Horrible customer service support ! Tires needed to be replaced even though they are still under manufacture warranty! The best they will do is prorate the tires with original warranty. Needed 2 tires replaced and worked with Heather, Anthony and Pat. They were all exceptional, Anthony was very helpful with getting me in contact with who I needed to speak with in a timely fashion, Heather heard the situation showed sympathy and was able to provide a coupon when asked - she was very thoughtful and helped me with a great rate. Pat was definitely an all star, he followed up regularly with updates and was very personable. He made sure that I understood all the fees and services that were being done to my car. Dropped my car off at 8:50 AM, picked up my car by 1:50 PM, so super fast turn around. All in all, great experience with Mavis today and would absolutely recommend! I needed an alignment on my truck after replacing steering rack and they told me that the frame was crooked and needed to be replaced and that I might need a new truck. I went to Dimension Auto repair and they fixed the alignment in half an hour. Mavis has no idea what they're doing and will tell you your cars totaled when it needs a simple adjustment. My brand new vehicle was losing air in a tire. My usual location couldn't get me in. Called Flanders Mavis location. Josh said I could bring my Venue in at noon. I got there at noon & they took me immediately...no waiting, no delays. Happily, they were able to remove a nail (grrr..) & repair the tire! I brought my car in to have the Mavis Team remove my summer wheels and tires and to install my winter/snow wheels and tires. This is an easy swap - essentially a wheel rotation, as I have my winter/snow tires mounted on dedicated rims. I left my car for a few hours instead of waiting at the shop. When I returned, my winter wheels had been installed, and the summer wheels were inside the care inside bags to protect the car interior. I worked with Vincent and Ahmed, and they were very professional. I highly recommend the Mavis Flanders location for car tires and wheels. read more

I made a appointment for my car on Monday for Tuesday service 4 tires and a front end alignment parked the car at 9 am I called at 330 pm was told my car was next to go in I called again at 530 pm was told going in soon I called again at 610 pm and was told it's almost done I drive from buddlake to Flanders and the car is ready long story short they had the car for 9 hours so why book an appointment and was told as I was paying the front end alignment couldn't be done because it needed parts why not call and inform me I really don't think I will be going back to them will look for another repair shop to finish the repair read more

My engine hood latch had gotten stuck. They couldn't take me right away, so I agreed to be scheduled for 2 hours later. I was panicking because my car uses a lot of oil and I needed to check the level. When I came for my appointment, "John" asked if he could walk out with me to the car and check the latch. Somehow, he managed to open the latch and proceeded to spray some rust solvent/lubricant on the latch mechanism.... for no charge! Saved my life!!! So happy!!! read more

This brand new established branch of Mavis tire suffers from a lack of professionalism and decency for an affluent communtiy such as a Mount Olive Township. Not only does this particular location lack skills for customer interaction, they failed miserably at taking care of my tire issues. The manager came to a conclusion that my 2018 BMW X3 needed a brand new tire, without even coming outside and doing any kind of inspection. Furthermore, although I have a serious flat, and lost all air pressure; there was no physical Damage to the Bmw nor the wheel. My only conclusion is this particular Mavis tire mistook me for a novice, and tried to invoice me thinking I was just going to handover a blank check. They are horrible. I arrived at 8am and had varying services done to my Jeep and was done no later than 10am. Vincent was AMAZING. Knowledgeable, comparative and patient service all around. He even went so far as to carefully show me where my vehicle needed the work. So glad I found a great car care location so close to home. I will definitely recommend this store. read more

if i could give zero stars i would. I came to the mavis on rt. 206 in Flanders because i got a flat and needed a tire replaced. Now prior to this flat i had zero issues with my car. Now some fat guy claiming to be the general manager of the shop pulls me to the side to tell me that my entire suspension is shot, and that i should just replace all 4. He tells me its gonna cost anywhere from $2500-$3000, and they would need to hold my car for at least a week. I instantly said" F that just put my tire on". I leave and go to my normal machinic , and have him look at my car , and he said " your suspension is fine but it looks like someone loosened your rear suspension". Now I'm not accusing this mavis of anything because i cant prove it but if i went in there with no other issues other than a flat and suddenly after they touch my car its suddenly starting to fall apart it seems a little suspect. The fat guy was also rude, i was trying to have a conversation with the guy working on my car about my car and he wouldn't let him talk/kept interrupting him , and even the guy working on my car was giving the GM the side eye. The shop in general gives off an unprofessional feeling, and the techs ( at least the 2 that I talked to) didn't seem very knowledgeable. I personally am never going to this place ever again , and i advise anyone else to do the same, unless it's an emergency and they're the only place in the area literally GO ANYWHERE ELSE, hell I'd even go to the sketchy gas station down the street from them before I go back here. Also just a fyi the parts cost for oem suspensions parts from the dealership was gonna cost me 249 + tax for all 4 , so that means a majority of that 2.5k-3k was straight up just labor for a 2 hour job (the dealership told me it was a 2hr job). now I'm really bad at math but I think that's like $1200+ an hour in just labor. Discovered a nail in a tire mid-day and pressure was slowing decreasing. We called late in the day (on a Sunday) and the staff was more than accommodating. Pete said we could drop off the car and they would plug the tire before the day ended (for them) so we would not have to worry about going out the next day with a leak in the tire. Dan and Pete did a great job repairing the tire. Very friendly staff. They met the expectations they set and we left very happy customers. Now we can start our work week with one less thing to worry about. Highly recommend this location. read more

Amazing service! My daughter was leaving to start her long drive to GA and the battery light came on just as she was leaving town. Mavis Flanders let her bring the car right in and fixed it on the spot. This worried momma couldn't appreciate the service and staff anymore. Used to be pretty good but seem to have gone in the wrong direction. Took my car for a tune up and was told the left rear passenger side strut was broken so I went ahead and had all four struts replaced there. Come back a year later and they have a whole new group working there and they tell me the same thing....the left rear passenger side strut is broken and struts need to be replaced AGAIN. I took it elsewhere when they could not explain what was going on. Guess what....nothing wrong with the strut according to my new repair shop. read more

I went here for a new set of 4 tires. They were very backed up and underhanded. This poor guy can't find anyone to work for him. I think we all know why that is. I have never been so upset with customer service especially from the assistant manager pete who shows zero respect for his costumers not only was I told my car would be done today at noon I also dropped this car off yesterday as they had to order the tires so they told me they would be there at 11 and the car would be done around noon...now this is probably the fifth time we called for a ETA on a car that was there over 24 hours they didn't put my car up till 30 mins before they closed they had me sit there and wait with absolutely no remorse not a single sorry or explanation he spoke to my family like they weren't customers helping his store out my boyfriend has worked at this exact mavis and I know this isn't how things should be handle my father then asked for the head managers number and Pete had the audacity to point to my boyfriend and say well dosent he know him as if that is where my dad should get big vin the head managers number that is beyond unprofessional the last eta time we got for my car was 6 pm before the store closes and that they would leave the keys in the car and that's was absolutely untrue when I arrived with my father they were just putting in my filter for the oil change I will never be coming back here as my family will not be ether I will never recomemd or talk highly about mavis in flanders New Jersey also just would love to add this was all for a simple oil change and one tire change they close at 6pm it is now 6:45 when I'm writing this the last manager gabby is the last time I've seen this store running functionality read more

I was treated with the utmost respect by Gabby and the prices were fair. Had a little bit of a wait but what do you expect for a Saturday morning? Awful. I made my appointment two days prior to the service and as I arrived the rude employee stated I wasn't in there system. I needed a plug for a leak in one tire. After ten minutes of him huffing and puffing behind the counter, he asked his manager for assistance. Without looking at a computer, she throws her hands up and screeches that she doesn't have an open availability. Once he returned, I stated my frustration and began walking away when miraculously he found my original appointment. They plugged it, twenty minutes later I was out of there. The plug looked horrific, large and sloppy. Then only to my "amazement", the plug Began to leak two weeks after. Never will I return. I'd rather push my car up 206 to the Exxon, then turn into this Mavis. read more

I took it my car here for a whistling noise and right away they told me that it was my "tensioner pulley" and that it needed to be replaced ASAP. They told me it'd be 900$! I called up my local Volvo auto shop and they said (without even looking at or hearing the problem) that it was not the tensioner pulley and that all I needed was a 200$ engine vent replacement.....safe to say I'm not coming back, this is not the first time this has happened here... read more

I have been going to the Mavis in Flanders for over 2 years now. I have not a single complaint and neither have the people that I have referred there. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I started going there for tires and soon learned that they do a lot of other things as well such as brakes, exhaust repairs, radiator and even AC repair. The best part of it is that I had to go back after my AC repair. They found the issue and fixed it at no extra cost. I will continue to take my vehicles there because I can trust them. read more

A traumatizing experience.. It will be a miracle if I come back to a Mavis Discount Tire ever again. Let me explain, it all started with the extreme unprofessionalism in the store. There was a couple that was making out in the back room, which I could clearly see through the giant glass window of the lobby and then when I went to leave employees were cussing and constantly dropping the f-bomb, even calling another employee an "f-ing drug addict." However, the worst part was when I went to leave and was TOLD my service was completed. I got into my car to leave and immediately noticed something was awry.. They FORGOT to tighten the lug nuts and put the tire caps back on. How does this possibly happen??? I would think it's common sense to ensure the caps are put back on and the lug nuts are securely fastened after installing new tires?? Good thing I didn't drive away thinking everything was okay as I could've gotten into a serious accident or even killed someone walking nearby as the tires were still clearly loose.. Ended up being a 3.5 hour ordeal and I felt awful for the guy that was filling in for the store that day. He was the only one that had a clue of what was going on. Here's my story.. I was over for thanksgiving at my sisters in long valley ( I live an hour away ) my car started to leak anti freeze and even when we poured more it completely leaked out! I took it to mavis on Friday where they told me they would call me the same day and nothing! Saturday came and again nobody has reached out, it was about 11am and I called them where I asked about what they knew on my cars condition.. a man there told me that he wasn't too sure that they looked at it but we're not sure and that MAYBE I should buy a NEW CAR OR A NEW ENGINE!!!! Ridiculous!!!! He proceeded to tell me since my car had overheated that would be my best bet! First of all never did my car overheat!!! It was just leaking anti freeze! I from there told him I would have somebody tow my car back to my city of Haledon to get it fixed here. He said ok. I brought it to a gentleman here named Felix he calls me today and tells me my car is ready! The thermostat was broken! This cost me $80 now mavis told me to buy a whole new engine! I'm extremely furious for the false information and I'm almost certain they didn't even care to look at the car the correct way!! HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!! read more

I have always loved Mavis. I used to go to the one in Rockaway till I moved to Flanders. Once this new location opened up, I had high expectations since the Rockaway one is great. I got my oil changed at a separate location and wanted to have my breaks checked. When they inspected my vehicle for the breaks and any other damages, they said I had almost $1,000 worth of stuff I had to get taken care of "immediately." I obviously didn't get it all done without a second opinion so I took it to Mavis and they saved me almost half of that amount on stuff that was actually needed. I walked in and Gabby was extremely helpful and friendly. My car was dropped off on Sunday morning without an appointment and I had it back before the end of the day. I am absolutely going to come back here and would recommend this place to anyone! read more
