An enjoyable dive bar. No club atmosphere here, just simple bar with attentive bartenders. An excellent choice for day drinking.

Honestly it's a great place bouncers are mad respectful they do their job to the t the bartender is there or awesome don't get me wrong you have your local riff Raff that come through there that make it a pain in the ass to actually enjoy yourself like a guy named Arkansas the more he drinks the looser his mouth gets. Makes it really hard to unwind and a select a few others but other than that it's a really great place they have live music on certain days they have a kitchen that they make bomb ass pizzas. It's a great place to be to have a few drinks or to get in a fight lol or it simply just to grab a nice bite honestly they're pizzas are better than Domino's. And their pricing is also very respectful and reasonable. So I give these guys five stars. read more

Super disappointed... group of 14 women, out for a birthday celebration, Our final stop.... Figured we would dance the night away however that did not happen. Bar tender was awesome, however the DJ was not interested in even listening to anyone in our group. I get that not all requests are honored but the manner in which he addressed our group was just plain disrespectful and rude. He continued to take requests from the other large group but would not even acknowledge multiple members from our group. We tipped $20 for one song and we're met with udder disregard. Set my full drink on the bar and let the bartender know why our group was leaving before 12pm. The rest of the staff and crowed seemed awesome but the DJ was extremely off putting and took business from this bar. read more

Nice dive bar! Beer was super cheap and bartenders were cool. Really enjoyed the outside area consisting of corn hole, fire pits, games, etc. Really unique. Wish it was a little busier for a Saturday night but you can definitely tell the locals apart from the tourists haha. Regardless, we felt welcomed. read more

I came back w so many souvenirs from Sedona and the one thing I wish I could have packed on my carry on was this bar. This bar... made my trip so much more fun- and I was already having a blast. They are so friendly to tourists and they have karaoke and they encourage you to sing. Everyone I met was super friendly and just wanted to have a good time. I wish bars in LA were like this because it's just a down to earth, good drinks, good times fun place. I will definitely be back to the Chap after I take some singing lessons so I don't make their ears bleed next time. read more

Best bar in the Sedona/Cottonwood area. Came here on a Monday night and had a blast. The bartender was friendly and fast. We shot pool, played the jukebox and darts. The bartender was kind enough to loan us his personal set of darts when the customer sets were missing. There is a back porch sitting area that was comfortable and had a good setup including a foos ball table. They have a good selection of beer both in bottle and draft, as well as a full bar. The drinks were also reasonably priced. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere, this is the best place in the area. read more

We are not from out here but came to cottonwood for a couple days and we were in search of a local hometown bar . We fell in love with this bar the hospitality and the locals that are here. There are not a lot of choices for drinking in Cottonwood, and I don't know how often Yelp readers will find themselves in Cottonwood. But that being said, this is a fun bar. It's also the only place that you can count on to be open past midnight any day of the week. it has a nice divey feel with a couple of pool tables and a variety of intersting clientele that make for an experience in itself. I have yet to go in to find the place empty. They have a HUGE patio for smoking, watching TV, sitting around a fire or even play some horseshoes. I don't know how safe the combination of horseshoes and alcohol is, but I've made it out unscratched on several occasions. The crowd is always fun and lively. You may start out at another bar, but you'll be glad you wound up here after the other places have closed down. read more

This is a really fun dive bar in Cottonwood. Great service, live music,pool tables, horseshoes in the back. Cheap, cheap drinks. Even though there was no smoking inside, the patio door is open so it smelled like smoke inside too. So if cigarette smoke bothers you, this isn't your place. read more

Our cab driver recommended that we go here versus the Boom Room. At first we were a bit disappointed because we were looking to go dancing and hear current (non country) music. When we walked through the door, it was obvious that we were the only girls! This was a little odd. We decided to sit down and have a drink before we made a quick judgement - which was smart. This is a place locals go to. Lots of people playing pool and a live band singing classic country songs like Hank Williams and Willie Nelson. While it wasn't dance music, it was great! Everyone in this bar was very friendly. Drinks were pretty cheap! Try the jello shots... they rock! Later we discovered there was a whole back patio area that was really big with plenty of space for groups. A good place to watch games, have drinks and socialize. read more

Unfortunately, I felt obligated to leave a review after multiple bad experiences at this bar. The bouncers failed to do their job and allowed both myself and my friends to be harassed verbally and physically. As a woman, I don't feel safe or protected here. read more

I have always enjoyed going to the Chapperel.. They have something every night. There's karaoke nights, pool, bands, friendly bartenders. It's one of the best places to go In Cottonwood. I highly recommended it. The drinks are good, there's beer on tap. Horse shoes darts..its just the greatest place to meet your friends and hangout. There's an outdoor area with fire pits. This place had the reputation of being the most violent bar in town. It still has a dark and clique like vibe. Staff is okay. Pool tables are crappy, old and haven't been serviced in decades. The outside is lovely but no one goes there. It's a typical bar. read more

This place is sickening. I could smell the toilet while standing in the parking lot. When I walked in, I observed that the bathrooms were a good 30 feet from the door. The odor had saturated the room and made it's way out even through a closed door. Upon actually entering the restroom, I was blown over by the smell and the filth. It was so bad, I went outside and pissed behind the building. The bar was filthy and hot. There was only one vent with any air coming through, and it was barely cool. The bartender, a female, was wearing a shirt with a cougar on it that stated "Where the pussy eats you"...... Ok, if you are the LEAST BIT civilized, you will want to avoid this place. if you are daring enough to try it, I wouldn't order anything that doesn't come ina sealed bottle. And I'd recommend a tetanus shot as well. A complete hole! read more
