I called them on Tuesday evening after AAA left my house changing a tire with a screw in it. Patrick answered, as I explained my situation he immediately told me to bring it in Wednesday morning, we open at 8am. When I arrived the woman at the front desk Kadjia, (sorry about the spelling) helped me, she was professional, knowledgeable and extremely polite. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel. Patrick plugged my tire, i was in & out in 20 min. The thing that surprised me the most was that even with me giving him the option to give me a new tire, he did not try to upset me. Never gonna go to this place ever again Changing tires with alignment for 7 hours... insane The guy told me he is gonna charge me "Only Today" and "only for you" for 80$, after all my invoice was for 120$ just alignment Appointment 10am, 7 hours waiting, no call, i just show up and see that my car is outside. If i wouldn't show up, probably i would see my car on the next day... Guys is so lazy and slow The cups of tire nipples is missing...all 4 of them... The wheel cover isn't seat properly, after 1 min drive the wheel cover fell off, Jesus guys Oh forgot to tell. When i got there at 10am for appointment, they tell me its gonna be done by 1pm ish. I scheduled an online appointment to have a tire replaced on my 2023 Ford Bronco after experiencing a blowout on the turnpike. I dropped off the vehicle at the Little Falls, NJ location and informed the front desk staff that the blown-out tire was in the back of the truck. When I returned to pick up my car, I noticed that the blown-out tire was still in the back, and a different tire had been replaced instead. I was told this other tire supposedly had a screw in it and was leaking air. However, I had inspected all my tires after the blowout and there was no screw or leak--my tire pressure was normal. The staff told me to come back in an hour and that the issue would be resolved. When I returned, I found that they had patched the blowout tire and placed it in the spare position at the back, attempting to conceal the patch. When I pointed this out and said it was unacceptable, they insisted it was fine because it was holding air. In summary, your staff needlessly repaired a tire that didn't require service and patched a tire that was beyond repair. To make matters worse, I was charged $125 for a sensor, even though Ford confirmed that all five tires already come equipped with sensors. read more

if you have time to waist this is the place for you. I saw that they opened at 8am so made appointment online for 8am. Just to make sure before completing appointment I called to see how long a wheel alignment would take and rep told me if he could probably get me out within 45 min if I got there early. I arrived at 7:45 and noticed that they already had a customer and mech was working on a car. I went in and shortly after rep came out and said he can help me out in about 15min (@8am). As I waited few more customers came in. At 8am rep asked who was next, which was me and also made me the 1st person on line. Rep then tells me that it was going to take 45 min before they could even get to my car, which is hard to believe, because I was 1st person to speak to him. I ask if I could be back in 30 min and was told If I left I would lose my spot. When I reminded him I was told as long as I arrived early (remember was 1st on line) could be out in 45 min. Now and this is the kicker, he gave me what I have come to believe is the Mavis Excuse to have you wait, "someone called out sick". You see, I 1st had an appointment at the E Rutherford, NJ Mavis and so happens there, they told me it would be 2 hrs before they can get to my car because "someone called out sick"( Coincidence, dont think so) . Note: called for appointment and they told me could be out in an hour . I guess a persons word does not mean much at Mavis. i got a flat tire up the block from this shop but they were closed. An employee named Tony saw me on the side of the road and didn't hesitate to help even though he had just left work. He fixed my tire in less than 5 minutes and gave me lots of helpful advice. My boyfriend is from the area and says this tire shop has many great employees just like this. i will be coming back to little falls to get a new tire because of this. On March 29, my brakes, rotors, and shocks were replaced at this Mavis. The next day, the brakes were making noise while driving. I brought the car back in. They checked it and told me it was all normal and good. That the nose was nothing to worry about. On June 9, I brought the car back for an oil change. It was a Sunday, so I was grateful they were able to do the work. While they had my car, they called to let me know that my brakes were at 40%. I asked how that was possible given they had just been replaced in their shop, and the person (I believe the assistant manager) told me the guy working on my car was new so he must have done a faulty reading. The next morning, I noticed on my commute to work that the pan under the car was too low because I could hear it hitting and dragging any time I went over a speed bump. After work, I went back to the shop. The manager was present. He looked at the car with another guy working on it. They told me that the new guy the day before had not reinstalled the pan properly because "the clips were missing and it had been ziptied in place" when it got there. And that they had reattached it properly with zipties that day, so it would be fine. This was sketchy, but I accepted it. Everyone at the shop was very nice and had been easy to work with through both times my car was there, so I choose to trust them. I should have questioned why the clips were missing since their shop was the last one to work on the car. But I was busy trying to finish up the school year as a teacher and accepted it. In the following week, I noticed the noise from the pan again. The zipties clearly had not held. I couldn't get back to Mavis in the craziness of the last days of school and figured I would drive very slowly over speed bumps and deal with it the following week when school was over. Unfortunately, that week my parked car was hit by another vehicle. It was towed to a shop by my insurance company. When they looked at the car to do the estimate, they had to remove the pan because it was not properly attached, was hanging low, and was bent double over itself. I saw it. It was ridiculous. Insurance is not paying for the pan replacement because it's clearly not caused by the accident and was a prior issue that was likely further damaged by the tow. I now have to pay $187 on top of my deductible to have this part and the clips replaced because of an oil change at this Mavis. I will obviously not be going back there. I've also asked the shop where my car is currently being repaired to please check the brakes and rotors after they finish their repairs. Because I clearly can't trust the work this Mavis did or anything they've told me. read more

I was a woman in distress driving a long distance from home and suddenly needing a tire replacement. Didn't know whether Mavis would be able to do anything for me at 5:15 pm when they close at 6:00. The staff could not have been more helpful. They had the run-flat tire I needed for my BMW and replaced my tire in minutes while I waited. I ended up at a Mavis further away, after an awful experience in Little Falls. I say this because I initially started at Little Falls, with an appointment for 2pm. Prior day i had 2 calls confirming my appt and time. All good. I arrived at Little falls early, 1;50. The male at the desk along with 4 others all looked at me like I had 3 heads and no one said Can I help you. One finally muttered, anyone can help you, but no one offered. I finally had a voice and he was a bit dismissive as to my appt. and finding me in the system. He insisted I had a Nissan: I do not. never did. All I wanted was an oil change. OK. handed over my keys and sat and waited. at 3:15 I went out, car never moved, nothing done. i went up and asked for my keys back. The other man said, can you come back at 5. WTF? I had a 2pm appt and my car sat and sat. Keep in mind I saw 2 others come in after me, were processed, and were finished before me. This male was full of excuses, all BS, none acceptable. I called the other location while this was happening and they said come over, we can take you right away. I did that. An appoint is flexible and waiting 30 minutes is fine. Not acceptable is 90 minutes later seeing my car not move, and then being told come back AT 5. tHAT IS BEYOND ANY REASONABLE OR ACCEPTABLE DELAY. Little falls is and was for shit. A few days ago, my beloved car Charcuterie (a beautiful blue 2020 Toyota Prius Prime) ended up with a flat tire in Paramus near that horrendous Ikea area where 4 and 17 meet. Devastating, and very nippy out there - 18 degrees with the sun going down. It's interesting how cars never seem to break down when it's gorgeous out. Anyway. Up until this point, Charcuterie had functioned perfectly in all respects, so I dove headfirst into this situation completely ignorant of how reliable my auto repair options were in the area. It could have been a lot worse and much more inconvenient. Mavis is very close to where I live, so using them automatically eliminated potential additional expenses/annoyance in terms of travelling to drop off and pick up Charcuterie. They have a free air pump on the premises, which I've sometimes used in the morning when it's really cold out and the tire pressure is a bit low, but that was the extent of my experience with them. While I waited for the tow truck, I called Mavis to give them a heads up. The fellow who answered the phone was very professional and helpful, and told me they'd keep an eye out for the car, taking down my phone number to keep me in the loop for any potential updates. We were getting close to closing time (6PM), so he informed me there was a decent chance Charcuterie would have to stay the night, but that he'd be fixed up first thing in the morning. Fair enough, and a very easy process. Mavis opened the next morning at 8AM. Probably around 8:45AM, I received a call that Charcuterie was ready to go. He had a puncture likely due to a nail or something sharp from one of those god-forsaken highways in Bergen County, but he had been fixed up and looked as good as new. The tire repair cost about $26. Is that high for this type of work? No idea, but if you don't have the ability to repair and/or replace a tire on the fly (and I don't, but my new New Year's resolution is to get that rectified once this polar vortex weather leaves), then I don't think you have much of a right to complain about it. If and when this happens again, hopefully I won't have to depend on Mavis, but it's nice to know they're around and won't leave me bankrupt. read more

I literally just got "new" front wheel tires 4 days ago (6/24) and one is already flat. Who knows about the second one. I need my car for work and I work very early so I had to call out and I can't exactly go get air in my tire. There aren't any air pump stations that close to me and I don't feel like having issues on the road at 4am. The service wasn't that great either so I just told myself "they're almost done and you're almost out of here." This is NOT how I wanted to start my day and definitely NOT how I wanted to spend my day in 100 degree and humid weather. read more

I had ordered a snow blower tire that was completely detached and didn't have the tube ready or anything so I was stuck trekking around on the snowiest day of the season with the worst road conditions. They were so helpful and understanding I felt very lucky that they were able to help me with my somewhat random request! Word of advice of course: if you're ordering a tire get the specifics! Save your money and go else where. My mother purchased 4 brand new tires. For an additional charge she did the wheel balance and alignment. They claim they did it but was never done. We took it to mechanic and they said the tires were never balanced correctly. She had the tires for 3 months and the wiring was already showing on her tire after she realized the car shaking at 60mph. So my mother went there so claim the problem and the employee told her these tires don't have a warranty. Let me say warranty or not. If they didn't do the job correctly it's there fault man up to the problem. But they see a woman coming in alone and Spanish so they gave her the boot out of the store with no help and said have a good day. So Ladies be careful. I brought my Ford commercial van to have brakes and rotors done, take my van back to my shop all is well. A few days later I hear a grinding noise by the drivers side brakes. I bring the van back to Mavis to have it looked at. They said they'll call when they know what it is. They said one tech took a look and hears the grinding but doesn't know what it is. Leave it until tomorrow for a master tech to take a look. Next day comes and the master tech says he hears grinding only when turning but doesn't know what it is . Guys at the front desk says there's nothing they can do. After paying 1500 .00 for services, I was at a loss . I went to a different Mavis near my house and told them the situation and they said leave the van, they'll take a look . They have the van for 2 days. When I went to pick it up, the gentleman at the counter gives me the keys and tells you're all set. I go down the road , make a turn and more grinding . At this point , I have loss countless days running around trying to resolve this issue. At this point I have no other option but call an independent shop to take a look and see what it is. I go to shop near my store who specializes in brakes. I leave the car there and within 2 hours they call me and tell me the bolts on my caliper are loose and I have damage to the rotor, caliper,hub and brakes. I go down and take a look because I didn't believe him. Long story short, I tell the gentleman to fix the damage and now I have to do brakes to the passenger side as well. 1800.00 in damage that I have to pay out of pocket because Mavis didn't find the problem on a job they did. I'm very lucky my employees or myself were not injured in a crash this potentially would have caused. I called Mavis afterwards and they said I should have called when I found out what the problem was. What a joke. All I have to say is, be careful who you trust your cars with. I went in for their brake special and of course they want to do all brakes and rotors when my vehicle only had 19,000 miles so I agreed to do the front brakes for now. The guy gives me a song and dance about upgrading me to a better pad at no extra charge, but he has to order it after waiting for over an hour. The part came they go to start my truck another half hour later they come to tell me that the vendor sent them the wrong brake pad. Well aren't you supposed to check parts before accepting them, the workers in there we're walking around with vapes in their hands, playing loud music and dancing around the shop as if it was a disco. the manager RJ tried to apologize to me did not offer any compensation if I wanted to wait a little longer for the new pad to be delivered again not even offering to take another $20 off the bill or telling me to come back and make another reservation. I'm always skeptical of auto shops, who isn't, right?! I ended up here somewhat by accident. I was calling around for pricing and these folks were very professional and courteous. Even though they were a bit out of my way, their prices were good, they could get me in next day, and my gut instinct trusted them. I'm glad I did. While I was waiting, the manager approached another customer who was there for an alignment. He told the customer, "Just checked the alignment on your car, and it's spot on. There is no need for you to get one today." Obviously, he didn't charge him. The same manager told them, they only need to replace two tires (after another shop told them they needed all of them replaced). Lastly, he went ahead and balanced all four tires but only charged them to balance two. I was very impressed. As for me, I came in to replace two tires. I asked about replacing the other two, to which he replied that I will eventually need to, but it wasn't an immediate thing. Yes, they did advise me of shock replacement and/or fluid flushes (per maintenance spec), but there was no pressure or scare tactics involved. I can really appreciate that. I will most definitely return when I need to replace the other two tires. read more

Do not do brakes at this shop. I changed pads, rotors and calipers and they rattled for a month even though I went back twice to complain. They said there was no issue so I took it to another shop and it seems they forgot to add the shims and one of the brake lines was kinked making this dangerous to drive. Visited Mavis Little Falls, NJ in June 2023 in my 2018 Honda Accord. Brake pad installation resulted in a disturbing rattling noise. I brought the car back to Mavis a week later - they did not even drive it - or do anything, really - to diagnose the rattling - but rather put my car on a lift for two minutes and then called me over to say that pebbles in a pan under the car were causing the problem. A total charade and BS - all they cared about was getting rid of me without having to fix anything. So this morning, I took the car to Honda service, who immediately drove the car to hear the rattle, then found that the Mavis installation of the front brake pads was faulty - the pads were not installed snuggly, thus the rattling. I had Honda replace the Mavis (OEM) brake pads with Honda brake pads - so now significantly more time & money spent getting the job done. Of course, immediately after Mavis' bungled job was corrected, the rattle in my car is completely gone. I returned to Mavis for a refund on my front brake pads, which they did grant. But bottom line is this: Mavis Little Falls did shoddy work and then would not stand behind it when I returned to call out the problem. I spent about 8 hours all told on this project going back and forth to Mavis 3 times, plus back and forth to Honda to finally get it right. Mavis Little Falls: Subpar work, and totally unprofessional about fixing any problems arising from that work. You may think you're saving money with these guys, but I found out the hard way that in the end, the bill + time spent actually comes out MUCH higher. read more

Just a little FYI, AVOID MAVIS tire in Little Falls, NJ at all costs. I just got home to see that my wheels are destroyed from the installation. Unfortunately they are closed now and I can't do anything. The finish was taken off from their tire machine. I thought arguing over the original price they quoted me compared to when my wife picked it up was going to be the worst part of our experience, boy was I wrong! Dropped it off first thing in the morning and it wasn't completed until the end of the day, probably because they didn't want us to see the damage in the daylight. I got a flat tire Tuesday afternoon and I was approximately 1 hour away from my home location, Clifton NJ .I was in Monroe NJ. I reached out to a Mavis tire that was local to my location and spoke with an associate named Jose. They didn't have the tire I needed in stock. Jose also searched other locations for the tire and even the one closet to my home and no location had it in stock. So Jose was able to order the tire I needed and had it delivered to my home location store and it arrived there Thursday. I called Mavis in little falls to see if the tire arrived and it did. An associate by the name Jeff told me to come right in and I would be taken care of immediately, I was very pleased of the immediate availability and went straight there. I didn't think they or Jeff was going to put my donut/spare back to the location it goes to in my vehicle but Jeff did it. I was wowed by the service I was receiving and said that to Jeff. His reply to me was," that's what we do here. " Needless to say Mavis will have my business going forward and I would strongly recommend them to anyone needing tires and or the services they offer. read more

I brought my car to Mavis in Little falls approx two weeks ago because I started to hear metal in metal and knew I needed new brakes. I went to this location because I really needed my car for work and told me that my car would be completed that day. Well I ended up waiting for almost five hours for my car to be checked and they told me I needed new front brake pads and rotors, along with rear brake pads and a series of flushes that were unnecessary because they had been done a few months prior. I decided to have front brakes and rotors and rear brake pads and the man at the desk indicated that I did not need the flushes as he didn't know I recently had them done. Fast forward to today and my brakes are skipping and making a horrible noise. While they were working on my car (I was getting a bit antsy at being there so long) a pizza arrived for the workers. The man working on my car was eating pizza, but that didn't bother me, it was the goofing off and him pretending he was working on my car. I had a feeling I was going to get poor service but I waited patiently and my car was finally finished. The man working on my car pulled it out but proceeded to help someone else before finishing my car. After about 10 minutes of helping someone else I asked was my car finished and I was told by another employee that my car was indeed finished and needed to be test driven. Then a minute later, they said my car was ready, when it obviously was not test driven. I needed to get out of there, paid my bill and proceeded to get into my car when I noticed that there was black grease all over my interior, mostly on the steering wheel. A bit annoyed I asked the employee (not the one who worked on my car) if they had any cleaning supplies as there was grease all over the steering wheel. The man who worked on my car (and goofed off the entire time) overheard me and proceeded to get cleaner and clean my steering wheel and tell me that it wasn't a big deal and I didn't need to say anything and I should've come to him and said, here cleaner than when you brought it in. I bit my tongue and left.Now it appears my assumptions about his shoddy work have come to fruition I called Mavis and told them the story and to be fair they said please bring it in and we will take a look. I said I would, at the same time I did not want this to be another 5 hour ordeal. Graciously, the man I spoke to said they would look at the car right away but can't guarantee how long it will take without knowing the problem. It's obviously the brakes, but let's see why they say. If service is good tomorrow I will amend my review and add anything to my review at that time. I understand ppl make mistakes and I can be forgiving if this problem is rectified in a timely manner,but let's see what happens. UPDATE: After my initial above review and the Mavis response, I decided to give Mavis the opportunity to rectify the problems with my initial brake job. I spoke with the Mavis regional manager, as well as, Joseph S., Store Manager for Little Falls Mavis. Joseph S assured me they would stand behind their work and he would personally oversee the situation and potential repairs if I was willing to bring the car back in. I brought the car back and Joseph S. agreed/confirmed that something was indeed wrong with my brakes (after his test drive). They installed new parts from the previous brake job (new pads and rotors) and Joseph also found some "play" or movement in the hub and bearings. He decided to replace those as well. After the work was completed my car/brakes is now working as expected. I am glad I gave Joseph and the mechanic (not the one who previously worked on my car) the opportunity to stand behind their work. read more

Went in to Little Falls Mavis a few days ago to get 4 tires I purchased elsewhere mounted , air valves replaced, (their idea) balanced, and take away old tires. The manager, his name is Joseph, comes to me an hour later a says I need new brakes in front. Literally says to me only like 100 miles left on pads, so I took his word for it and agreed. Said I also need new windshield wiper blades , so I again said I trust you and agreed. But I said I want the old parts to confirm everything he told me. He reluctantly agreed. I get home, look at the old brake pads, and to my disbelief, I see thick, with potentially 15,000 miles left to go or more, pads that looked absolutely fine. Perfect OEM Honda parts sitting in the plastic bag he gave me. Guess what the old blades looked like? Yes. Perfectly fine. Not dry rotted. No damage. And the valves? Didn't even touch em. Didn't replace. I wonder if they balanced the wheels as well. So I went back to confront the manager. He said "Sorry. Call the 800 ,number with those complaints" PEOPLE, this place is as dishonest as it comes. STAY AWAY!!! And save the canned response for someone else. It just sounds pathetic. Beware this place is just trying to sell anything even when not needed. I had to replace four Mavis tires after just 10K miles(Warranty 50K). Rather than making good on the bad tires they wanted to sell me struts and shocks for $1000. I took the car to a authorized dealer and they only recommended 4 new tires and said the struts and shocks where fine. read more
