I asked him for a refresh of soda still flat. Their skinny margarita was all sugar, maybe in half an ounce of tequila. I really enjoyed the lady at the front door that was taking a cover charge $10 per person. I liked Alex. He was super nice but the other bartender, he doesn't know how to be a bartender. It's a fun place to visit when you want to go out, and everything closes down early, you have to visit downtown Prescott. They were one of the few places open late, we wanted to check out the nightlife and get a drink and this place was it. The court house across the street was festively lit up and looked amazing at night. The pilsners we had were good, I ordered the bomb pop cocktail that was pretty strong and tasty. Interesting place, they had a couple buisnesses all in one. Everything was closing early but this place was still open, so I was greatful for that. They had a good beer selection but I didn't try the food. It was a bit dark inside and hard to read the menu, but the staff was helpful for selecting a couple beers. I'm glad I stopped in. Outstanding service great atmosphere excellent location and super aloha friendly employees. The interior is very nicely done and they have outside seating as well. Their menu is limited and not much of a kitchen area behind the bar. But they have a smoker and their chicken wings are outstanding. The pretzels are soft and warm with great sauces. Ok the seating inside are all bar height which some folks don't like but it works for me. The best part is 7 day happy hour!!! Prices are excellent and a great beer selection. Still loving this place hard. It was pretty slow early in the evening around 7pm, but started filling up around 9-10pm. You can't beat the prices and service here. It's still my favorite bar in Prescott to simply hang and drink with friends. La Planchada is directly across the street, so once you're hungry it's super convenient to pop over there and grab some delicious tacos. All around win-win location! read more

One star review because I was profiled by the bar tender last night and lied to about closing time. I went in just before 12am for a beer and a late night snack. That's all I wanted! But I was dressed in jeans and a hoody, so I wasn't "matching" the vibe of a Saturday night maybe? But that shouldn't matter. I was respectful and wanting to give them business. It's 11:30pm in Prescott on a Wednesday and I'm hungry. "Dominos" says the locals. Popcorn at Jersey Lilly but otherwise I'm going to bed hungry. It smells like hot dogs but I was so very grateful for the wings and pretzel. Pairs well with Jameson neat. I've come to this bar for years, I've loved this bar and it's atmosphere and the bartenders that work here. However their day bartender (the redhead I don't know her name) is very lackluster. Not particularly friendly, and she can't even meet the basic requirement of refilling drinks. Every.single. time. I have to ask for a refill. She's probably never offered. My favorite bar!!! Way cool, often find servers from other restaurants hanging out here so you know it's good place to be. Cool owner, the BEST margarita ever. So fresh and tart, like really good. Very well taken care of, way cool patio to hang at. All the tables have a candle always lit (not a fake one) and they have killer BBQ brisket, had only once as they seem to be out if it often. The owner was super friendly and we sat outside in the rear seating area enjoying our delicious alcohols and the glorious weather. The only thing marring our visit was the rich, satisfying aroma of the two human ashtrays next to us... We were in Prescott and stopped here for a drink or three. As we were the only ones in the bar at the time, the bartender was available. I ordered a marg and my husband had a draft beer. Okay so far. We ordered their gourmet popcorn. It was far from gourmet, so one strike. As a couple more people came in, the bartender spent all her time at the other end of the bar talking to them. We couldn't get her to get us another round of drinks, so we decided to leave. Strike two. Now for the biggest issue of all. We had given her a credit card to pay for our drinks. She swore we didn't give it to her. We know we did. She looked and couldn't find it. So we had to cancel our credit card while on vacation. That's strike 3, 4, 5 and lots more. I used to really enjoy this place. it was soooo hectic when we got to the restaurant seemed as if no one knew what they were doing. it was everyone's first day on the job. we wanted to have a relaxed lunch with some drinks for my brother's bday after the art show. but we were rushed from the moment we sat down. the waitress came over and very abruptly "hey what can I get you all to drink?" we ordered our drinks. she was back pretty quick but the water was AWFUL. tasted like pool water or something. it was just off. dirty fountain or something. the wine I ordered was cheap and it was ok. we told her we would look ove the menu and e joy our drinks a bit then order. she came back with that same abrupt attitude every few moments. now we planned on having a full lunch here and quite a fee drinks. about the 4th time coming by being annoyed with us that we weren't ready. my friend said just bring chips and salsa and we will order when we are ready. she came back those again asking us to order. it was all just not a good experience. we finished our one drink had a few chips and salsa and left without lunch. she seemed beyond annoyed when we said we would take the check. not to my surprise. they used to be so friendly here and the food was so good. it was very cafeteria vibe and I'd day I'd rate the food but couldn't get past the rushed abrupt service to stay long enough. The food here has been getting so much better every single time I come in it gets better. The drinks are fairly priced and delicious. Service is great although on the weekends it does get a little busy but you can't really blame them for that. The ambiance here is amazing they have paint nights and live bands and great music. The location of the Prescott Public House is great. It's just off the courthouse square in Prescott and there's a fair amount of parking around it. We thought we'd give it a try and heard that they have a decent happy hour. First off, you don't get that warm feeling when you walk in there. There was one person working behind the bar by herself so table service was out of the question. No problem. It's a small place and easy to walk up and order. The bartender was very indifferent as to whether we were there or not. No greeting. No smile. My kids were hungry so one ordered a panini from their small menu. They were out of paninis. The second kid ordered and I'm sorry but I can't remember what he asked for but it didn't matter, they didn't have it. We asked "what do you have?" and she said pretzels. So we ordered some pretzels with cheese and they were fine. I think they were out of the beer that my husband ordered but he got something different. My drink was very good. We finished and left. We loved hanging out at the Prescott Public House. It was Sunday afternoon on a particularlly weird weather day so we were the only people there around 2pm. A bawdy, friendly crowd trickled in while we were there and a DJ started spinning some very cool stuff, too. We enjoyed the friendly staff and the SPECTACULAR bloody mary bar. They serve a house made, garden vegetable infused vodka with easily the best house made bloody mary mix and a delightful buffet of toppings. There's a great patio out back, too. I love this place! Everything from the service to the food is great. I was driving on my way from Sedona and stopped by this place after searching for a place off the main street and we ended up here. The atmosphere is so welcoming... it makes you want to stay forever and drink a beer (and play games). It feels like home. Food: The drink list is great and ranges from cocktails (the bloody mary is AMAZING) to different beers on tap. I think that you can also build your own bloody on sundays.. which is amazing. If we had been around, we would've definitely made it a point to be here on a Sunday. They also have a wide number of beers on tap. My boyfriend is a Coors Light/lager drinker and the bartender was really helpful in choosing one of the craft beers that aligned with his taste. I've been going to this bar for about three years and I love this place. I always get a drink called a Bomb Pop, and it is literally an alcoholic version of the rocket popsicles. It is my favorite. This place is awesome another great place in Prescott. Once you walk in and see all the handles they have for beer and notice the local art on the walls you know it's gonna be a fun time there. We went in looking for music and brews and that's what we got. They have music every Friday night so that's the spot to be. The band was a talented acoustic duo very friendly too and had some good jams. Now the beer selection here is great a lot of beers on draft and even more on the bottles list some that you may never have heard of. I tried a local stout and it was great my lady had one of the mules and it fresh and citrusy and perfect for the night. I had to try the chefs board with meats ,cheeses and nuts and that was really tasty. We has the popcorn Cajun style becauseeeee yelpers its free with your check in.
