Mauerhan Plumbing is a joke and a fraud. They have been servicing our building for about 4 years now and we just changed our plumbers because we realized they had been taking advantage of our HOA. If you have an HOA - DO NOT USE them. On several occasions they even billed us for work that was NEVER actually done. They always come out with 2 plumbers for basic jobs and charge 2 times more than any other local plumber. Do you really need to bring out 2 plumbers and charge for 2 hours of "work" to snake a toilet ??? SERIOUSLY !!!! Hard Pass! read more

Super expensive. They never diagnosed the problem I was having with my electric water heater. They changed a valve and told me if it doesn't work to change the shower head which I did after what they did didn't work. When I called them back they told me they were going to charge me for a return visit. I eventually had the problem diagnosed and turned out to be a faulty unit. Expensive lesson learned. read more

Not great experience over the course of our experiences. They do not give a guarantee for their work. Today, about 8 months after installation a dishwasher, our air gap gushed water and flooded. In addition to their technician incorrectly installing our dishwasher he also shorted out our GFC outlet while working. When I told him I used it moments before his arrival to turn on our garbage disposal he argued with me and said it was not his fault. We will not be employing their services again. read more

You learn how good a plumber is when the job isn't simple. We had a thermostatic shower cartridge that failed. When Juan from Mauerhan opened it up, it turned out that the old cartridge had sheared off and more than half was frozen inside. The solution on the factory website looked iffy and required overnight soaking in vinegar. In just a couple of hours, Juan was able to remove the old cartridge using a mini Sawzall without damaging the valve casing. He installed the replacement cartridge and the shower works great. Saved us a big hassle and a lot of money! Really skilled craftmanship! A truly professional job. read more

We had a gas leak in Mom's rental house in the next county and the service was turned off. I called Mauerhan and spoke to Shannon. She explained the services clearly and in detail. They were able to send out a team the very next day! She called me first thing in the morning and kept me up to date during the process of finding and repairing all the leaks. The gas was turned on that afternoon, so i was very pleased with the entire process being resolved in a 24-hr window. I would highly recommend them. read more

What company !!! 5* Bruce found the leak that avaded other plumbers and then his guys took care of it . What a job it was not so easy and there were several complications and perimeters that had to be met, Eddie & john got it down. What great guys you have working for you Bruce. Worse service ever. Be very careful not only are they extremely expensive but they also lie about their rates. Worst work ethics. DO NOT HIRE. I woke up with water under the sink, and related anxiety. Having worked with Mauerhan once before, I decided to call them again. They were booked for the day, but said they'd try to get someone there "tomorrow - today if we can." They could. Ron arrived in mid-afternoon, diagnosed the situation, made a few calls back to the shop to see if they had a new faucet in stock, had it delivered and installed by the end of the day. And brought it in at the price promised. In addition to being easy to work with, Ron was quick and efficient, and provided useful information regarding potential trouble spots in the future. l had used this company for a while now, but recently l had a leak and as usual l called this company hopefully they will find the leak. the first plumber that came spend almost an hour and half, cut two holes and couldn't find. and he said l don't know where the leak is and left. l got charged $187 For nothing. I had the leak again 2 months later and l called them again, they sent 2 , they couldn't figure it out until l told them may be it is the toilet and that is is when they to look further and they found it after cutting two more holes in the ceiling. Then they said this is an association problem. After all this without fixing anything l got charge $645 for nothing. They contacted the association and the association send someone and was here for for less than 5 minutes and informed me that this is my problem and l have to fix and l got charged by the association $150. All together l spent almost $1000 for NOTHING l still have the problem and 4 holes in the ceiling. Never again would l use them or recommend them. read more

Nevertheless, I was very happy with the actual work, which included fixing a leaky exterior supply pipe and a meekly flushing toilet. My technician, Ron, was friendly, engaged, and patiently answered the many layman questions I threw his way. Getting an estimate ahead of time seems like a good idea. He came out to unclog our main line but proceeded to break the snake in the mainline. We were without plumbing for 5 days. Another guy came out the next day and could not fix it and abandon it. We had to pay someone else who easily took out the snake. Mauerhan Plumbing has sent us bills for something they never fixed and their verbal quote was not what they billed us. They billed us more. They have caused more of a headache than solving our problem. read more

I couldn't be happier! The problem was my hot water heater. Bruce came on Friday to inspect my old heater and was able to apply a temporary fix to stop its vibrating when the gas came on. We called Mauerhan and they arrived right on time the next morning. They were efficient, polite and kept us informed of everything they were doing.
