ZERO STARS if I could. Avoid McGuire Buick GMC's service department. I dropped my car off March 20 and did not get it back until August 24 -- over FIVE MONTHS. I originally brought it in because the transmission was slipping. They initially acted like nothing was wrong until I pushed for a ride-along. Eventually they found metal in the transmission fluid and replaced the entire transmission under warranty. Then, after the transmission repair, a power-steering code appeared and the steering rack had to be replaced. That added even more time to this nightmare. Their own final paperwork actually says "Customer states NO POWER STEERING," which is not how this happened. I never brought the vehicle back complaining about power steering -- the problem/code was discovered while the vehicle was already in their possession. The delays were horrible, but the communication and management were somehow worse. Jackie was incredibly difficult to deal with. Getting basic updates required constantly calling and chasing them. I later learned she was no longer working there. I don't know why she left, but after my experience dealing with her, I wasn't surprised. Then I dealt with Mary, the manager. I went there personally and explained how badly this was affecting me financially. Mary told me there was one person ahead of me for a loaner and that I would get it when theirs came back. I never got the loaner. Calls weren't returned. Promised callbacks didn't happen. I was repeatedly ignored and eventually stopped trusting anything I was told. At one point I was even told going somewhere else would've taken roughly five months anyway. Give me a break. Meanwhile, I had to rent vehicles myself. Just some of my rental receipts are $1,716.98, $1,391.46, $407.99, $1,394.71 and $1,383.34. That's over $6,000 right there. And because I couldn't afford to continuously rent for five months, there were periods where I simply went without a rental. All while continuing to make my car and insurance payments. After FIVE MONTHS of this, I asked them to waive the $130.47 oil change/tire rotation I had authorized when I originally brought the vehicle in -- simply as a goodwill gesture after everything I'd been put through. They wouldn't even do that. So I paid it. Every penny. We're square. I'm not writing this because I owe McGuire money or because I'm trying to get out of a bill. I'm writing it because this was easily the worst dealership experience I've ever had. Parts can be backordered. Warranty repairs can take time. There is no excuse for five months of terrible communication, broken promises, unanswered calls and making a customer constantly chase you for information about their own vehicle. I will never bring another vehicle here. I'm taking the remaining steering concerns to another GM dealership because I no longer trust this service department. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I wish I had. read more

DO NOT. I REPEAT, DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! If I could give this place ZERO stars, I absolutely would. This has been one of the most ridiculous, frustrating, and unprofessional experiences I have EVER had with a dealership. I brought my vehicle here to be serviced thinking that, you know, THEY WOULD ACTUALLY SERVICE IT. Instead, my car has been sitting there for an entire WEEK while I'm left chasing them down every single day just to get basic information about MY OWN VEHICLE. Let me make this very clear: THEY DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH YOU. Nobody calls. Nobody gives you updates. Nobody explains what's happening. If I didn't call every single day asking what was going on, I would have absolutely no idea what was happening with my car. And the excuse I keep getting is that they're "doing diagnostics." A WHOLE WEEK of "diagnostics" with no real explanation, no timeline, and no progress that I can actually see. Meanwhile, when I check the location of my vehicle, it's literally sitting in the SAME SPOT I LEFT IT IN ON DAY ONE. So what exactly is being done?! Now I'm sitting here without my car for an ENTIRE WEEK and have been unable to work because of it. And what does this place offer as a solution? NOTHING. They don't have loaners available, they don't have answers, and they apparently have no urgency whatsoever when it comes to getting customers' vehicles back to them. The customer service is somehow even WORSE. Sergio is extremely rude, completely unprofessional, and clearly has no problem hanging up on a customer who is simply calling for an update on their vehicle. HOW IS THAT ACCEPTABLE?! I'm not calling to bother anybody. I'm calling because YOU HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR A WEEK!!! I have never dealt with a service department that seems to have such little concern for their customers' time, transportation, employment, or overall inconvenience. The lack of communication alone is absolutely unacceptable, but having my vehicle for a WEEK while I'm constantly having to call THEM for information is beyond ridiculous. At this point, I feel like I dropped my car off and it disappeared into a black hole. Nobody knows anything, nobody communicates anything, and apparently nobody feels any urgency to get it fixed. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. SAVE YOUR TIME. SAVE YOUR MONEY. SAVE YOUR SANITY. TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE. I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. If I could leave a 0 I would. Brought truck in for issue and technician had no clue Even told them about a recall and said my vin did t match recall which was the same issue I had. First time said calipers were loose which I'm not sure they ever did anything and charged me $482 when there were no noises and just had new rotors a new caliper and new pads put on. 2nd visit could find issue they said So technician never took wheels off to inspect because then they said I needed new brakes, new calipers and rotor were warped and needed to be replaced If he took the wheels off he would seen they were just done Stay Far Far Away from this place .... read more

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled after my recent service experience. I also filed a formal complaint with GMC as a result of our experience at this McGuire Little Falls location. We purchased our car at this dealership back in 2016, and once the warranty was up we haven't had to do business with them since. There was a recent recall on the car, so I scheduled an appt last week and dropped it off. Before they go to work on it, the service dept calls stating that the "service air bag" message appears on the dashboard and if I'd like to further investigate, the diagnostic would cost $175. I replied that I dropped it off for the air bag recall and he stated that this could be something else. I also said that in the 10 years that I've had the car I've never had a message to "service sir bag" until I dropped it there for the recall. Needless to say, I told them we won't be getting the recall work done there and I immediately picked up the vehicle and brought it to my local auto body. That day the mechanic went to do a diagnostic on the car and took a drive to evaluate and the "service air bag" message disappeared and hasn't popped up since. We dropped the car the next day at Franks GMC in Lyndhurst to perform the recall, they were excellent very easy to work with and professional. We have since driven the car to Canada, no message has popped up and we saved $175 plus whatever else we would have been charged. read more

So I went to Johnson gmc and purchased a truck there. I was however hoping to have my new gmc serviced at Mcquire as it's very close to my home. My son purchased a car from this dealership. The salesman promised him a GMC hat and the window sticker. Once the sale was made, neither he or the dealership returned phone calls or emails. It was his first major purchase 33k plus tax.This should of been a positive experience. If they dont honor their promises on something as simple as this what do you think will happen if you really need them such as honor a warranty. Also the used car guy trying to sell you all the warranties and write up the car kept slipping in all kinds of bogus fees and screwing up the numbers. I purchased a used buick 2015 enclave from Mcguire buick in little falls nj. May 6 2025 . 7:30 pm . Sat with salesman 5 minutes. Then a manager came came over wow. He asked me for a down payment I said no. He kept insisting on that. Finally I said I will give $100 , his reply was I need 500$ of course I said no. I took this vehicle around the block I was not taken on highway, big mistake. I had purchased this veh not knowing about all the malfunctioning with electrical problems and rumbling in right side of car in front and back tires when I was driving on highway. I returned this veh the next day .only 1 day driving it. My wife was driving and the car abruptly stopped on its own in the middle of the road . She lunged forward unexpected. Now she is experiencing neck spasms. This vehicle should have never been put on lot for sale. It's unsafe to drive . Innocent people could have been hurt had the vehicle stopped on highway. Now a week later the used car manager tells me the parts have been ordered. Was was this veh not inspected before being sold. It's shameful that there is no honesty in this dealership. While I was in showroom on May 6 2025 . There was a new suv on the floor with a sold sign and a battery charger attached to battery. I'm pretty sure the owner is not a where this vehicle would not start. So I'm obviously not the only one. I had a great buying experience at McGuire GMC in Little Falls. I found my Yukon online, where I started my purchase process using the form on their website. First time I tried that and it was surprisingly convenient and easy to do. I was then contacted by a gentleman from the finance department who took a credit card deposit over the phone. They offered free delivery, which was both surprising and incredibly convenient. I opted to pick the Yukon up, since I was going to be in the area anyway. I arrived for pick up, where I worked with Jim. He was great, very polite and professional. Got everything taken care of quickly and easily. I had one minor issue after the purchase with the vehicle, which was very quickly handled. For this I dealt mostly with Rob, who was great. A real gentleman and extremely professional. They took it for a test ride the day I brought it in, and that was it, I have been working with GMC corporate as my car is only 3 years old and still under warranty. This is a G M C Buick dealer. You walk in, you feel so comfortable with them. We asked that they take care of an issue and they did more then that. . Yes , it is safe to walk into the showroom , everyone is protected. Bottom line is , I drove the truck to Ulster County Ny and truck ran beautifully. I have been buying cars for 35 years, all kinds of different brands and dealers and this dealer is the worst I have ever dealt with. Buyer beware, READ THE REVIEWS! I've been in sales for 20 years so I know what I'm talking about but this "sales manager" showed a complete lack of professionalism when dealing with THEIR error and REFUSED to help. Apparently 15+ years experience as a sales manager does not qualify you in how to deal with a loyal customer but it does give you license to be rude, arrogant and ignorant. He's an embarrassment to the profession. Luckily we were able to go around him and get it rectified but we will NEVER buy from this dealer again. In case you missed all of the other poor reviews, please avoid this place like the plague. Brian Vaughn and Nico set up a deal on a GMC Terrain. My husband showed up on the day/time he was supposed to (with cash in hand) and they tried to jack him for another $2000 over what was originally discussed. The car wasn't even cleaned or ready. They blamed the bait and switch on a "computer error". When I called Brian answered the phone, and claimed he was the GM. When I asked to speak with the owner, he became very rude and patronizing. I normally like to give the owner a chance to remedy an issue before a negative review, but this dealership was so despicable, I felt there was no other choice but to post this. I scheduled an appointment online on 8/19 for 8/25. I received multiple confirmations via email and text 2 days prior. The day before I received a call to reschedule as the appointment time was "not available". I called and rescheduled for 8/30. I was coming in to get a front license plate bracket installed and have my 2nd row AC fixed. After my wife went to the service department this is the text she sent to me... "What a waste of time that was. 1. They didn't have time to look at the AC today, "they are too busy and another car has been there for 2 days waiting for the AC to be checked." 2. They don't have the license plate bracket in stock. What was the point of making an appointment if they aren't prepared to do anything?" In my service experiences with Mercedes and most recently with Infiniti, this would never have happened. I'm in the market for a sedan and this SUV is the first Buick I've ever owned. Service provides an opportunity to get a new customer in the door from there you can expand the relationship down the road to sales. My wife said the gentleman who helped her was really nice but that his body language suggested that what had happened was business as usual. In a commoditized and competitive business landscape, there are many alternatives and options. I will NEVER return to this location for any reason and will be sure to share this sad experience so others are spared from anything similar. Hence this cautionary review. I wish I would have read the others before even trying to schedule. read more

I purchased a Certified Pre Owned vehicle there in 2008. I have not written a review until now. There was an issue with the drivers side electric window switches where the whole assemble recessed into the door console when pushed. I tried several attempts to have this remedied properly before I took delivery but apparently they tried the cheap way out. I asked the salesman to have this repaired and the answer was "let me speak to the owner". Isn't a CPO supposed to be in showroom condition? Anyway they finally brought it to service. I asked the service advisor if they had the proper parts to repair the issue, the answer was YES. Ok so I took delivery of the vehicle and low and behold when I went to operate the windows, the assembly recessed into the door console. I assume they tried to glue the switch instead of replacing it. Maybe the parts the service advisor referred to was a tube of glue. Now I had to schedule a service visit for them to replace the part as they were leading me to believe they was doing in the first place, I have nothing better to do then go back to the dealer after several attempts to have them fix it right the first time. A couple weeks later I noticed a oil drip in the driveway, the oil filter was not tight, so much for the 160 point CPO inspection. Anyway I am happy with the vehicle especially that I have not had to bring it back to the dealer in four years, knock on wood. read more

I have bought two SUVS from McGuire and I was really happy with the service until I went for my third. I went in as a response to a promotion called pull ahead. With this promotion, you are able to turn your lease in early. I set an appointment and came on in eager to buy another cat from McGuire. My sales guy I usual deal with was busy and I worked with John instead. This started the horrible experience. John looks at my file and said Wow you got a great deal on the Terrain and then proceeds to tell me "well you're not getting that again". I took a look at the new models and was really impressed with the Envision, I test drove the SUV and loved it. I told my sales guy I would buy it today lets work on the numbers. John goes into the manager Brian's office and comes out with a number. I asked John to get closer to a lower number. He refused and said I wasn't going to get a better deal. I asked him politily to go back to see Brian. John comes back with a lower number and says "Wow Brian must really like you". Now if this wasn't bad enough it got so much worse. Four months later I notice my credit dropped 80 points. I immediately reached out to GMF to find out what happened. I explained that I took advantage of your pull ahead program and was informed that the dealer never sent in payment. I called GMC McGuire and reported this and received no call back. I called back the next day and talked to my sales man Joe. Joe ran to the finance group and apparently the payment was never sent. Joe called GMF and got the payment to them. I called GMF and asked them to remove the negative remark from my credit report. I was told that the McGuire group had to send an "at fault" letter. I called Joe back he checked and had no knowledge of an "at fault" letter. He asked me to go back to GMF to see what was needed in the letter. I called GMF they explained what was needed. I called Joe back and told him what needed to be sent. Brian sent the letter but the email bounced back, so instead McGuire calling GMF to find out they asked me to find out the correct email and forward it over. I called GMF to follow up and they had told me that a VP needed to approve my request and then it will take 45-60 days to correct. My wife and I are looking for a house and with my credit falling 80 points it puts us in a bad spot. Seeing as this was a McGuire error I would have thought they would have been eager to escalate the matter with GMC...WRONG. I emailed the manager of the dealership and he basically told me he couldn't do anymore. I went digging through the internet and found the owner of the caller dealerships email and emailed her. Renee jumped on the issue and straightened everything out however, when I asked her to make good and give me an incentive to come back she offered a whole sale rate on my NEXT car. Sooo rather than say hey here is a gift card on us take your wife out to dinner they say buy another car and we will make it up. I must say this whole experience really turned me off to McGuire. Here was a customer who had been coming to the dealership for three cars and recommending family and friends who probably bought four more cars I get a GO FISH. I can't be any more upset about their service department. They left a towel on the engine after a very simple oil change job. It burned inside the engine when my pregnant wife was driving. If I wasn't careful enough to pick up the smell and smoke, I can't image what might happen. I removed the burning towel from engine lucky before car burnt down. I bought a 2013 GMC Denali XL. I had a great experience with Jim the salesman and everyone in sales. When purchased in Sept of 2013 I was called and asked to use their service dept. I normally use Preakness GMC and Hawthorne Chevy. All I do is call and go in the next day or two. Today I called McGuire I was transferred to the service dept. then after waiting for someone to pick up they hung up on me. I called back the operator could care less, she said they are busy. They said they were too busy and wouldn't do it. Said we should come back the next day and dismissed him. We went to Schmaucher Chevrolet and their service tech came out and helped us right of way.
