This place has turned into a complete joke since a Ted passed. Made 0900 appointment for a quick inspection. They called and rescheduled the appointment for noon. The vehicle was still dropped off at 0900. Called at 1pm to check status of it and was told they were pulling it into the shop now. Showed up to shop at 230 and they bold face lied. I went on 12/14/2024 to have 4 tires taken off and 4 new tires mounted and balanced on the same wheels. I had already bought the tires online from Amazon. When it came time to pay, they charged almost double what they normally charge. I was told it was because I didn't buy from them and don't get the discount. Well, if they didn't jack the price of the tires up, I would buy from them. They should have told me upfront on the phone of the price I would be paying and why. I was moments from Mavis, drove in the service man came out immediately then the service manager got me in and out in what will sound not realistic but only 10 minutes and my tire was repaired and I was headed for my appointment. Brought my car in to get looked at at 4:15(they close at 6 no one in waiting room). For an exhaust leak......they tell me they can't look at it today(1 1/2" hours left in the day) ....they only have 2 techs working...I asked if they could take 5 minutes and look and just tell me what it is....."nope it will have to be tomorrow." Ok I'm on the fence with these guys. I went in to have a slow leak checked out while on a trip. They asked the mileage, year of car, if I wanted the brakes checked. I told them I just needed the tire looked at as I have the dealership handle everything else and the brakes just got a pass before the trip. So, after a short wait, they get the car up on the lift and they have the hood up and the mechanic is removing the front tires. WTF. It's just a slow leak on one tire, so I go up to the manager and asked why all this is taking place for just one tire. I was told the hood was up to check engine size, and the mechanic didn't read the work order right. I have to admit I was really upset because this was an in and out kind of job and they could have gotten a great review but all this BS happens instead. Long story short, I was only charged for the plug and we both apologized for getting hot under the collar. On the one hand, they fixed the problem, on the other, they screwed up a really simple fix. Terrible service! went in to change breaks. everything seemed ok...then the noise happened. I called them back and they told me it was a wheel bearing. so I decided to check a second mechanic just in case. good thing I did because it wasn't a wheel bearing. instead these idiots at the Oneida Mavis branch 1: didn't clean or oil the new breaks to make sure they were ok and 2: they forgot springs to one of the brake calipers. Never going there again. piss poor service, workers there have shitty attitudes and when I called them about the caliper. they said it wasn't covered under warranty even though it was their mistake. be careful with these people. if they give you a reason for anything, double-check with another mechanic. 9 times out of ten they're not there to help you, but squeeze every last penny out of you and not care if they fix the problem read more
