Let's be real.. Trying to find an honest auto mechanic is a pain.. I KNOW!! Out of all of the auto repair places I have been to through my life, this shop has been the most reliable and trustworthy I have ever found. I live by "trust but verify" and know a good bit about auto mechanics. Manager and auto expert Robert always fully explains and shows me exactly what happened so I know I'm not getting taken for. He provides and explains ALL available options. Trust me I've had my fair share of those shady types and FINALLY I find a REAL honest one!! They recommended about 5 different tires from which you could choose from. Went ahead and got all 4 tires done. They were able to do the service that was requested which were to keep the 2 tires in the front since they were still new, and put one of the 2 tires onto our spare tire since it needed to be replaced. It took about an hour and 30 minutes for the service. I would say that the value for everything done was good. Overall, the worker's did a very good job. They were very polite. The only thing is that the technician did bust 2 of the plastic hub cap for the tires, but they did offer to replace them.

WARNING -- SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD -- ZERO STARS…read more I brought my 1965 Chevrolet Impala (a classic collector vehicle) to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Hoschton, GA around May 1, 2026 for a complete suspension job. They also installed brand new Goodyear General tires at the same time. I paid approximately $1,800-$2,000 for this work. Less than 500 MILES later I noticed my tires were toeing out and feathering badly. I put the vehicle on a lift and was absolutely shocked at what I found: -- Tie rod sleeve on driver side LOOSE with STRIPPED OUT nuts and bolts -- Outer tie rod bushing on passenger side DAMAGED -- Both upper ball joint bushings on BOTH sides DAMAGED -- Sway bar bolt on passenger side BUSTED -- Brand new Goodyear General tires DESTROYED from severe feathering The steering was so loose the vehicle darted from one side of the road to the other. This vehicle was NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. At highway speed I could have lost complete steering control and caused a serious or fatal accident -- not just to myself but to every other driver on the road. I took the vehicle to a second reputable shop who confirmed every single finding AND discovered additional problems Mavis created. That shop tightened the sleeves and made the vehicle road worthy enough to drive home -- AND THEY DID IT ALL FOR FREE. A shop that had absolutely nothing to do with this situation showed more professionalism, integrity, and decency than Mavis who took my $1,800-$2,000 and left me with a dangerously unsafe classic vehicle. I have photos, video, and written documentation of all defects. I have witnesses. The repairs are STILL NOT FULLY RESOLVED. I am now demanding full compensation from Mavis corporate to have this work completed correctly at a shop of my choosing. I will NEVER allow Mavis Hoschton to touch my vehicle again. When I brought this to Mavis attention the assistant manager was dismissive, questioned why I was just bringing it in, and showed complete indifference to a serious safety hazard that his shop created. Mavis took zero responsibility and offered nothing. IF THIS IS NOT PROPERLY RESOLVED THEY WILL BE SPEAKING TO MY ATTORNEY. I HAVE PHOTOS, VIDEO, DOCUMENTATION, AND WITNESSES. Do NOT bring your vehicle -- especially a classic or collector car -- to this location. What Mavis Hoschton did to my irreplaceable 1965 Impala was negligent, dangerous, and could have been fatal.

Things were made worse just like how they didn't car. The good: gave me some advice (only 5% helpful), got replacement radiator ordered and changed day of for $80 part, I brought my own new engine coils & spark plugs in to get the tuneup The bad: labor fees, got jipped and overcharged Car was overheating and misfiring. The cause is the fuel line. I have a 2004 Honda Civic. The only cause for misfires is transmission or fuel line and my transmission is newly rebuilt. So it's obviously the fuel line. I brought it here because I don't have shop tools yet I literally told them to go look at the fuel line and tell me what parts, I'll supply the parts. I came in already knowing that and told them. But they convinced me it's a blown head gasket + needs a $4k engine rebuild + melted radiator and I decided to just put blue devil in & change the radiator And they said they'll change the oil, I told them I brought my own new oil, it's in the back. All they did is drain the oil down to barely living. My car wa DYING off of 0.0% oil. I went backseat to check my oil quarts; UNOPENED. I ended up changing my own oil the following Friday. Was also slightly made uncomfortable by the little small talk....as an Asian person, I've gotten the "my wife is Asian blah blah blah" by a non-poc exchange. This was another day. Please sir, I'm just trying to get my car fixed, and it's NOT an engine rebuild problem. Got jipped $400-500. All I want is a half refund , please sir.
