I have been a very satisfied customer of Max Solon Plumbing for several years. My latest project was quite extensive as I was getting new homeowner's insurance and as a finding from the 4 point inspection, the insurance company wanted me to replace all the shut off valves on my toilets and sinks. I requested Pepe, who has done almost all the work at my house in the past. He arrived promptly and we reviewed the list of 8 areas needing work. He wrote up a bid, I approved and he started working. It was a 2 day job, as the washing machine turn offs required the drywall to be cut and a new box installed. All went great, no leaks and I was approved for the insurance. While he was here I also had him replace the faucet in the laundry sink and the spigot on an outside hose that was leaking. He is friendly and very good at what he does. Because of the extent of the work, I received a very competitive price. I highly recommend this company. read more

I scheduled an estimate for some work with Max Solon. Then... he never showed up. I took the day off of work to meet with this guy. I lost money by staying home and waiting all day. Not even a phone call to tell me he wasn't coming. No text to say the same. Red-Flags! Stay away from this one folks. Responding to Max's post below...Nobody on your end was waiting for a call-back from me, Max. After your no-show on appoinment day, I called your office. The lady taking your calls told me that you had cancelled me and put me on another day. Why would you do that? And why wouldn't you call to ask me if I was even available on that new day? Total lack of courtesy to the customer. And still no apology. There's no "making this right". I can't afford to take another chance with you. We recently used Max Solon to do some work on my mother's home which is an older home. They were very prompt in getting out there and were really polite. The plumber who originally came out went on the roof to try to snake the problem (which was a blockage) and when he wasn't successful he called in a supervisor who unfortunately wasn't able to clear it from the roof either. They ended up having to cut into some PVC line to clear out the blockage. I appreciate that they both at least tried to fix the problem before having to cut into the line. I have a family member who is a plumber and when he heard what was going on in the house he knew immediately what had to be done and that's exactly what these guys did. No taking advantage or anything which sadly can be a problem sometimes with people in the service industry. The only reason for not giving them 5 stars is because I thought it was a bit on the expensive side. I recommend Max Solon Plumbing for any plumbing needs you might have. read more

Once again Max Solon has stepped up to provide quality work and excellent service for us. This project was a full home water filtration and softener system. John messaged us with a tracking link to let us know he was on his way and he arrived exactly on time. John was courteous and patient as he explained the work he'd be doing, then went right to work. John was respectful of our home while he did his work, and actually finished the job much more quickly than we expected. Upon completion, John stayed longer as he ran a regeneration with the new equipment to make sure that there were no issues. He then explained the workings of the system, and provided us a link to find the owner's manual and specs. We seem to have a yearly January 'date' with Max Solon Plumbing. And although no one wants to have an issue, this company is our go-to for plumbing issues. Things always break on the weekend, as we all know. This time, the kitchen sink backed up. Luckily, we were able to wait until Tuesday for the first available time slot. The text indicating Pepe was enroute brought smiles. He arrived at the time he said he would. He analyzed the issue, went on the roof to clean the main line and provided a maintenance program (baking soda & white vinegar in sink drain overnight every two weeks). Apparently, there is grease buildup no matter how careful you are in the kitchen. Pepe made us laugh when he said I've been here before. I remember walking over your roof. They give you up front quotes and deliver results as expectations dictate, no matter the problem. I had a great experience with Max Solon Plumbing. I called concerning a potential leak behind one of the cupboards in my new kitchen. Max was very communicative and sent someone within 2 days. Ian arrived on time and was extremely professional. He checked the cupboard and didn't really want to cut through it, so instead he checked the shower (which directly behind that cupboard) and did notice an actual leak that required him to cut through the cupboard. He did not leave until the leak was fixed (he ended up finding 2). He explained everything he was doing and he cleaned after himself. I am extremely pleased. Wasted over a week of my time stating they were competent to install a recirculation pump. After waiting for the installation and turning down other plumbers with Todd's convincing me that he purchased the exact OEM parts to solve my issue, his plumber IAN started the install. I came back out 30 minutes later and he told me it wasn't the right part and they didn't know what they were doing and that my unit could not handle a pump. Why did you wait over a week then to tell me you had no idea what you were doing? Ridiculous waste of time for incompetence. read more

I had a huge leak and drainage issues in my 1950's home. MSP solved the issue promptly and spent days troubleshooting the draining issue which involved re-plumbing the drainage pipes. I sent them via text and had an estimate within an hour. When I excepted the estimate proposed, we made an appointment and two days later my problems were fixed. Poor Workmanship and high price behind a friendly face.     The one star is simply for being Friendly and responsive, I'll give them that. The issue with Max Solon and co. are High Price, Poor Quality of work and, frankly, the jobs are not done right.  I had them install a water softener in my condo, within 3 months, had to call due to a leak coming from it. The connections were so poorly done, that it leaked down to my downstairs neighbor.  Within the 3 months, I used Max to repair one of my tenants sink. This should have been a pretty basic job, a leak under the kitchen sink...He called saying that the garbage disposal had a crack....ok I'll trust him. $330 and a week later I find out from my tenant that the Garbage disposal was NOT the problem, and in fact the leak was still there and the faucet was now spraying all over the place. When I called Max about it, he wanted to charge me another $300 to replace the kitchen faucet....Really!?   Obviously I called another plumber and the new plumber got the job done for $150 and could not believe the hack job done by Max. read more

They sent the same incompetent​ one twice who couldn't and wouldn't fix the problem. Now desperate​ to get the toilet fixed I then called another plumber I used before. Unfortunately,​ he was busy that day so he referred me to Max Solon Plumbing' and I'm very happy he did. Max Solon Plumbing sent Matt over the​ ​ same afternoon and within 30 minutes all was resolved and at a reasonable cost.
