The whole process to rent motorcycles with my dad went very smoothly. The main reason I chose this…read moreshop over any of the other place is because this shop is owned by a real rider and not just some corporation that could care less about the safety of their customers (like Eagle Rider). And it was apparent from the start seeing as Errol had a selection of gear, including jackets, gloves, and full face helmets, whereas the other rental places didn't have anything other than half helmets. We also rented out a phone holder for navigation, so by the time we left we were entirely set. I do wish I brought my motorcycle boots from home, though but I took the risk. Apart from having real motorcycle gear, their motorcycles were also in good condition. My dad and I rented an MT07 and a Duke 390, respectfully, and they worked basically flawlessly. Other than a small issue I had with my Duke 390 (that was QUICKLY fixed by Errol). I own a nice MT07 at home and my dad was raving more about this rental MT07 than mine. Errol is incredibly easy to work with and he's a true rider. He gave us awesome suggestions for rides and it was an awesome and unforgettable ride. I absolutely would recommend his shop for rental motorcycles, especially if you care about your head and skin. Everything seems to be very well thought out and I'm glad I went with him for our experience. The price also very reasonable. Note about personal Eagle Rider experience: My brother rented an MT07 from Eagle Rider and it was garbage, to put it lightly. Fork seals were leaking, tire pressure was low, and it overall was rusted and looked to be in terrible shape. I regret not looking over the bike for my brother myself before he rented it but that's another lesson learned. Thankfully Errol cleaned off the oil the best he could on a bike he didn't even own, cleaned the front tire of oil, and set the tire pressure properly. Not much he could do about the leaky forks, but I know he NEVER would have let a bike go out in that shape. I would not recommend the other rental company Eagle Rider whatsoever.

We took the west Maui loop clockwise, and it was an enjoyable experience. The weather held out even with some overcast, and we were lucky to have minimal traffic. They kept the group laughing from start to finish, and I was having so much fun that I thought we were almost done, only to find out we were just halfway through. I also appreciated the little touches of aloha, like learning about the native plants along the way. After the tour, I had lunch in Paia and still made it to an afternoon snorkel trip on the Mololo before returning to Lahaina by 5 p.m. Tip: Use the driving directions in the confirmation email and remember that check-in starts 30 minutes before your tour time.

As promised, he found an octopus and put on a show with it (humanely, of course). We saw tons of tropical fish too. The scooters themselves are an absolute blast. We were swimming with SO. MANY. TURTLES. (Apparently if you go in the winter season, you'd see a lot of whales!)! I know there are other "turtle town spots around the island, and we've been to a "turtle town". But the sheer amount of turtles you will see here is unparalleled. Our guides Derek and Robbie were awesome: 1. They took so many photos of us - diving under waters to capture the turtles and us, took 200+ photos and 40 videos and was constantly in the water looking out for turtles. 2. They are also such great swimmers and made me feel at ease given that I'm fairly new to snorkeling. At some point I lost one of my fins and started panicking, but Derek swiftly recovered the lost fin! We also capsized at some point, but with Robbie's calm instructions, we quickly made it back to the kayak. Whew! 3. We also heard several interesting stories and facts about the history of the islands around. Overall, this is absolutely a can-not-miss tour in Maui and we can't wait to be back for the whale season!
