Would highly recommend this place. Family friendly adventure awaits. Don't miss the opportunity to see a side of Maui rarely seen.

All the guides are amazing. They match you up with a horse that fits your experience. They are super strict on the 215 weight limit. We had Sierra and maybe Cole (don't remember the name) as our tour guides. They connected well with us and shared their own personal experiences. The animals on the farm were well cared for and trained. The horses are only allowed to go on one tour a day which is better compared to some companies. Bring sunglasses and shoes you don't care about because you will be covered in dust!

Riley and Stetson rock! I did the ATV tour while my girlfriend did the horse tour, you get to ride real trails and open it up a bit if you're feeling confident or have ridden atvs/moto before. The views were sick and they gave good explainers at the culture of Maui and what we were looking at. Expect some dust and some real off road trails with rocks and ruts. The drive in is fine, we did it in a mustang and had no issues.

Maui Mountain Activities was worth every single penny and an absolute dream experience--one that my entire family loved from start to finish! If you're looking for a breathtaking horseback ride with unforgettable views, this is it. My party of 7 had age ranges of 14-54 and this adventure had something for everyone. The two hour ride took us through lush green landscapes, rolling hills, and eventually opened up to a stunning coastal view that felt straight out of a movie. The guides were incredibly kind, patient, and made sure everyone--from first-timers to experienced riders--felt comfortable. The horses were well-trained and well-cared for, and they matched each rider with a horse that fit their experience level. This included those who were very nervous around the horses--I thought it was fantastic that they made sure to ask that question! There were two in our party who started out nervous but they didn't end that way. It was relaxing, scenic, and just the right amount of adventure. One important note: the weight limit is strictly enforced, and they will weigh you upon arrival for the safety of their horses navigating up and down the mountains. And I see why! These horses were carrying a lot on their backs down some pretty steep trails. There were so many other cool animals on the ranch as well--peacocks, pigs, I counted at least 13 cats, sheep and goats. By the end, my whole family was raving about how much fun we had. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I would 100% do it again.

This was truly an incredible experience. The horses are very well trained and the staff is awsome. Would recommend this to anyone!! Amazing views!

We had Kai and Cierra as our guides for this horseback ride and they were so friendly, kind and professional. They made us feel so safe and comfortable on our horses. Constantly checking on us to make sure our saddles and stir-ups were comfortable. They were also kind enough to recommend some good restaurants on the island which we tried and loved. They also took great photos! Will definitely be booking them again on our next trip!

First off was the drive- we were staying in Wailea and had about a 40 minute drive to the meetup location. We had to go back by the airport and then go up into the hills- GREAT drive- enjoy the scenery and give yourself an extra 10 minutes to look around. The ATVs were on a family farm and there were horses and pigs- kinda funny watching the pigs interact with the horses. The ATVs were great- be prepared for using some arms muscles at times when the trails get really bumpy- don't feel bad if you go slowly as they'll separate the experienced riders. BEAUTIFUL mountain waterfall views- mesmerizing and pristine. Ocean views were also incredible and take some time to just hang and look around.....trails were really fun and this was more fun than surfing lessons and fishing charter....YOU WILL GET DIRTY- it did come out in the wash tho...

We were there today and went horseback riding. Holy cow, what an experience. The entire staff was awesome. Our guides, Cole and Cierra, were amazing. Amazing views, learned some Maui history, got to pet some cats, goats, sheep, deer. By far, one of my best experiences. Much love to Cliff and Grandpa Joe!!

Wow. The views, the animals! Loved the animals. Pet a deer, even stole a kiss! Horses. Goats. Sheep. Pigs. Peacocks. Chickens. Cats. Lots of cats. Driving the ATV was great fun. Went all the way up to the sacred burial ground where kings and queens were buried. So gorgeous. Then all the way down to the ocean. Sarah was great and knowledgeable. Great fun. Either buy a face mask or bring one. It's so dusty!!! You will get very dirty!!!! Have fun! Awesome experience!

we had an absolute blast on our trail ride with Cole and Kai. they were awesome, the views were gorgeous and it was well worth what we paid for it! an experience to remember and absolutely come back for. i really appreciated that they let me ride a guide's horse because they didn't want to put me on a beginner horse with my riding experience and it made the experience that much more special. they took great care of their horses and you can really tell they love what they do. thank you guys so much! will be back next time we get the blessing to be on Maui and don't forget to give Oinky Boinky some gooood belly rubs!!!

Was an exciting and fun filled time, especially the "free for all" runs! Beautiful views and history of the island provided by our guides was a nice touch. Will return next visit to Maui...

This is a must for people who love the outdoors and want so see Maui. Our guides were awesome and they gave a great tour of the mountains and the sea as well as a quick bite of some lilikoi they had on the ranch. Cool animals to hang with at the ranch as well. Can't wait to try the horseback tour.

We didn't use the shower or toilet as it seemed too much hassle when there is ocean and toilets everywhere. We used the kitchen and stove every day and it worked like a charm, very convenient. Just be aware it warms up the inside significantly, so leave enough time to air it out. The bug netting for all windows helped a lot, and we typically slept with the door and windows open. The bed is pretty decent, I was not able to fully stretch out (5'11") but ot was close. We got a solid 6-8hours every night and were not sore or cramped afterwards. It drives great, we did not have any trouble even on the road to Hana and beyond. Gas mileage: 9.5 mpg averaged. The van is on the big side for the road to Hana and beyond, but we did it without any issues, including the offroad parts. Just be mindful of the narrow parts and be ready to backup when needed if you encounter oncoming traffic at the wrong spots. We had a close challenge only once, when we were parked on a very steep hill and the downhill clearance to the next car was only 2 ft. In reverse the van slipped too much forward and nearly hit the car in front, and we needed to use the hand brake to reverse without going forward. Just be aware, this thing is heavy. Would definitely recommend and pick over the smaller vans or rooftop Jeeps you see everywhere.

From the moment we sent our first inquiry to Adam to the final text when we dropped the van at the airport, it was a wonderful and easy experience. We opted for the airport pickup and late airport drop off and it was super easy. Adam met us at the airport, showed us the ropes and then we were off on our 6 day adventure. Tips: Rent the fridge - worth it. Stay in Haleakala National Park. We did and the went on shopping excursions in Hana (very close) for ice, etc. Your pass to this park lets you stay for 3 nights! And, you get access to the hike and 7 sacred pools. Waianapanapa State Park is very beautiful, but BOOK YOUR CAMPER SPACE WELL IN ADVANCE. There is no cell service and you have to show them your reservation. Either print it out before hand or you can take a screen shot of your reservation to show them. Past Makena Beach on the South side of the island is a little stop off and we stayed there overnight. Sunset city!! Camp Olowalu - this camp is a little pricey, but it has HOT SHOWERS and a very cool vibe. The camper location fills up quick and we were lucky to get a same-day reservation...try and book in advance. You can snorkel at their beach and its close to Lahaina. Make sure you stop off at Kahanu Garden - it is a magical spot. Stop at all the little fruit stand people place out in front of their houses - delish and local. Koki Beach is beautiful - be careful of the surf there and eat all the chicken and ribs you can. Get the macaroni/potato salad! All the Maui State Parks are a NO GO for Camping. You should also know that you can contact Vanlife Maui (and Adam) throughout your stay and they are super helpful. Keep an open mind, a friendly smile and your sense of adventure and you will LOVE booking your next #VANLIFEMAUI adventure!

Sean and Anna at Camp Maui X made Maui and all it had to offer happen for us even the day after the worst series of storms the island had seen in years. They had our vehicle fully stocked and ready to go as mud was being plowed out of their neighborhood. We'd never used a tent top rig before but after a practice run with Sean, we took off to the grocery store, stocked our cooler and had the time of our lives. ....In case you're wondering, we're not "young" people at 45 & 60, that can sleep anywhere, so I have to admit, I was a little worried about the comfort factor of sleeping on top of a car for 9 days. Truly, we had no need to worry. The tent floor is a super thick and comfortable, queen-sized, memory foam pad. It was a pretty sweet place to lie down every night! Having our sleeping quarters on top of our rental car meant we could pop up at night whenever we were done for the day and then skeedaddle in the morning for our early plans. Due to the destruction on the island from the storm, we were able to change our plans on the fly and stay on the south side of the island where the waters were calmer and clearer. We weren't nailed into a condo or hotel somewhere where the conditions were trashed. We had a few nights reserved at Camp Olowalu for our 9 days but went ahead and made that our base camp. They have hot showers and a view from the beach to die for right on top of a gorgeous snorkeling reef. Sean & Anna checked in with us through the week, letting us know they were there if we needed them and answering questions. We were so busy having the time of our lives that I think they thought we were "dead in a ditch" somewhere....whale watching in Lahaina, snorkeling spot after spot off the side of the road, SCUBA diving at Mala & airport, paddling an outrigger off Makena, doing a massage training in Makawau and kayaking to Molikini. Having all the gear in the Xterra was so easy!!!! We loved it! Camp Maui X!!!!! You rock! Thank you!!!!
