Portions are huge and service is great but I think this place is definitely just for pizza drinks and apps. I do love their seasonal drinks and their nachos but I've branched out a few times and have always been a little disappointed. Their cesar salad was alright and I think I'm not a fan of my Buffalo chicken being grilled. It says it on the menu so I don't fault them but I tried it and it is just alright. What they do well they do well but there are definitely a few misses.

Beer, salad, and pizza with easy parking and efficient, friendly service. Atmosphere casual in a casual first date kinda way; it's not an occasion place. Went with the "Marley," which, besides the greenery and cheese (including thick slices of shaved Parmesan), paired bright tomato sauce with tangy balsamic vinegar. The flavor contrast worked. The ultimate floppy pizza, with a thin crust, crunchy edges, and very droopy center (forget "undercarriage;" this was more of a "crumblecarriage"). Not that it's a bad thing, unless you're Dave Portnoy. Good coal oven flavor to the pliable dough. Aside: I liked this one as I like all coal fire pizza -- with the exception of coal fired pizza at places with "Coal Fired Pizza" in its name. Salad: Mixed mesclun greens salad surprisingly enjoyable, thanks to pear slices and roasted peppers. Beer: Decent craft beer selection on tap. Fiddlehead IPA washed everything down.

Sorry, give the wrong amount it's higher

After traveling back-and-forth in front of Max and Leo's and Sudbury, we finally ordered a pizza. We headed DoorDash chicken pesto. It was $30.56. We hoped at that price it would be very big! It was the smallest personal four slices of pizza. Saying that it was like cardboard would be giving it too much credit. Absolutely disgusting cold hard I wouldn't even plug up a window with this you couldn't anyways because it's so small. $30.56 SMH!

Pear caramelized onion ricotta pizza minus the prosciutto (lasted me 3 meals)

I recently went here for dinner and it far exceeded my expectations! Looking at the pizzas, I was ready for crackery, crunchy crust, but I was pleasantly surprised that there was actually some nice chewiness! My husband got a sausage and pepper pizza and I got a pear, caramelized onion pizza without the prosciutto to be vegetarian. They also had some good looking salads- one even had manchego with a quince dressing which I thought sounded unique. Their Christmas decorations were also cute.

I love the Max & Leo's in Newton for the easy access but the quality has been a little inconsistent over the past few times we've ordered pick-up from there, with the most recent visit the dough being super thick, almost Detroit-style. The Max & Leo's in Chelmsford had some of the best pizza I've had in a while. This location also has a lot more seating, plenty of parking, and more menu options - so I suppose I'll have to make the trek out here more often. We ordered the Jero's Pineapple and the L'Enza to share among six hungry post-race people; definitely could have ordered one more pie. Jero's Pineapple is my perennial favorite; I will not stand for anti-pineapple on pizza slander. The L'Enza was also extremely tasty, with mushrooms and beautifully seasoned Italian sausage. I had to get some greens into my body and the mixed mesclun salad far exceeded my expectations for a salad - it had caramelized pears and roasted peppers with a light dusting of pecorino. They were nice to split the order into two plates for me and my husband. Food came out promptly. Would definitely come here again.

Met some wonderful friends here on a recent visit to MA. I have my usual spots to visit, but I was encouraged to try something new and glad I did as I was pleasantly surprised. Just got a simple mushroom and pepperoni pizza and definitely enjoyed it. Will go back next visit for sure!

How have I never heard of this place until now!!! Great spot for food and drinks. Let me start with what every other reviewer raves about... the mozzarella sticks !!!!! The picture while great does not do justice. These are quite literally the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had. The combination of pesto, marinara and balsamic are like heaven on earth. Not only are those great but we got a spicy Hawaiian pizza, chicken fingers and a salad and all were perfect! Crispy chicken fingers if you like that and a great side of honey mustard. Blueberry martini is a must and the whole staff was so sweet!

Is it possible to get pizza here without the cheese dusting, I'm vegan and normally order pizza without cheese?

Yes but no one would call it "pizza".

I forget what El Presidente rated them, let me tell you they do not disappoint, we have been going ever since If you like NY style pizza, nice thin crispy crunch on the well done side, with smooth tasting sauce and yummy cheese, then you have to try Joanie's pizza In Chelmsford. We just realized they have meatballs and chicken parm subs. We will be trying their other food next week on Acupuncture day. Stay tuned. Best to call and order it, in case they sell out. We do that when we head down there and it's always ready and it's never once disappointed us. All the employees are awesome!!! We did try another pizza place that El Presidente suggested and there's no comparison, not in taste nor service.

The pizza was tasty and worthy of the rating it got, however it's definitely on the pricier side (these 2 pizzas were almost $45 total!!) the staff were also very friendly when I picked up the order! It's worth trying out, but unsure if the price tag can be justified to be a regular...

Don't be fooled by the burnt crust, I asked for well done. Haha. I feel like I'm back in NY!
