My husband made an appointment to take his car for a tire change for 11am. Ent to appointment and sat until 12:18. This was with an appointment!!! A week ago I took my vehicle for an oil change. When they were done i wanted to pay cash the manager said they didnt have change. I said well thats not my problem it clearly states you accept cash as a form of payment. He refused to release my vehicle , I had to walk to get exact change to pay for the service. I reached out to the corporate office and they said they were sorry and someone would get back to me. No one from corporate has called me back. My husband took my car in to get tires. There was an issue with the valve caps which required a return trip to the repair shop. I was greeted by the assistant manager, Torii, who was very professional. She quickly addressed my concern and resolved the problem in a timely manner. Scheduled online for an oil change @ 9:00 a.m. I arrived and was told there were 4 cars ahead of me. What is the point of making an appointment if they can't service your car at the scheduled time? I called last minute needing tire repair. I was told they could fit me in if I dropped my car off. 15 min following drop off my car was being worked on! Tori was professional , courteous and offered exemplary customer service! I came with my own tires...which I may add were not the correct size...instead of sending me on my way Tori offered several alternatives and still was able to assist in repairing my car that I had been without for a week. read more

I wish I had read these reviews before going here. I thought I needed 2 rear tires but asked them to check them to make sure I did actually need them but instead they just changed them without confirming they needed to be changed. Which would have been fine if that was all. They also told me I needed new rear struts because they were "dirty and my car is 80,000 miles". The problem is I just got new rear struts 6 months ago!!!! They were trying to get me to pay $500+ to replace a brand new part on my car. Absolutely never again. read more

This place is a joke. Had an appointment for 1:00 to get a front end alignment. Went to lunch and came back around 2:30 and my truck still hasn't been pulled into the shop yet. Around 3:00 they finally pulled it in. I sat in the parking lot and watched them pull 2 other cars in pull the wheels off then put them back on, didn't look like they did anything, I'm pretty sure they are just ripping people off. It's now almost 4:00 when my truck finally goes up on the lift, the guy shakes the wheels and looks around with a flashlight and then pulls the truck out of the shop. I ask him what's going on? He said the front end has play and it's rusty. So I go inside mad as hell because I waited 3hrs for them to take 2 minutes to decide they couldn't do the job. Then they suggested I bring the truck back tomorrow when their mechanic is there,,,, what? Soooo the people they have working on cars aren't mechanics? Stay far away from this place, they are frauds Update: took my truck to another shop, they said there is no play in the front end. I asked about the rust and he laughed and said "not a big deal" I guess the guy at Mavis just didn't want to work that day. read more

This the worse place ever you don't get even get one star terrible service. All 4 tires were bad and I had to get them all replaced. The wheel alignment was no good had to get it done over. The people have the worse manners bad customer service. They set up appointments and your there for 5 hours. Terrible place do not get a flat fixed there they will create another problem. read more

I ordered four new all season tires from Mavis Discount Tire for my brand new 2024 Camaro SS to replace the summer tires that come from the factory. This was necessary because the factory summer tires should not be driven in below freezing temperatures. The car was dropped off at 11:00AM, on Saturday January 27. I received a call from them at 2:00PM. The manager tells me there is a problem. Great. The problem is they ordered the wrong size for the front tires. Of course they have already removed the factory front tires. It seems that they were training new techs and I guess they forgot to tell them to verify the replacement tire size prior to starting work. The manager stated that she couldn't get the correct front tires until Tuesday and asked me what I wanted to do. Pretty stupid question, the obvious answer is to put the original tires back on the front wheels and I'll bring the car back next Saturday for the new front tires. So I get off the phone with her an proceed to have a panic attack over the thought of these people working on my brand new 150 mile car. Unable to take it anymore, my wife an I go to the shop to wait for the car. The rear wheels already had the new tires installed on them and they appeared to be in the process of reinstalling the original front tires on the front wheels. At one point the manager proceeded to yell at the employees loud enough that everyone in the waiting room could hear her. We were horrified at this display of unprofessional behavior. She screamed that they were working too slowly and had to hurry up because the shop closes at 5:00PM. I guess she wanted to leave work on time. Eventually the front tires are mounted and they were putting all the wheels back on the car. Next thing I know, the manager approaches me to say they have yet another problem. It seems the the trainee tire tech managed to install the original 275 rear tires on the front rims because he thought they should match the width of the rear tires. I guess trainees are unaware that the Camaro SS has staggered wheels/tires with 245's on the front and 275's on the rear. No wonder it was taking so long. They were killing themselves to fit the 275's on 8.5" wheels. Note that the rear wheels are 9.5 inches wide. You'd think that it would have occurred to the tech that maybe something was not right since it was so difficult to mount the rear tires on the front rims. Of course the tech was a trainee and lacked experience and probably common sense. Or perhaps this was the result of the trainee tech being screamed at by the manager to hurry up. They had to remove the front wheels again and dismount the factory rear tires from the front rims. Then they remounted the original 245 front tires on the front wheels. They finally get the car done at 4:30PM. At this point it starting to get dark and I'm pretty pissed and just wanted to get out of there. So I go home and begin to inspect the wheels. They had them covered in greasy tire installation lube so I wiped the wheels down only to discover some bad scratches in three of the wheels and minor scratches on the fourth wheel. No wonder they didn't clean the wheels off. They knew what they had done and tried to hide it. I tried some mild polishing compound on the scratches but they are too deep, down to the base metal, so the wheels are pretty much ruined. Again, these wheels have 150 miles on them and were perfect prior to them working on the car. I decided to bring the car to them on Sunday 1/28 to show the manager the damaged wheels. Of course she's off on Sunday's so I show the wheels to the service writer. I tell him I expect that Mavis will pay my Chevy dealer to install four new wheels on my brand new car and I cancel the order for the two front tires since I'm not letting these incompetent people touch this car ever again. The service writer tells me the manager will call me on Monday morning. Of course she never does so I call her and she tells me she has to go up the chain to determine what the resolution will be. Afternoon arrives and I impatiently call the Mavis corporate office and they put me through to the regional manager who tells me he is already working on my issue. The next day I have my Chevy dealer send me a quote to replace the damaged wheels with brand new wheels. The quote amount is $3,568. I forward this quote to the Mavis regional manager and he calls me within two minutes and proceeds to tell me all he can do is have the wheels repaired. Yes, that's right, they want to repair my brand new wheels on my brand new car that they damaged performing a service for me that I paid for. I told him that is not acceptable and he basically told me that is the best they can do and if I don't like then tough ****. It looks like I now have to get my lawyer involved, so their incompetent and unprofessional behavior will now cost me money. Thanks a lot. read more

Came in to have a tiny leak patched, and while I was.there, they BSd me into buying.two new tires for about 300 and then told me that my rack boot needs to be replaced for 400 dollars. They said that the other tire was cracked and dry rotted, which is the biggest BS sales pitch out there for tires. Such BS. Unfortunately, it's a Sunday, and I have no choice since I have a Monday morning commitment. 1st time here, last time here. Don't trust them. read more

I had a rather difficult situation with my air compressor (which was faulty but under warranty) causing there to be no air in my vehicle during the middle of July. It took several attempts and many hours for the mechanic to rectify the problem, but the staff kept me apprised of the status through out the entire process making sure I understood what was happening with my vehicle! Wednesday I discovered that I needed tires. Set up an 8am appointment for Thursday and asked the guy if they would be able to do them right away, he said sure. Wake my 2 little kids, roll over to the shop only to be told a tech called out and they won't be able to get to the car until 10. Ok. Schedule another appointment for the next day (today), but made it 9am so my kids could get a little more sleep. Load the kids in the car in the rain, roll on over only to be told a tech was in an accident and they can't get to my car for awhile. I said I got a similar excuse yesterday and walked out. I guess I will be giving the competition who is able to keep appointment times the 4-tire business. If you know that you can't keep your commitment, a simple courtesy call goes a long way. read more

Recently brought my car in. I didn't call with much notice but they still said it was no problem to bring it in the next morning. They looked over an issue the dealership was going to charge about $600 for and took care of the problem for no charge. They were friendly and courteous. Larry and the staff at mavis tires were great. I stopped in on July 25, 2022 with a slow leak. I had a nail in the tire and they took care of it for free. Not to mention, they bent my rim, did not tell me then tried to say that my issue was from hitting a curb. I had no issues with my rim until I took it to them to purchase 4 new tires. They called and informed me that I needed new control arms, but failed to mention that my rim was bent beyond repair? Sounds fishy to me. When I picked my car up, 8 hours after a 8am appointment, they still did not mention a bent rim. Only when I took it back a week later because the alignment was off (they charged me $100 for an alignment) did they say the rim was bent. The guy kept my car for another 5 hours and said he redid the alignment and it was straight. As soon as I pulled out of the lot, I noticed it was still off. I called them right away and of course now no one was able to talk. Went back the next day after purchasing 4 new rims and was told to come back 3 days later for another alignment. I got my brakes done at the Sewell Location and they messed them up. After complaining I went back to Sewell several times and they still weren't fixed, I got the district manager involved n he sent me to this location. They fixed the problem for about 2months and then my brakes went back to making the same noise. Here I am a year later after dropping $800 and still have the same problem it actually got worse. This was a quick, decently priced place to get an oil change. I asked if I could get an oil change day of but they were booked. The guy told me to come in the following Thursday at 3. He didn't take down my information so when I returned, no one was actually expecting me. But they still took my car and changed the oil within an hour. The oil change was ~$38. They showed me that I will soon need new tires and gave me a quote, but did not press the issue when I said I would not be buying tires that day. Though I can only recommend the service of an oil change, this place seems straightforward and decently priced in my experience. read more

This place is awful. I used to come here and I will not come back. The guy that was working on my car was smoking a cigarette every 30 seconds the entire time and was on his cell phone. I asked for an oil change, and for them to just check my back breaks and the guy came out to talk to me and pressured me into getting my back breaks done. Meanwhile I can do them myself for a lot cheaper. They're very unprofessional and rude here. Tried to upsell me for every single thing. not a good place to do business with mavis Sicklerville. I think his name is Ellis. I called and inquire for wheel alignment , we both agreed that I can drop off the car And they will work on it, he said it will take an hour to align the car. I dropped off my car early morning. since no call or update after 2 Pm I ended up calling them as I need the car and Ellis mentioned that they did not start yet as they are busy so I said, "ok I need the car now so I will just pick it up and drop it off again tomorrow". I got there in less than 10 minutes and my car is on the lift. Ellis said, I did not notice that it's on the lift so just wait 15 minutes. But I ended up waiting for almost an hour and I did not make it to my appointment. Ellis, just be honest to your customers next time if you want to keep the business, and try to be nice. at least try. read more

This place is a joke. Make up fake symptoms on your vehicle to make a buck. I know I needed spark plugs. Asked them to check the condition of them and see if they needed replaced as a test. Told me they looked almost new. I measured my brake pads. They are at 70% life left and they told me i needed all new brake pads. Dont trust these guys. They either dont actually look at what you ask them too or they make up problems. read more

I visited the Magnolia location originally on a Friday for a slow leak in my tire which they explained would be a two hour wait because of them being short staffed and behind. So they suggested I come back Sunday morning which I did and they mentioned again about being short staffed and having a two hour wait. I then decided to make an appointment for the upcoming Wednesday hoping that making the appointment would provide me a definite time they would take my car in and wait the average time for a plug or patch that I have experienced before with the same issue. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment it again it was mentioned to me that they were short staffed and it would take 2 hours or more.The technician tried accommodate me and said to come back the next day and he would take it immediately and the cost would be waived. I did just that and when I went for the final time, they were not able to provide me with immediate service as promised. The customer service is absolutely horrible and I will never take my car there again for anything. read more
