Walked into the store...it was empty... There were sales associates all standing around the counter - they did not even care to glance. Walked around the store, looking for various designers in menswear...not one hello or "How can I help you sir?" Then when I left, there was no goodbye, have a nice day, or any other sort of recognition I was there...This place leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Selection was just okay. Everything in menswear is either available through SSENSE, Luisaviaroma, or Barney's New York, which is located just a few miles away and has covered parking and more helpful staff. For Balenciaga, they barely had anything and when I found something and tried to ask for a size, they all looked at me and glanced away. What a joke. Without their jobs as professional standers, they probably could not afford one item in that store. I guess I'll take my wallet elsewhere and leave the attitude behind. Also, sales associates were very judgmental...I was wearing a shirt from a couple of seasons ago and all of a sudden, I'm not worth talking to. Word of advice to the sales associates - 1) you're not so hot yourself, 2) how dare you wear last season? They must be super cheap, like me! 3) Maybe if you weren't so lazy, you could make commission so you can afford to go to college and have a real job. read more

Where do I even start...my whole experience at this store was miserable from start to finish. I came with my boyfriend after a day of shopping, and I had been dying to visit it since moving to the area a few months back. Immediately, as we walked up to the door, we noticed a group of 3 employees pointing and staring from the men's sale building (there are two parts to the store). This was very unnerving, and we soon noticed one of the women (man? couldn't tell) make a beeline for us in the next building over. This person then proceeded to follow us ALL OVER the store, hovering over our shoulders and completely distracting me from the shopping experience as I felt the need to match this employee's "bitch face" every time I turned around. It made me so sick that I ended up having to wait outside for fear of a panic attack if I stayed in store any longer. The decor was sparse and left much to be desired, and while the selection was nice enough, all the items were crowded together and nothing spectacular. The only person who smiled at me the entire time I was in there was the security guard, who I honestly felt sorry for. Frankly, this was incredibly disappointing and they lost two willing customers who would have bought multiple items if it hadn't been for the obviously heinous and entitled environment of this store, which we refused to support. If you're looking to stop in for a visit, don't - instead I highly recommend a visit to Dover Street Market in DTLA which has a much wider selection for a much more pleasurable, visually stimulating, and welcoming shopping experience that will leave you completely satisfied. read more

Just had a very pleasant experience. Called in to see if they had an item, and the nice woman double checked and saved it for me at the front desk. She then bagged it, added nice tissue paper, and tied a bow because it's a gift. No complaints. Nice business! Also they have free valet! read more

Maxfield has beautiful pieces from designers like Alaia and Los Angeles designer Paul Harnden. It is laid out very nicely by designer with designers from all over Europe and Japan. However, if you aren't a billionaire, don't expect good customer service. Prices range from 800 to 50,000 dollars. read more

Don't attempt to buy an apple watch here! Customer service is terrible if you're not "rich and famous! They will let you fall in line for 5 hours and when you're inside the store, they will tell you- there is only 38mm in black sport only in-stock! Then you will see unfamiliar faces before you preordering apple watch on the cashier's station. The cashier even tell you that your watch will arrive after 2 days- but it is already fucking 1 week past that you haven't seen a glimpse of your watch!!! First of most I want to thank the entire employee staff members starting from management down to the security guards on site. My experience today was very pleasant and everyone single person in Maxfielda was courtesy and professional. Rodney was very professional and courtesy same goes to Laura, the hostess (blond hairs female) and all the way to check out. This is my general review and opinion. I waited in line for the 42mm apple watch but it was not waste of time b/c even though the store did not have the size 42mm Apple watch it was clearly explained to everyone in the line and leading up to entering the store that the only available size was 38 and that is all what was available in the store. I pre-ordered my apple watch and I'm pretty confident that I will get my apple watch before the June and that is what apple website shows for pre-order of the watch. Just wanted to thank Alex, Octavia and the rest of the Maxfield apple crew. I got my watch in one day -- here is what I did, I called and spoke to a telephone operator who told me what stock was available. I came in and requested to purchase a watch, they told me that the order needed to be processed, so I would have to come back by later that day to get my watch. I will admit that for those who think they can just walk in and walk out with an apple watch - that won't be the case. (At least it wasn't for me) However, everyone who I dealt with with polite (including the security guards) and I literally had my watch on my wrist within 6 hours of purchasing it. For me this was as good as it gets.. especially as I got the 42mm model watch which has at least a 1-2 week shipping wait time on apple.com Also the folks working in Maxfield with the apple watches are apple employees -- so you will get the same apple customer service there. My advice would be to call before you go, be calm and respecful and let them know what model you want. Have a deadline that you feel comfortable waiting to get your watch after purchase. I wanted my watch within 48 hours and Maxfield was able to deliver so I am a happy camper! If they couldn't have gotten me the watch within 48 hours I wouldn't have purchased from them - no biggie. read more

I happened to be in LA for a business trip this week. I knew of Maxfield as the only Watch retailer in the country so I decided to research. After reading reviews here, I was highly discouraged and decided not to even make the trip from Pasadena to the store. But I ended up at dinner in Beverly Hills and curiosity got the best of me so I stopped in around Tuesday evening of this week. I was greeted by the outside security guy. His name was Eli. I asked him about the Watch and he was so informative and friendly. He explained that at that point they only had the Edition in and he suspected that the Memorial Day holiday had shipments fouled up because he said he stands there every day and watches UPS delivery more of the Watch. He then explained the entire process for getting an appointment and how during my appointment I could either buy an in stock Watch or order one. He offered to take me directly into the store to try on watches or simply buy an Edition model. I explained that I wasn't interested in that model and that I was from Pittsburgh and that I was traveling for work and his advice was to not order one as there was no guarantee on delivery times. But he strongly recommended that I swing by some morning around 10:30 before they open and wait to get an appointment because at that point they sell inventory that isn't needed to fill orders. So on Thursday, I did just that. On Thursday, I got to the store before they were open. They were very gracious and someone came out to re-explain the process, and it was explained again the exact same way that the security guard had explained it. They then issued me an appointment card for 11:20am (the first appointment of the day). I explained that I was only in town for another day and that I really only needed an appointment if they had a 42mm Sport in stock, ideally the space gray. Again, they were as forthcoming as could be. The store rep said that there was really no chance of a space gray being available due to the number of orders they were waiting to fill on that model. But, he did say, that if I was interested in other 42mm Sport options that I'd be "very pleased during my appointment". I asked him what he meant and he simply said "I'm not able to tell you exact inventory because they are still processing a late shipment of watches from yesterday, but with an 11:20am appointment you should definitely come back." So I did. At 11:00am I walked by the front of the store (20 minutes before my appointment time). I saw both the store rep that I scheduled with and Eli the security guard from a few nights prior. The store rep called me by name and offered to take me in early for my appointment. As he called me, Eli said "Hey Pittsburgh! You took my advice to come back!" Within 15 minutes, I left with a 42mm Sport with the white band. As I checked out, the associate at the register asked how I knew they had the Watch in stock and I said that I didn't. I just followed the process and suggestion of the security guard. Her comment was "it's good you did. We just got these in yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) but with the number of orders we had to fill from the shipment we weren't sure what we'd have to sell to walk-ins until this morning." She also said they get a shipment or two a day and almost on cue, UPS walked in with a bunch of Watch deliveries. She also invited me to walk around the store so I did. Everyone in the store was very engaging. I couldn't be more please with the process and people at Maxfield. No process is perfect, but at least they have one they seem to be following. They can't sell what they don't have and they don't make the watches so they're at the mercy of their supplier (Apple) and the supply chain (UPS). Perhaps they shouldn't be providing delivery dates or they should be saying they are estimates, but when I was there, they were clear over and over that I could order any Watch I wanted but there was no guarantee on delivery dates and that the average delivery time for any watch was changing daily as Apple sends units. One last thought. As I read through online reviews, one of the discouraging themes was that the store is somehow profiling people based upon looks, attire or perceived wealth. I was wearing flip flops, a t-shirt, an Angels hat and white shorts that I had spilled coffee all over the front of. I was driving a lousy rental car and I parked it right in front of the store. If anyone looked like they couldn't afford a Watch it was me. I'm a mid-western, baseball loving, gun shooting country boy. They couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. So if you're in the area and contemplating, hopefully this encourages you to swing by. Be reasonable. They can't sell what they don't have, and if I were them, I'd be very displeased that Apple has put them in a constrained supply situation where they have to disappoint so many people. No one runs a business with the goal of angering the masses. read more

This place was a great place to shop for high end luxury items. Just the newest, trendiest, exclusive and fashionable things. They had everything from bam ford watches to japanese mastermind. All the reviews are people that are trying to buy watch thats is going to be outdated in like 2 years. I would reccomend going to this place if you can respect the art inside clothes but if you don't own a pair of shoes with wooden soles simply don't go in. The place has alot of employees they ask "can i help you?" Every five seconds but thats there job really can't say anything. Dressing rooms can have a possibility of improvement. read more
