First time going with a friend. I ordered the Bene and he ordered the Frenchy. We were on the same ticket. My food came out first and the server stated that his would be out shortly. He had also ordered a bloody Mary which had not come out yet. It took 10 more minutes for his bloody Mary to come out, and then we had to ask multiple people repeatedly about his food. Needless to say he finally got his food after waiting over 30 minutes. We were not offered a refund. The Bene was OK- nothing special, not much flavor and very salty. Won't be returning. read more

We heard good things about Maverick biscuit on Wade Hampton and decided to give it a try! We arrived around 8:30 AM on a Sunday morning and, given our previous experiences at the other biscuit places downtown, were worried there might be a long wait. However, we easily found parking and walked right in! There were several groups eating in the restaurant, but no line at the counter, so we ordered immediately and found a seat on their patio. After being seated for only about 5 minutes, our food quickly arrived and man was it good! We ordered the Nash, the Orange Walk, and hash brown cakes. The biscuits were wonderfully fluffy, and not too heavy. The chicken was crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside, and eggs were cooked to perfection! The sauces were perfect compliments to everything as well! We absolutely will be back-- food was great and it definitely beats the wait time at other similar places in town. Next time I may have to try one of the sweeter options on the menu or even just a plain biscuit, as they also have a jam and butter bar that looked tasty! WOW. It was our first time here. We were visiting while playing a couple hockey games at a rink nearby. Tried this place for the first time with a bridal party I was part of while getting ready for the wedding. All of us were thoroughly disgusted with the taste of the food. Listen guys...I was so discouraged when I got to maverick biscuit because I forgot my stupid wallet. I went in anyway hoping they would accept Apple Pay. I stopped by and went to the drive thru to get lunch. I thought if this tastes like that breakfast I had before then this burger is going to be great.
