Chicken fried steak, Mac and cheese, collards, chocolate cake, and cornbread.

Great food, great service! The restaurant is clean, and the staff are wonderful! Our meal was hit, fresh and very well seasoned. I love the meat and three style of the restraint and would recommend to anyone! I had the chicken fried steak, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. Everything was fantastic!!

Longtime local diner and their food and staff show the love for the community! I had the breakfast special (and I added a pancake!). Great family atmosphere in the restaurant.

Food was very good!! Nice restaurant. I loved the dessert, chocolate delight. Will definitely eat here again. Prices are reasonable too.

As always found this joint with Yelp and was not disappointed. Went on Saturday morning so not crowded. Fried chicken was crispy fried on outside and moist inside. Macaroni and cheese was as good as I have ever had. Next trip down to this area will find me back here!!

    Thank you!!!

Great food. Only issue is it's closed on Saturdays. Hidden gem in Pendleton. Food is always fresh and delicious with great customer service.

There is so much space in the front with cornhole boards or just to hang out. When we walked In I could tell this was going to be amazing BBQ. Writing on the walls and chairs, menus board hanging on the wall and daily specials written on chalk boards. Or orders were quickly taken by a very efficient hostess the. We grabbed a seat. I ordered brisket and pork with collards and cobbler. My wife ordered the same with the grits and my son had the side of Mac and cheese with his brisket. The brisket slices were think and it was really well cooked. The pork was awesome but the sides were out of this world. Every single one of them was perfect. There were four BBQ sauces to choose from, Eastern NC style, hot, mild and mustard. I am not a huge fan of mustard BBQ (I'm from NC, IYKYK) but I'll say this was the best I had. The hot was my favorite and it had just the right amount of heat. For those that may be concerned about the description of the writing on the walls and divey spot don't be. The place was clean and very nice. The health rating was great and it was a really nice place.

Unfortunately Rick Erwin's missed the mark on its primary assignment. The restaurant is nicely decorated in the style of a steakhouse. Dark wood paneling and shutters adorn the walls with pleasant dim lighting shining down from above. Service was strong with a team serving our table. We were greeted immediately and offered water and a drink. However, we were not offered bread, which is unusual for a steakhouse. Our appetizer of Buffalo Cauliflower was just ok. The breading had a subtle after-taste, which may have been from the batter being undercooked. And the buffalo sauce was not very prominent. So the dish was not as strong as I would have wanted. For our main course, we ordered the porterhouse for two--the signature dish at any steakhouse. Unfortunately, it fell short. When the steak arrived, it lacked the expected presentation; it had been grilled rather than broiled and was served without the usual butter or sizzling finish. That missing sizzle wasn't just visual--it showed in the flavor. A proper porterhouse should have a rich, salty, buttery finish, but this one was surprisingly bland. Just as disappointing, instead of being presented as the centerpiece of the table, the steak was served on a plate that we were apparently expected to eat directly from. It felt odd and took away from what should have been a standout experience. Overall, this was a below average experience for a steakhouse. We will try it again down the road since the choices near Clemson are limited. But Rick Erwin's should really revisit what it is trying to be and then decide how to be that.
