I called in advance and they scheduled me for an appointment that same day. The man in front was Jeff and he was pleasant to my mother and me when we arrived. The repair took about 30 minutes and I was comfortable in the waiting area [which had free water]. These guys handle all types of tire issues. The repair on my tire was $31.98. Some times you walk into a place for something simple and they try to sell you a new tire or FOUR new tires. These guys run a legit business and there was no hard sell to buy anything additional. This Mavis location is not customer friendly and would definitely NOT recommend using them. My son got tires put on and I wanted to pay for them with my cc via phone like people do to buy things everyday on cc via phone or internet. This location refused to take my cc over the phone to pay for the tires. But this was after all the work was done, my son was NOT advised by Mavis of this policy PRIOR to the work being done. So they did the work then left us no choice as far as payment, which is deceitful to the customer. Makes you wonder what other back door things they do or make money on, if they are comfortable doing this to a customer. Find another tire and service place! They charge me 40% over thier quote and broke a bracket on my brake system and had to hold my car for a week. They told me the part would be in on Tuesday and when I took the day off of work and called them aroubd 3:30 that day, the told me it wasn't scheduled to come in for another few days... thier communication was awful and they left me high and dry. They quoted me $700 and a week later when it was finally done, they charged me $1014. If you charge a customer 40% more than you quote them, that's not a mistake, that is an integrity issue. Ordered 4 tires online on a Thursday... arrive the following Monday at 9:30 as scheduled and they only have 2 tires and the other 2 were cancelled? Not by me, so I choose tires in stock and leave the car. Drive by at 1:00pm and see the car on the lift, but they said it won't be ready until 6:00pm when they close. They replaced a valve stem that other tire places said couldn't be replaced without getting a pressure sensor and reprogramming all four tires. Here the sensor was magically fine and my total cost was $13 after a $10 off discount they had going! No pressure sensor light since my visit and my couple month old tire has been just fine since. I think the only thing I'd trust them with is filling holes in tires... if that. On an even heavier note, my 95 year old grandmother brought her car in to get her breaks fixed... $2,300 LATER, I found out that instead of FIXING her breaks, they screwed them up and her breaks gave out while I was driving it. If she had driven her own car that day, she could have potentially gotten into an accident, or worse... They half-ass everything, they are ridiculously unreliable, and I don't trust them at ALL. I love an honest businesses! My wife got a flat tire on her new ride the other day. I looked and thought it was possibly a little more then just a simple puncture. On October 8, 2022, I brough my teenage sons Jeep Patriot to Mavis 1906 Route 35, Wall, NJ. At this time, I explained to the service Desk that at higher speeds the steering wheel is shaking. We asked them to look at the car and to please call us with the issue. They called and had a list of things needed to fix the car. The total was $2019. We were shocked and asked if they felt that was all necessary and would fix the problem. They said YES, we figured Mavis is known for brakes and tire and they must know what they are doing. We said yes and we said OK go ahead with repairs. The repairs were 4 new tires (needed), wheel alignment, brake pads front and back, calipers and some miscellaneous charges stated on the bill. We picked up the car and for a few days seemed ok. My husband and son were driving together, and the car started to shake and then smoke coming from the tires where breaks are. We called Mavis and the blamed it on faulty parts and said they would redo the entire job. My husband emphasized the calipers also. The technician said yes, the entire job. So, they call and say car is ready, they tell us they replaced EVERYHING. Now my son is alone and driving home from school on the parkway and the car starts to make a loud noise, shakes, and now is smoking a lot. Same issues. Now we are both at work and he is stranded for 2 hours until we can get to him. Unacceptable and shame on the technicians for not being thorough. He could have been hurt or hurt someone else driving on the Parkway. So, we take car back to Mavis and they say that they fixed the car, but that the real problem is we need a master break cylinder. I am so disturbed by this experience. So 2gs and the real issue was not even fixed? This is fraud. I have contacted The Better Business Bureau and if I do not get some sort of recognition to this email, I will blast this story everywhere possible. This is unacceptable and dangerous. Mavis is everywhere. People like me go there for the reputation and we as the customer expect you to guide us and help us. Do you want your child driving around in an unsafe vehicle because of incompetency? I don't think so. I would like my money back from Mavis, so I can take the car to someone else and get it fixed the right way. read more

Showed up early for the appointment, not that that stopped the gentleman behind the service desk from checking in people before me who did not have an appointment mind you. Couldn't have asked for better. 1st time there, brought car in to an overflowing parking lot at 11AM on a weekend (packed obviously because they are so good). had a ton of work done including brakes, rotors on all four wheels (with lifetime warranty on pads). changed out a road hazard warranty covered damaged tire at no cost or hassle. did a full synthetic oil change and had everything done at very good price quoted and on time promised for completion... If I could give it zero stars I would. I went in for the free tire rotation. The service manager comes out tells me that there is a chunk out of my passenger side front brake pad. He then brings me in to tell me that the driver side caliper is not working which is causing the passenger side caliper to jab into the passenger brake pad. $500 to fix. Fortunately they did not have the parts. I left and went to my regular mechanic. He checks out my car and says that there is nothing wrong with the brakes.. MAVIS is Corrupt. They advertise great deals in tires but when you leave you have more wrong with your car then when you came in. My finance went to get new tires and left with 4 broken tire sensors and when we brought it back they said it wasn't their fault and charged him over $200 to fix it. The he drives away with another tire pressure light on and the check engine light on. Absolutely absurd that they are taking 0 responsibility and are complete unethical. Gota a quote yesterday from "Tommy" for pads and rotors. Showed up this morning and the manager, "Chris", wouldn't honor the price. He started out $80 high per axle, then 50 ... as I was driving away, he called my cell and tried to argue for "only" $20 more, per axle. I told him that if he didn't meet the quoted price, we didn't have any business. Advice: AVOID this company. One star for quality of service. Last year after a routine oil change and tire rotation the service tech left my left rear wheel lugs loose. Tire almost fell off about 1/2 mile away. I decided to give them a second chance. 06/01/2019 oil change and rear brakes. Simple job for most shops. Service tech left my right rear brake caliper loose. One mounting bolt fell out and the brake caliper was bouncing around. I can only imagine if I was on the parkway with my wife and 2 small children what could have happened if the brakes came completely apart. Poor Poor Poor quality. Use this shop at your own risk!
