It's 10:20am and the shop is not open yet. The techs are also waiting so I assume the owner is late and has the key. This is the line that arrives every week before 10am to get in and out first. If you arrive by 10:15 or later, you run the risk of waiting for service. I've only seen De and she is through, but they don't offer extra services like parrafin, sea salt, or deluxe pedicure. They also don't offer waxing, not even eyebrows but strangely offer lash services. Because they are so busy, you have to carefully watch to make sure the details are as you expect. It's easy to get rushed service, unevenly cut nails, and unpainted corners. I will continue to patronize this shop because it is conveniently located to my family's home. But when time permits, I prefer to travel south to Homewood for better and more thorough service.

i don't understand how they put inexperienced people on your feet using drill and cutters that can cause damage to your feet came in for a pedicure and i'm leaving out with an injury now the lady has cut my toe and i spoke with the manager and she told me oh the drill is new i still don't understand how that was a response everything after that went down hill i no longer wanted no chip due to the injury. tell me why the nail tech can't do a regular polish omg what a waist of time and mess and if you ask someone else to fix it right then and there the new person wants full charge so you pay double please it's not worth it go to a real nail tech no some fast food/ nail quickie you will regret it! if your not going to certain people the rest is trash

The doors are locked on this Wednesday evening, although the time posted for closing is 8 pm! Did you not anticipate an influx of people in the first week of summer?!?! Also, it's wedding season. ‍ (News flash: Y'all will be busy this month. perhaps, not with this type of service. Anticipate your clientele!!) This puts me in a quagmire as I am in a wedding on Friday. The lady finally came to the door: no apology, mind you. AT.ALL. She intimated the excuse of not enough employees available to service those already inside. Soooo, what if Target, Starbucks, and other businesses locked their doors when too many people might have called off... Unacceptable. Unprofessional. I will not return; further, I will lodge a formal complaint with the city.

    Worst nail service ever

The salon wasn't busy but the techs seem rushed and refused to listen and satisfy their customers. I was a regular til today I realized how money hungry this business is. I simply wanted full set overlay when the nail tech finished I asked if he could make my nails thinner and natural, I also went to the manager she yelled at me while she filing my nails she was pulling and bending my fingers. My nails were supposed to be $50, then it was $60.

Currently at another nail shop cause Maxim was way too difficult to even finish the job.

Honestly, They do decent nails but the customer service is terrible. My 1 hour wait turned into a two hour wait. I was in excruciating pain while he was trying to tear my nails off (which they all actively do rip nails off and kinda tell you to deal with the pain). He then told me because he couldn't rip the nails off I had to soak my nails off...for the fill in. Idk about you guys but that's literally not what a fill-in is. They have no sense of time and will not take you until you ask about 5 times. I don't think I'll be going back unless it's desperate times.

Acrylic color powder fill in. All of it is powder except the tint of color on the tips.

I thought I could let this go, but 24 hours later.. I can't. **The tech that did my nails THIS time was great and it is unfortunate that this is what happened** They charged me $70 for a acrylic color fill in. Then, tried to justify the price by saying the color I got on the tips (chrome) was the reason. Idk.. but $2 + 8 fingers does not equal $30/35 extra dollars from the $25 & up price that is listed on the wall. There's nothing extra on my nails to explain being charged this amount for a fill in, either. Why does this irritate me? Because the last time I tried them they attempted to blame the reason the technician couldn't do stiletto shaped nails with a clear fake nail was because my fingers "weren't the right shape for it to be straight". When I didn't like how crooked the nails were they proceeded to cut off the nails. Since it was done out of anger, they cut off my natural long nails to the skin. They wanted to tell me that my nails the technician messed up on were "$70 worth of work" .. So, to me this just feels like I was overcharged out of spite and I'm not okay with a business that does that.

I came here before and received a phenomenal job from Sunny. I came back and got another person (a lady). I showed her a picture and asked her, can she do it. (the same way I asked Sunny). She confidently said yes. She didn't even tell me when she is done with her work. In the end she just stopped. and I asked are you done? she said yes. IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE WHAT I WANT. I complained to the manager and showed her the pic. She doesn't want to hear it. She said she will have to charge me again if I want to fix it. She keeps cutting me off when I was speaking. The pictures clearly showed the lady did a horrible job. They do not have a customer service ethic or skills. DO NOT COME TO THIS NAIL SALON!!!

Awful experience. Received a pedicure, and as I was getting my nails done, my toes were drying, once my nails were done I noticed my polish had bubbles in it. They offered to fix it so I went back to the pedicure bowl. I sat to let them dry again and the same thing happened. They offered to fix them a third time but only after ignoring me for several minutes, then taking 3 people before me. $65 later and I am disgusted at the quality and my experience. I won't be back.

    Dip powder.

The staff is short and terse. I was rushed through my manicure. When I told the guy doing my feet he was scratching me with the buffer he got mad and said he didn't have to do it at all. His polish job was good but overall he was lackluster. There are signs everywhere that say no credit cards, only cash app and quick pay. That's a new one! All the reviews to this place suck and I see why. I was desperate tho. Next time I'll wait and go to my main shop downtown.

Do not bother unless you want stubby fat nails. Asked for a modest round edge square full set and received thick acrylic, too short nails with sloppy cuticles. No lotion, no hand massage $50

Been getting my nails done for almost ten years, been getting dip powder (and) manicures for the past three years. Never in all my experience have I ever had a nail break this way: it cracked before I even got home and then doing the most sedentary of activities, it cracked all the way through and then from there went downhill. I literally had to pull the nail from my skin as it was hanging from a thin piece from underneath my nail. VERY painful, and pretty bloody. I called the see about the manager/owner and came in at the time I was told they would be there. Not only was I meant with the run around but (the person who apparently was the owner but told me they weren't the owner) this lady kept telling me it was my mistake and they did nothing wrong. I asked for a refund since it's too damaged to fix right away and they said no refunds - I don't drive and I have to pay money every time I leave my house so seemed a little cynical for them to not only blame me but not even refund me for the service or the finger itself. I asked the "owner" for her information so I could come back when she was there again and she told me she had no information for me because it was my fault and any info I could get would have to be off the website. (There's no information on the website I can't get from google). It's obvious they had their guard up instead of trying to understand what I was even saying; I know their English isn't great. I didn't even approach them with hostility even though I had every right to and yet hostility is what I was met with.

I was happy with how my nails turned out except the one big thing I mentioned 3 times to 2 different staff members (and also over the phone before I came in) I wanted was glow in the dark and these were not. This was the very first fill-in for the set. Less than 24 hours later, on the morning of June 8, one nail broke. On June 9, a second nail broke. I called the salon on June 10 to explain the situation. Rather than expressing concern about the quality of the service, the male manager immediately informed me that it would cost an additional $15 to repair the two nails because the salon does not guarantee fill-ins, only full sets. After a lengthy discussion, he eventually stated that the repairs could be done at no charge, but only if completed by the same technician who serviced me. Unfortunately, I had an event to attend that afternoon and could not risk an extended wait. The following day, I called again and spoke with a female manager. She also began by reiterating that fill-ins are not guaranteed and that repairs must be completed by the original technician. She then informed me that the salon was slow and, if I came immediately, they would make an exception and repair the nails. I rushed to the salon, which is less than a 10-minute drive away, only to arrive and be told there were already two people ahead of me and that the wait would be more than 30 minutes. This was especially frustrating given that I had specifically called ahead and adjusted my schedule based on the information I was provided. While I understand that salons have policies, I find it unreasonable that two nails would break within days of a routine fill-in and that the response was to argue policy rather than address a clear quality concern. What was most disappointing was not the broken nails themselves, but the lack of accountability, inconsistent communication, and poor customer service from management. As a first-time customer receiving a fill-in on a relatively new set, I expected better workmanship and a more customer-focused resolution. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with little confidence in returning.

Absolutely the worst experience…read more I'm visiting from Washington, DC, and needed a fill for my Gel-X nails. I think that's where things went wrong and it appears that my request got completely lost in translation. As it became clear that Mike wasn't familiar with what I was asking for, I tried explaining exactly what needed to be done. Instead of listening, he cut me off and insisted that what I was requesting was incorrect. Clearly, it wasn't, because later that same evening THREE of my nails broke completely off. And no, these were not press-on nails. I called the next morning since the salon was already closed when the nails broke. I spoke with a very pleasant young lady named Jenny who apologized and explained that Mike had been feeling ill and that I was his last customer before he left. Unfortunately, that explanation matched the quality of the work--it felt rushed and careless. She invited me back to have the nails repaired. When I returned on Tuesday, Kim started working on my nails, but then Nancy took over. Keep in mind, this was only a three-nail repair. During the service, Nancy repeatedly stopped to take phone calls. Then, when two other customers came in who appeared to be regulars, she left me sitting there to assist them instead. Nothing says "your time doesn't matter" quite like being abandoned mid-service while someone else is helped. The lack of professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service was disappointing from start to finish. If you have another option, take it.

I wanted French but they said they couldn't do French unless the base was clear because they use nail polish remover to make the French design. That seems like inexperience to me. I've been to places where they do French over a pink base with regular polish but this is not the spot for that. So we pivoted because I didn't want gel polish. I said I'd go to the car and get the regular color I had on my fingernails. The woman started putting clear polish on my toes so I couldn't put on shoes and go get it. Since I was in a rush we just decided on a pink dnd color with funny bunny on top to make it more white. The joke was on me trying to be in and out. I showed up at 2 and didn't leave until 3:30. It should not have taken an hour and a half for a polish change. The original woman made the funny bunny coat on top too thick and lumpy. So I asked her if she could remove it and I could redo it. I repainted my big toe correctly and then another nail tech came and touched my toenail to see if it was dry and ended up smudging the polish. We had to take it off again. The nail tech that had messed up my nail repainted it but did the same mistake as the first tech. The polish is old and lumpy and unless you put it on thinly, it is going to be lumpy on the toe. So she removed it and said a other tech would try to paint it. When that nail tech finally did come over 20 minutes later, she was able to fix the issue because she found a bottle of funny bunny that wasn't dried out. But most importantly, she listened to what I had been saying from the start. My original nail tech never came back out. And I'm annoyed that I had done it correctly and then they messed it up. I would avoid this place unless you're getting gel. Even the last nail tech said it would have turned out better if I had gotten gel. They seem not to be able to do the basic regular polish well. Just do your own nails at home if you want regular polish. I know I will be. There was also a man on FaceTime on speakerphone in the shop and we were forced to hear his conversation for the entirety of his pedicure. They did not ask him to get off of speaker. It was really annoying and not a relaxing environment.

I have never gotten a pedicure before, but ended up tagging along with some friends who wanted to go. This was a very spacious salon and it felt like it was busy, but not too busy on a Friday afternoon. We all decided to get the Spring Romance Package and I'm not sure if we got everything listed (it said there was a tea, but I honestly couldn't tell if that was actually a drink or what the soak was called, lol). My friends and I agreed that I probably had the best experience out of everyone, so it really can vary depending on who is working. I believe my techs name was Johnny and he was great. One of my friends asked specifically to not get the scrub since she doesn't like them, but her tech ended up giving her the scrub and not another step of the treatment which she was bothered by. My friend who gets pedicures fairly often said that these were some of the best massage chairs he's ever experienced. One thing that isn't clear before going is that you can't add a tip if paying with card, so bring some cash to tip. They do have an ATM inside the salon, but I imagine there are services fees involved with that as well. Salon visits aren't really a thing I have worked into my budget, but I think if I wasn't able to take care of my feet and I could get the same tech, I would probably go here again. Good morning I am using my daughter's social media account ...I live in the building and I go once…read morein the blue moon usually with Ruth, but somehow I try to book an appointment with her at 7 o'clock online and I couldn't and with this young lady Rachel for a classic pedicure I was having problems so I called and the young lady Anna that works in the afternoon yesterday told me that they were close There was no appointment. How can that be when on the website both girls were open and how can that be when on the website it says open 10 to 8 meaning you guys close at eight meaning you guys have time to do my service on professional bad advertising saltmara is the laughing stock of the neighborhood like I said I go every three months and I live on the building not to say your new manager. I walked in to talk about my point and my membership, her attitude that face of hers no how can I help you no smile to the owner you need to hire a new receptionist and a new manager or whatever happened to Emily if the salon says on the website 10 to 8 just like the rest of the Salon's around you they stay open. It's easy for me to come from the building downstairs now I know those girls were open but close at 7 o'clock not to mention that I called on Monday and try to get a manicure again around like 720. You have time to do a manicure a classic manicure and they refuse me why have people Work late when they don't wanna work at night unprofessional bad advertising no wonder the salon is slow and people are canceling their membership. Literally the WORST experience ever. I'm from out of town I came in for my granny's birthday…read more FIRST I scheduled an appointment, the lady at the first seat said that it was fine to come in at the time I asked. I get in and she asks what I want then tells me I have to wait because she can't take me anymore someone else booked an appointment. UM HUH?!? Then the guy she gave me to rushed my nails. He kept cutting my fingers and the tools were getting too hot. what I originally wanted he wasn't able to do bc the fil in shade was not correct. So I asked if he just wanted to take my old set off and redo he said no it takes to much time. so yall dnt want the money. Heard. So I choose something easier for them to do, MY NAILS LOOKS LUMPY AF! The shape is terrible. I'm so mad I could cry. I refused to sit in there and let them even try to fix it because yall have played in my face enough. NEVER AGAIN if I could have put zero stars I would. NEGATIVE if possible. Edit: 11/9/25- after 2 hours of filing and shaping my nails down to look decent on Friday, today I went to look at my nails and my thumb nail has peeled off. Please do not ever support this business. Pictures attached.

This place was better than I thought it was going to be. I had been skeptical because it looked…read morelike the hood over there but for the most part the hood always does good feet. I had been to salons all over the city I found a great one on the north side but it's just too far. This place is a lonely a few blocks from me which is great. I paid $60-including my tip for a no chip mani pedi. That's how much I used to pay in Philly so I was cool with that. The only thing I had a problem with was the lady didn't scrub my feet. She wanted to used that rake scrubber thing which I don't usually have people use on my feet they just scrub it with the pumice scrubber so I believe I threw her off that way because she didn't use the purple scrub on my legs just a little scrub and done. I messed with her process. She did scrub a little more when I asked her but next time I go I will just tell her make sure you scrub good but don't use that scraper thing on me. I will be back. It would be nice if they had a loyalty card. That'll be dope! Thanks guys! See you soon. -Jaz
