Thank you Mavrix for exceeding all of my expectations and creating a memorable night for everyone in my party. I booked my college graduation here and all of my guests said they had a blast, including myself. I highly recommend using their event services for groups. The entire process ran smoothly. I applied on their website and within the next day, I was contacted back. Their event coordinators are very responsive and informative. They answered all my questions and ensured I was going to have a great event, and I did. The event packages are so worth it. Members of my party received drink tickets, appetizers, arcade play, and two lanes for bowling! The service was amazing too! The guys enjoyed the place too because they got to walk over next door to Octane and get some go kart racing in. It was an amazing experience. If you are looking for a place to celebrate with some friends and family, I would suggest Mavrix and booking a group event. Currently with Covid, the minimum is 6 guests and I felt safe the entire time. There was social distancing and masks. This place is fun for everyone, aesthetically pleasing, and welcoming. If you'd like to be racially discriminated against this is the place to go. It started with watching two bartenders use their fingers to taste drinks then hand them out to our table. After simply bringing it to waiters attention, she went and got the bar tender who said it's how they make sure they made the drink right. We advised them we did not like this and asked to remake the drinks which the bartender agreed to do. 10/15 min later the general manger Laura comes to the table and tells us we are "harassing her crew" and need to pay our tab and leave. Didn't ask what happened, did not try to reconcile or anything. We told her we needed checks split. She told us no, slammed the bill on the table and told us to pay in full or she would call Scottsdale's police department. We again told her we have no problem paying and leaving, but it was a group and the checks needed to be correct so that we could do that. She left, split the check down the middle came back and told us she split it into two and to figure it out. After again explaining to her that it can not be paid until she corrected the bills she left again, came back and said the bill was on her and that she wanted us out. It was the most disrespectful, distasteful experience I have ever had. I will never return. I'd also like to note that we had 0 issues at the virtual reality and kart racing which is what we did prior to walking over and thinking we could have a nice meal. read more

All I can say is "Aaron" manager or whatever he is was the most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with as a customer....after coming in on their opening night and spending $300+ for bowling, food & drinks on a Saturday. I was told that they would be open till midnight and at the latest 2am. So, we spent another $100 on the arcade card to play with friends from out of town and this "Aaron" at 10:03 tried to tell us to leave after having another $75 left on our card and then proceeded to hassle us until we left. I then asked if we can play one more game on the way out and he would not make eye contact with me and was extremely rude and told me no and that we need to leave now...mind your there was 10+ other customers still playing games with no intentions of leaving. Ended up giving him our card back with $75 left on it and told him that we will never come back again nor support this establishment. Note: management I highly recommend getting staff who treat customers with respect unlike "Aaron"! Everyone else who works there great job and you all were amazing. read more

Decent place, would definitely improve some things. Went on a Wednesday and bought the unlimited pass for two which was $35 and includes unlimited bowling, billiards, and laser tag. They apparently had an event going on but we didn't know this until after we bought the pass online. We arrive around 4:30 pm and the worker tells us about them having events booked and basically says we need to do bowling now because we won't be able to do it again until 8 pm. Okay whatever. Well we go up to the desk at 8:20 pm and the workers tells us we can't bowl or play pool because when there is an event those two things are reserved for them. They offered us the VIP spark lane for an additional $10 though. We just left. We played one round of bowling and one round of laser tag which really wasn't that great. I think we should've been refunded or accommodated if we weren't going to be able to use the unlimited pass as intended, not sure why i even paid for it. read more

After I left, my card was charged again, according to my bank statement. I had to contact my bank, order a new card and file a dispute for the random charge. Cool place but the service is inconsistent. Went there on a Thursday evening and the service was great. Following weekend, the server would not server would not serve food/drinks at the pool tables. She was not friendly about it either. Bartender took our order after some convincing, he was good about it. Masks are strictly enforced. Absolutely terrible. We arrived and bought play cards and unlimited wrist bands. We wanted to eat then play. We sat at the table for over 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. We ordered right away because let's face it sitting that long you know what your ordering. Well after ordering it took an extreme amount of time for food to even start coming out. And it wasn't even hot. To tip it off there are only 3 tables of people! We had 10 in our group. Now if it's busy sure I can understand a big delay but 3 tables? Come on. And the general manager casey was horrible. Wouldnt refund our wrist bands which was 200$ worth and so we have 1.5 hours before they close. We spent over 1.5 hrs from the time we sat down to the time we got up.again still the same 3 tables here. The server was the only good thing about this dining experience and he wasnt even our server but he took over our group since ours only showed her face once. The most disappointing part is the manager. How can you be such a rude guy in this business. Greedy. We came to spend money and have a good time but you sir make me never want to come back. After that we talked with another manager. the ops manager Matt was amazing and took care of us. Matt truly should be the GM and not Casey. This. Place. Is. AWESOME!! I wanted to have a surprise birthday party for my wife and, in typical husband fashion, didn't get around to planning til a few days before hand. I walked into Mavrix for the first time, and was immediately impressed with the layout and options for having an event. I met with Event Sales Consultant Kali M. who talked me through the options. Kali was extremely invested in the planning process and helped me come up with the perfect plan for my specific vision. We ended up using the patio outside the bar, and were even able to watch the Thursday Night Football game on the enormous screen throughout the party. The management and employees were all briefed and prepared for our event. They did a great job of getting all the guests in the right place and settled with food and drinks before we got there. Once I came in with my wife, they facilitated the surprise in a way that left my wife and I both surprised and blown-away. Our server, Salyna M. was a total pro and never stopped hustling to take care of the 30 plus guests. She was personable and professional and everyone was so happy with her customer service. The beer was cold and food was delicious. We even had a few from our group do a go-kart ride at Octane next door which we were able to watch from the Matrix patio which overlooks the racetrack. Totally awesome, can't wait to do more events here. All of our guests said the same thing. Not one complaint, and no way I could express how perfect everything was! So disappointed by this place. The service was horrible. The staff was trying to do their best but it was so messed up. Took 20 minutes to get drinks. Food was brought to our table 8 times that we didn't order. They must not have a method of knowing which table ordered what. Food took a long time to come out and servers did not know what they were bringing to the table. Ordered large order of wings and got medium, wrong drink brought out twice. Felt sorry for the staff. Had a terrible experience on a Saturday afternoon. Went with a group of 5 people. Signed up to the waitlist for one of the VIP lanes, 85 minute wait, they make you pay up front so paid for two hours, $70 an hour. Finally get called only to be informed that the VIP lane wasn't available so they are moving us to one of the signature lanes, $50 dollars an hour. Okay so do we get money back? No but we get two one hour signature lane bowling credits for use later BUT ONLY ON MONDAY-THURSDAY...great so if all of my friends decide to call in sick one day before the end of the year on a Tuesday we can go bowling. Then the 5 of us, all adults, are put on a lane between two kids birthday parties. One parent immediately starts throwing a fit. If you've been there you know they sandwiched those Signature lanes in so tight you might as well be on the same lane. THEN, the moment we start putting our names in, some kids on the lane next to ours throw multiple balls down the lane and BREAK the ball returner. A guy comes to fix it, 35 MINUTES goes by as kids are running around us bored while they wait. We ask the server if we can get the time put back on for how long we had to wait, they put on 15 extra minutes. Come on. Never going back. read more

He constantly checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed, and even helped me with something after we had closed out from his section. We decided to leave because of that and they refunded us $25 of our $300 we spend on laser tag. Celebrated my birthday here and had a great time. Really good looking building with friendly staff and good food. Went in planning to only bowl and eat but Raul, the gentleman that helped us set up the bowling, took us for a quick tour of all of the activities and games in the location. He then kept checking in on us to make sure we were doing okay. He was great. We ended up doing everything besides the VR, which we plan on going back for. Had a really good time and plan on going back. Would definitely recommend this place over places like main event and Dave and busters. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Went for birthday dinner and service was beyond terrible! Our appetizers (pretzel bites and chips/guacamole) took an hour to get. They brought one dish at a time. Didn't supply any silverware, I had to get them myself. Waitress Kyra was full of excuses and wouldn't take any accountability other than the "kitchens backed up". They brought the wrong order to our table more than once. One of our friends order a salad and still hadn't received it by the time everyone ( 7 others ) finished eating. She then insulted us saying "she would kill herself if she was from Arizona". Spoke to the manager Steve, who was even more worthless. Horrible at apologizing for any poor behavior from his staff and accepting accountability. They also lost my friends credit card which was placed for the table. Bathrooms had no toilet paper. This place should be shut down. I have never had such horrible service in my entire life. I would never step foot in this establishment ever again. Steve and Kyra should be fired, they do not belong in anything pertaining to customer service. read more

Mavrix is an entertainment facility that will leave you speechless! Aside from the bowling, they have a full size restaurant, 3 bars currently soon to be 4, as well as their massive arcade!
