host our company Christmas party and wanted to check out the location. Stopped in for a drink, not the friendliest staff behind the bar. Then was told cash only when paying for drinks. Bartender didn't tell us in advance.........who doesn't take credit cards at this point in business? We were going to move forward with the location, but the negative attitude and cash only environment made us decided we will be taking our business and hosting our party elsewhere - this place lost out on having our 30 employees enjoy their space. Service is fine, kids nowadays are just lackluster at best while serving, you kinda get what you get. The place itself is old school cool and great for a beer or two. THEY ARE CASH ONLY!!!! I always love coming to Matt saloon. Great bar with live music always. They don't serve any food, but you're more than welcome to grab food at one of the local places close by and bring it in. The bar service is excellent. The back bar bartender she is one of the best remembers you. All the staff always remembers you no matter if it's front bar back door, which is great in which I really like about a place the ambience the whole place is great live music. My girlfriend and I stopped into Matt's Saloon and were lucky enough to be taken care of by Sierra behind the bar. She was absolutely amazing -- super friendly, cute, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. She really went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. It's not every day you come across a bartender who can make you feel like a regular on your first visit, but Sierra nailed it. Matt's is a must if you're in Prescott. We have made Prescott one of our annual runs. Matt's is our goto watering hole. Karaoke on Wednesday is awesome. Our last trip we had Taylor as our bartender. Beauty, brains and a voice to die for! She was attentive and never missed a beat even when singing. Last night we had Sierra. Another amazing bartender. Beauty, sass and personality! A fun country bar in Prescott AZ. We always have fun here. The live bands are great, lots of country line dancing, strong drinks & even karaoke sometimes. We went there on Super Bowl Sunday & they had a buffet set up with tons of free food; it was awesome. The staff including security are always friendly too. Was hanging out in Prescott and wanted a beer.. wife and I walked in and was stunned by the beautiful decor. The Christmas decorations were wonderful. Loved the old ceiling. If I could give ONE star, I would. My friends and I went for a bachelorette party last year. We started dancing, having our things in the middle of us. A woman walked right up, picking up my coat and started to walk away. I stopped her, telling her it was my coat. She went on to say that her family owned the bar! WTF!? Found out she had rudely nudged one of my friends while trying to get drinks, pushing my other friend while walking past her. I ended up telling her, as she was talking about me to another woman, that I tried to be nice and she's lucky I didn't call the cops. NEVER WILL ME OR MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ENTER THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!! My husband went with family to visit a friend. His friend told him they hate the place because of how they're treated. Best Karaoke System and Nice Bar It's rare to find a good place for karaoke that actually has good sound! Matt's has their own sound system so it's wired into the pro audio system and not just some cheap speakers from a karaoke guy. The only spot I know in Prescott that does karaoke in Sunday's too which is cool! Not sure which other days they have it. The karaoke DJ is a friendly guy who does a good job of sorting through the masses of people. The bartender girl did a great job of trying to manage the whole packed place seemingly all by herself! I was surprised she seemed to be the only bartender with a couple hundred people on location... They have a pool table in back also if you are so inclined. There used to be an upstairs bar where the karaoke competitions used to be but it appears to be all closed down now. All in all this is a good spot I have been coming for about 17 years or so now...
