Had the best adventure with an amazing zipline team yesterday! Lawson, Morgan, and Justin couldn't have done a better job keeping us entertained as well as safe throughout the tour (thank you, Morgan!!!). Would highly recommend this place to anyone going to Maui! Spectacular views.

This is AWESOME!!! So fun, safe and everything explained so well. Highly recommend. I did it on my 57 birthday. Olivia, Gavin and Brandin took great care of us. Please support them. PS - we went to Captain Jacks. lol

So much fun and well worth it! Beautiful Mountain views. Our guides were amazing! The only Other time I've been zip lining is when in Costa Rica and this definitely compares!

    Some recommendations for local food!

When in Maui, you must take a tour with Kapalua zip lines. I had the pleasure of doing the six line course on a beautiful sunny, although windy, day. I arrived feeling a little nervous but excited to be able to fly through the sky. Our guides were Dylan, Jake (in training) and Max as the catcher. We piled into a van that brought us up to the course. It is a very bumpy ride so please be aware of that. We arrived at the course and at the top of a large hill with a gorgeous view of Maui, Molokai and Lanai. We were given a safety rundown and fitted for for our zip line gear. We were told what to do and what certain hand signals meant while we were flying through the air. My girlfriend was very nervous and she was told that there was no drop feeling like a roller coaster but rather there's speed and landing is very loud because of the springs. I appreciated that we were told what to expect. My favorite zipline was the longest one at 2300 ft. My eyes were tearing up because of how fast we were going and the views were absolutely gorgeous. Dylan said you can get up to 70mph on that line! The feeling you get from flying through the air in the trees with the ocean in the background is unreal. My girlfriend had a GoPro strap to her chest and rewatching the videos of the zipline is such a treat. They also snap pictures for you on a digital camera and you have the option of buying the package if you want that too. I liked the touch of having music at the landing spot. It kept a relaxing and fun vibe going. They also have a shaded space and water with cups at each landing spot. If you have a large group it could take a long time waiting but I do like that two people go at once so it's less of a waiting game. We did have one girl that was a little too scared to do the zip lines and the staff were very kind and professional with her and they brought her back to where we started to wait for our return. Dylan, Max and Jake were all excellent guides, providing a safe space for all of us and keeping the good vibes running high. I will absolutely be back!

Awesome experience! Our tour guide (I believe his name was Ryan) was amazing, he was so knowledgeable and funny that it made the experience that much better. Absolutely beautiful views and their whole team worked together so well, it was a great experience.

Wowowow. This was my first time zip lining and I had the best time of my life. The scenery is breathtaking. One of the lines heads towards the waters and it was beautiful!! Hugeeeeee shoutout to Natalie, Lawson, and Remy!! Natalie has an amazing personality that made us laaauughh along all day. Definitely book this experience for a fun adventure!!!

Awesome zipline tour. Must do the 6 lines. Definitely felt safe the entire time which is obviously important. First line was kind of a warm up and then after an ATV ride up further into the jungle we did the longest line of the day which had us flying fast over a valley in the rain forest. During an extremely raining week with the Kona low hitting this was the highlight of the trip. A few water falls as well due to the rain.

View from the longest line on the course.

Other ziplining experiences don't even come close to this one. Five stars across the board! I couldn't have asked for a better end to our vacation. Some of the highlights were... -Ryan and Owen, our guides. They were entertaining, educational, made us feel safe, and brought great vibes to the whole thing. -The views were incredible. Everywhere you looked was breathtaking. -Ziplining was exhilarating. The harnesses were comfortable, the lines were long enough to give you time to take it all in, and flying through the air alongside my wife was such a great experience. Worth every penny, and I'd seriously recommend Kapalua Ziplines to anyone visiting Maui.

As a first time zip liner, I have to say, it was an absolutely incredible experience!! The front counter staff were really nice and explained things thoroughly. My instructor, Kyle, was super personable & engaging. We had a very small group, so we really got to know each other. Everyone was supportive of me, the zip line newbie. Max, our "catcher," always asked how I was, after every line we rode...and patient with me as I figured out the rules to slow down. The van ride up was an experience in itself! Be ready for the bumpiest ride...along with the fastest, bumpiest ATV ride ever!!! Uncle George's "bad dad" jokes at the end were the cherry on top for the day! I conquered my fear of heights and left feeling empowered to do more adventurous activities! Definitely don't leave Maui without this experience!

We did the 6 line adventure today. Our adventure guides were Brie and James. The adventure itself was a blast, but these two made even more fun and personal! The adventure includes 6 lines, the longest one being 2800 feet. The last one is steep enough that the heavier a person is (me at 230), the faster you go. I was hitting speeds of close to 60mph. The equipment is state of the art, and I never felt ill at ease! I highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Maui. As for me, I can't wait to do it again!

Just wondering if you have to wear everything including equipment when weighing? Also how strict with weight. My dad is 242 right now with clothes on but figure some scales differ + vacation weight.

You do not wear the equipment when weighing in. My husband was very close or slightly over the 250 lb limit and he had no problem making it. I was worried for weeks that he would be declined on going but was not an issue.

I was just wondering how the weighing process before you actually zipline goes..do they weigh you in front of everyone or is it pretty private and discreet? Thank you

There is a scale at the right side of the counter. It does not face the lobby. It will be just you and whoever is manning the office that day. It's usually a female. Everybody will be busy on the tablets set up around the room to sign the waivers.… Read more

We have taken three of their "Morning Walks" with our grandkids and it's a perfect introduction to hiking. Honestly we've had three different ...wonderful.. experiences. It's not strenuous and you're taken back to some private land that you'd not have access to if you just drove up and parked (if you found a parking spot) and hiked back in. We were lucky to have the lovely, fun, and knowledgeable guide named Randolyn ..aka Ran. She was the perfect blend of kind, patient and engaging with the grandkids, and very helpful with us old folks! On the drive on the way home she advised a few newbies to the island where some great places to eat were... they greatly appreciated her ideas! She had the most pleasant demeanor.... :) If you want a fun morning walk, call Hike Maui

Brian was just soo fun, and soo informative. He balanced all our interests absolutely wonderfully, it was just amazing. The kid was thrilled with the his dino costume (Oh my god! the costume, he wore it on the Entire trip except when jumping off the rocks ofcourse), the adult in the other group with all the geological tectonics knowledge that flowed like an uninterrupted volcano from his mouth...non stop, and me with all the native plant life info. The Hala tree amazed me and so did the big red flower- torch ginger, which actually looks like a vibrant staff fit for a king. I would never have learnt about them in detail if not for this trip. All this besides the actual trip to the waterfalls, the encouragement he gave to the other group was astounding (I don't swim myself unfortunately, or the fun would have tripled for me). He supported, guided, advised, and made them have the time of their life with the diving and the swimming. Three cheers to the B.Rex. Hike Maui site itself had useful info for the walk and I brought the water shoes after reading about it on their site, it really worked great out there. Pick up was right on time and the directions were pretty clear, but u could have mentioned near Kahului Park and Ride, I mistook the 8 min drive for 8 min walk, and walked up from my hotel ! Hike Maui arranged for backpacks and that was very useful too. To just it throw it on our shoulders and walk freely. The little snacks were good after the walk. The best part was the passion fruit which was handed out as a parting gift. It was my first time to eat that fruit too. Note: The waterfalls are accessible privately with rental car too. You could explore the area in your own sweet time. But I did notice there were not many signs with specific directions inside the forest. And no labels on the plants. Most places no mobile signals either. That said, you could do it on your own. I cannot say enough about this trip. It is for all ages and a great little Maui to explore comfortably. PS: Hope Brian wins the Halloween costume contest today ( 31st Oct 2025)

Our first trip…read moreout was an adults-only family excursion while the kids hung out with their grandma and auntie. The catamaran was pretty sweet, with some really comfy bean bags overlooking the edge out to the ocean. While we did occasionally get splashed in this area, it was worth the unobstructed view of the sunset and the breeze in my hair. The crew was especially sweet and treated all of us like absolute royalty. A note to those who are prone to motion sickness: do not try to be brave and only wear sea bands thinking you'll be okay. Take your Dramamine an hour before you board the catamaran. While the first half of our dinner cruise was fine with my motion sickness, the second half of the trip left me feeling really queasy around dinner service time. This made me very sad. This was no fault of the crew, and 100% my fault for thinking I could tough it out. If you are ill-prepared, the crew has ginger ale, club soda and ginger chews to help. Speaking of dinner, the few bites I was able to eat on our first trip were fantastic: a full dinner buffet prepared by Cafe Jai. The salmon was perfectly tender, as was the short rib. The caesar salad was just the right amount of tangy (and the extra dressing was really great on the salmon as well.) I'm not sure what kind of sauce was on the crispy seasoned potatoes but they were absolutely delightful. And of course, the crown on top of a delicious meal was the mini brownie cup we were served for dessert before we wrapped up the trip. Our second trip (where I was prepared with some Dramamine) was a memorial for our grandparents, where we released their cremains at sea with eco-urns. I must say that the crew handled everything wonderfully. We had the full bar, another beautiful buffet spread including some delicious crispy chicken, a pesto pasta salad, pulled beef sliders, and rolls. After we said our emotional goodbyes, we were given rose petals to release into the ocean. We even received certificates after the trip that gave us the coordinates of where my grandparents cremains were released. I seriously cannot thank Sea Maui enough for giving my family a truly memorable experience on our trip to Maui. They made our trip so special. A million thanks for the kindness!

The Irish gentleman who pre-briefed us before leaving for the tour had a great sense of humor and set the tone for our excursion. Once aboard, the Captain and his crew were polite, cordial, fun loving and efficient. The food was great and the crew busied theirselves insuring everyone was comfortable, had drinks and the proper snorkeling gear. We saw many, many whales and at least 12 displays of whales big and small leaping out of the water. The hour long snorkeling provided the passengers with a myriad of tropical fish and sea turtles. We even had one try to climb the ladder into the boat. The fees for the excursion were fair and we definitely got our moneys worth for all we saw and participated in. I highly recommend The Sea Maui if you are looking for a great experience for you and your family or tour group.

We stopped by Boss Frog's in Napili and ended up working with Victoria, who completely made our Maui experience better. Super friendly from the first minute, but what really stood out was how knowledgeable she was about the island--not just the usual "tourist stuff," but real local insight. She helped us get everything set up for a snorkeling day with our 5-year-old (which is not always easy). Took the time to properly fit all the gear, made sure our kid was comfortable and confident, and explained everything in a way that actually made us feel relaxed about it. No rushing, no pressure--just genuinely trying to make sure we had a great time. What impressed me most was how much she went above and beyond. She helped us organize pretty much the whole day--snorkeling, a submarine trip, even gave us great lunch and shopping recommendations. And this wasn't in a "salesy" way at all. In fact, some of the best tips she gave had nothing to do with buying anything from them. She also did exactly what she said she would--followed up, communicated clearly, and everything was on time and as promised. That kind of reliability is underrated, especially when you're on vacation with a kid. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and wants people to have a great experience. It never felt pushy or transactional, which is honestly rare these days. If you're in Maui, go to the Napili location and hope you get lucky enough to work with Victoria. Total game changer for our trip.
