We were looking for a local sports bar to check out away from Sedona so we decided to stop in here. It was quite the happening spot when we arrived. Midday Saturday with live music, people dancing and having a great time. You can definitely tell it as a local bar. There were also pool tables and other things to play while you drink and hang out. Generally a good experience, but we had one of the bartenders (dyed blond with shoulder length) be unnecessarily rude to our group. We were almost done, and the last person drinking stepped out to hang with the people smoking (which you aren't supposed to do admittedly), and the bar tender immediately came out, and starting chewing her out for it, and then snapped at us for hanging out without drinking. I don't mind being called out for making mistakes, but she was completely rude, boredline aggressive with us, and we were trying to comply. I like the food and atmosphere, but someone like her would make me want to find somewhere else. read more

The change in ownership has engendered a change in clientele. The food service is slow. The blond bartender doesn't listen. She charged my credit card although I told her I would pay in cash, I also ordered fries to accompany my gyro, but she didn't order them, then she explained the gyro does not come with fries, to which I explained that's why I ordered them. The gyro is not served in a manner that will allow you to eat it like a sandwich but is served flat on a platter. The blond bartender failed to place a flag on our table or give us a set up, The clientele seems to have shifted lower on the scale to unsavory--guys who ride battery powered bikes, most likely because they lost their license, who seem to have a coveted place in the eyes of the bartender. Oh, yeah, we also smelled a pungent order of a just legalized substance several times while watching the game. We will not return. read more

Happening bar! We came in on a Friday night around 11:00 pm and they had DJ ILL EGO playing some pretty good music! No need to get dressed up too much. People were in their sandals and flip flops but dressed up as well, so whatever you wear, you won't feel out of place. A very mixed crowd. The dance floor had lots of people enjoying themselves, dancing, laughing and having fun which made for some good people watching. There was a great vibe and atmosphere with fun colorful lights on the large dance floor. The bouncers checking us in were pretty cool as well, not the usual mean type of bouncers you find at other bars. I wanted a pina colada , but was told they don't make mixed drinks - definitely a beer and hard liquor type of bar. I ended up having cranberry juice. Fun crowd overall, there are also plenty of comfy sofas and the packed patio seemed like a popular hang out spot. There are other events which I'm down to check out including karaoke, bingo - which I'm told is a very fun time, and other fun activities. read more

Food was miserable. "Less in more" is something they should focus on. The hamburgers they serve are frozen, pre-made discs that are hidden beneath way too many unnecessary, greasy toppings, plus, they are served on the smallest little plate lined with paper, which tries its best to absorb all the grease, but fails, so just gets soggy and gross. Also, plastic silverware? Shame! They said the chicken tenders are amazing. Again, waaay to greasy and bland. The taste of the siracha sauce does not complement the chicken at all. In fact, it tastes a bit like they are hiding the the taste of old, near to expire chicken. They say the locals love the place, great, have it. There are better places to eat. read more

I can't believe that there is a live music venue.....in Cottonwood and even cooler that this place USED to be a church! REALLY nicely done with a great stage for the talent to play, a few "lounge areas" with couches and tables, and an open space that serves as a dance floor. There is also a perch for the audio controller. The bar area is very cool with a nice selection of craft brews on tap and some good wine offerings. The inside is very well lit: dark with very strategically placed lighting that really makes for an awesome atmosphere. The walls contain a lot of cool artwork so the whole place really is about art and community. I think it's awesome that these guys took a church and remade into something so cool. Everything inside is brank spanking new-the perfect place to take in some live music. Food can be ordered via phone from the barbeque place behind the venue. Items on the menu include pulled pork, hot dogs, brats, burgers and a few other bites to choose from. On the particular night I went in the band was a rock/blues group that rocked out some pretty good tunes. This is not typical Cottonwood where "live music" usually means a solo acoustic guitarist. Nothing wrong with that but I'm just not used to electric guitars, sax and keyboards. There is live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Sundays there is "Church of Bluegrass" and there is ladies night on Wednesdays with a DJ spinning tunes. Main Stage is yet another amazing new business that is transforming this town into a destination unto itself. I am really looking to coming back here again next time I'm in the area. read more

Went to this bar to play pool and have some drinks. Ordered a hot lemon water and a virgin bloody mary the bar tender said that the stuff for the bloody Mary's were already put away. She served 6-7 drinks to other patrons and we never even got our drinks or a second glance. We we're here at 9:00pm on May 19, 2022. Service was awful. read more

Had brunch when the place opened...great dishes offered! Wife had Eggs & Potatoes which was a great meal. Well seasoned and tasted great! I ventured for a little fun and got the Donut Waffle...and it didn't disappoint (need to have sweet-tooth)! For lunch, we had the Brats & Onions. AMAZING! When I heard this place opened I couldn't wait to go there. A sedona band called decker. seem to play there lots, and I couldn't wait to catch a show. The vibe is trendy but kinda hickish because it tries to look trendy (very clean, great ART, too) but then the people who come in work in Central AZ in farming, ranches, etc... it's a very cool crowd. Drink prices were pretty good and sound worked for a small off the road place. If you live in Central AZ, this is the place to hear music. Period. read more

Great bar. Great stage. The friendliest staff at any bar in town. Anytime I want to go out on the town, this is always my preferred location for the night. Between DJs, Live Music, Open Mics, Karaoke, and comedy shows, there's always a bit of variety at this venue. Something for everyone during some point of the week. I've never had to worry about breaking the bank when I come to Main Stage, even when I order food! They just renovated to add a restaurant recently, and the food is great. Definitely above average for a local bar. I'm excited to see where their menu goes once they get trial and error out of the way. As a local musician, this venue is the best spot in town to perform. They're decked out with lighting, sound, a large stage, green room, back room, and a professional in-house audio engineer. This bar has only been a part of the local scene for just over a year, and the surprises keep on coming. I can't imagine getting tired of this place anytime soon. read more

I cannot fully review this cool local spot because I haven't seen or heard any of the entertainment or been there on a busy night. My wife and I have had cocktails and eaten here. The food is pretty good for bar fare and reasonably priced. I would like to go back to sample some entertainment and see how things flow when it's really busy. So for now I will put up 5 stars so as not to lower its stellar review status. I will say I was somewhat surprised by the funky vibe and friendly staff although that was entirely consistent with the reviews I read here on Yelp. read more

Great atmosphere with live DJ! This is a great place to go for dancing and drinks. They have a really large area - dance floor for fun, bar tables for chatting, patio for enjoying weather or smoking, and art work to check out! We went this weekend and they were having a super hero party night - we just dropped in, so we were not in costume - but no fear - they gave us cool super hero sunglasses and wrist bands! I have been going to the main stage for about a year. It's a great place for music. They have a lot of different artists here and I've yet to see a bad one. My favorite is the blues jam. Being an avid fan of the blues, it is the night for me. There's always a decent crowd there for chatting or dancing. I'm just there to listen and dance and people watch. They serve food, but I haven't eaten there yet. I hear it's good also. On any given night (Thurs) there are 3-5 people come in to play with the house band. There is a new guy in town that blows a great sax. He's not to be missed and he also sings. Makes for a great fit for Mike and the guys. It's guaranteed you'll have a great time. We'll be dancing until you get there to see for yourself. Jam is from 7-10. Peace. read more

Bloody Mary good. Strange menu but I finally chose the Gnocchi ala Mama. The meatball, sausage, shrimp and "Italian gravy" we're excellent but the Gnocchi were disappointing. Asked to turn down the music but then some guy came in and blasted it again! He also turned the channel on tv I was watching to some Barn saving show :( Went there for lunch and we were the only ones there the whole time. No desserts. Disappointing. read more
