Yeah these guys are great! It's always amazing feeling welcomed and appreciative for being at a place where you're not oblige to shop. It's not my first time at the shop since making this review, but every time I walk into the shop, it's always the same great experience of feeling welcomed and amazing customer service. The shop feels like a candy store, but for comic book readers. It's always well-maintained and clean and I regret to say I always manage to stay longer than I want too (which is not good for my wallet). They have an abundant selection of collectibles, graphic novels, manga, and comics (current and back issues) to choose from. If you can't find what you are looking for, they can try to order it for you and purchase at the shop later. When new issues do come out, staff are always giving out good recommendations and pitch out smart sales to their customers (also bad for my wallet). If you live close by here and love comic culture, consider yourself lucky because this is one of the best local comic shops here in the Las Vegas metro area. read more

Hubby called them ahead of time, one week, before heading over there to (1) make sure they were buying comic books and which day they do this (2) which was Thursday. Left the comic books in the car. Hubby went over there, on Thursday, but they looked at all of it, and said he had some good items, but unfortunately they were not able to buy anything from him, due to the fact, that they made a big purchase earlier. Why didn't they say anything about that on the phone? Felt like this was a waste of time. This is somewhat shady. Not good business. Two stars, because the clerks were friendly. Noticed that the positive reviews are for the Customer buying experience. Didn't notice any for the Selling side. Sorry, gotta spread the word about this here. read more

This little comic book store is a gem. I've only been here once with my children, however my mother has taken them a few times. Every story I have heard of their visits has brought so much joy to our family. Our son has ASD and has very hyper focused interests. The staff not only has helped him find the things that interest him but have gone above and beyond to listen to him talk about every single creature he knows about and find something that peaks his curiosity. Our son doesn't like to leave the house often but this is the one place he will pack himself up and be out the door before anyone else is ready. The kindness of the staff is unmatched and we are so thankful for this place. Our big kid loves the selection of comics, figures and trinkets as well. It seems this is one place they can truly agree on going to! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the different publications and characters. We will be back! read more

This is by far the friendliest comic shop in LV. A lot of people have their pull box here for that reason. They also have parties occasionally and they had a bunch of cosplayers for free comic book day. My daughter got to meet Chewy! read more

Maximum Comics used to be one of the best shops in Las Vegas, NV. I was a customer for over a decade but ownership has slipped tremendously. After ordering many items and coming to find out they were not coming in at all due to incompetence I received sorry for the inconvenience, mind you this happened with not one or two but 4 statues I preordered. Even after a discussion with the owner all I received was his snarky attitude and disrespect. Truly unfortunate that this place has fallen so far. I encourage you to seek your comic needs elsewhere, the shop facade fools many but over time this place will realize how important customers are and how common courtesy goes along way. I've been coming to this comic book store for about a year now and I've never had any issues with customer service ever. The staff is super helpful and to say they're nice is an understatement. For such a small store they have a huge selection of comic issues, trade backs, along with collectors items and toys. The value on said collectors items are also well priced and fair. Great place for a lot of comic things, not just comic books. They have accessories like hats shirts keychains bobbleheads and loads of other things. Their prices are very good as well and if you have Amazon prime they will match the selling price to get you the better rate. The staff was extremely helpful also and very knowledgeable. I love a good comic. Used to collect them until there became so many titles from DC and Marvel and the independents that I would have to rob a bank just to keep up with all the different variations on my favorite heroes. But I digress. This Maximum store (apparently there is at least one other in the Vegas area) is on the smaller side with comics alphabetical on one wall and new releases on the other. This is almost a weekly ritual with my daughter now as we stop at Panera for breakfast and then go to the comic store to see if they have her comic. I very much like that they provide free comics to the local schools and have free comic Wednesday. Also they have a blackboard in the store advertising some charity events they are involved in. The staff is friendly but even though they promised to order the book my daughter wants, they never have them in and claim they are backordered from the publisher (for several months). Yes we are not a big customer buying one book a week but still, tell us you can't get them or that they will take several months, don't promise next week and then forget that we even asked. I truly get the impression they aren't even going to try to order the books. If anyone from the store is reading this, she likes Lego Ninjago and is looking for issues 1 and 2. The size of the store and the sheer number of the comic books make it seem a bit intimidating but when you take a breath it is easy to find what you are looking for. There also isn't a very big selection of older comics. They do have a lot of models, toys and figurines scattered throughout the store. I love comics so I enjoy this store but it could use a bigger space and a bit more organization on the special order front. read more

The customer service here can't be beat. Warren, Angelo, Marcus, and the rest do care about their customers. The store is clean, organized, and very shopable. I have a pull box (highly recommended if you collect specific titles), and I get a discount and bags & boards for the comics I buy included with my purchase. The staff is knowledgeable, and offer recommendations. They are not snobs, or condescending when you discuss a comic that you enjoy. The joy of comics is here for all. This is my happy place. The only thing I wish they had more of was older issues, silver/copper age. Hard to do though with the size of the shop, and still have space for all of the toys, statues, games, Funko pop figures,, new comics, back issues and graphic novels. The other MaximuM Comics on Tropical has a ton of back issues, just not close to my neck of the woods. I shop other comic shops, but the Ft. Apache MaximuM will always be my go to store. read more

I completely forgot that I signed up for a box over 2 months ago for my husband and they gave me a call and left a voicemail reminding me that they have kept up with all of the comic books. I would have thought that since I hadn't come in for a while, they would've just emptied my box. I came in and picked it up the comics that same day and the staff was great, really friendly. Cool little store. I bought the whole set of the Dark Tower series comic book for Doug here years ago. I keep going back and find great gifts that I didn't even know existed. Scored a sweet Boba Fett business card holder for my husband Christmas stocking. Prices are good and the staff is always willing to help you out. Tons of comic books line the walls, they have t-shirts, action figures, etc. I saw a couple cute super hero corsets when I was there, every Fan Boys dream girl wears these. I hear they are currently redoing their store and will be ready after the New Year. I haven't been to the other 2 stores in Vegas but this one is closest to my home. I'm a bonafide geek, dork, nerd...yet my secret shame is that I don't know that much about comics. I really, really want to be "into" comics but I just can't take that first step. It all changed the day I was having lunch at a sandwich shop next door and saw two guys hanging around outside Maximum Comics dressed as a stormtrooper and Wolverine. Yeah, okay, that finally lured me inside! If those types of folks are the typical customers here, then I will fit right in! Although I'll admit that I'm not super qualified to write a review of a comic shop I love browsing here! The employees are super helpful, knowledgeable and really friendly so it's always a pleasure just to pop in and look around. I came in looking for a gift for my brothers birthday and unsure of what to expect, as I hadn't been to a comic book shop before. Which is strange because I am a huge fan of DC and marvel comics. So upon walking in to the tiny, blink and youd miss it shop, I was immediately taken back by their selection and organization. Very fast assortment of memorabilia, books, magazines, ect. No it wasn't your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, but it was this man name Jay who was quick to answer any questions I had about comics, and even quicker to shake my hand and say thanks for coming in. A year later the first Maximum Comics store was opened. (UP! UP! AND AWAY!) Jay hasn't slowed down since. (HI-YO SILVER... AWAY!) There are now four different Maximum Comics Stores (ATOMIC BATTERIES TO POWER. TURBINES TO SPEED) spread throughout the city of Las Vegas. Looking for that hard to find comic book? Chances are you can find it at Maximum Comics. I even saw the Superman vs Muhammad Ali special from the 1970's! (Truth, Justice, And The American Way) Down in the Maximum Wearhouse (Maximum Comics #4) I saw the entire collection of Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spiderman comics for sale as a complete collectors set! Mein Gott! It's Nightcrawler of the X-Men. Sing Cowabunga for The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Maximum Comics has statues and all sorts of collectables as well. If you wanted I bet you could find a SPOON (!) or even a statue of The Tick. Maximum Comics host special events throughout the year as well. Maximum Midnight Movies (by Crom!), at Karaoke night I am sure you could sing any song you want (Here I Come To Save The Day!) a Dinner Club (Avenger's Assemble!). Once a month or so there is a Maximum Aspiring Artists club that get together and share their artwork. (I'm The Best There Is At What I Do). In 2007 my first of two daughters was born, my comic collecting all but stopped. Great selection, great prices, & helpful staff. Store is clean and easy to navigate. I wish there was more space to browse the back issue boxes but there's nothing to rectify that currently unless they move into a bigger space lol. I'm a casual comic book reader & don't have any specific line I follow, personally. My son and I just enjoy reading them together seeing as he's currently big on all things Marvel. Love the rewards program -- it's very easy to earn points to use toward getting free books! An even cheaper way to find a new favorite to love is by purchasing a mystery pack of comics for $5. Comes with 5-6 comics, some are even titles from the 80s 90s! They also have comic/anime related Funko Pops and are priced at retail. They have a very active presence on social media which is helpful in discovering new titles and their frequent promotions. read more

I'm a statue collector as well and they always have the new statues in stock and if they don't they can order it for you. Plus if they have something you need and it happens to be at another location then they will transfer it to the store that's closest to you. This place is a must for all your nerdy needs read more

What you need to know: Good: -the people who work here are pleasant and knowledgeable, except one. -Shop is nicely kept and has a nice smell. -Its located in a nice plaza, so it's great to pass by if you have errands to do. Bad: - This shop keeps raising the prices on the variants. It's been very noticeable the past few weeks. Very Bad: - Things come in constantly damaged and if you have a pull box they save the bad condition books for you if they don't like you. -They use an app to preorder books, which is a problem when the shop under orders a book. If someone over orders a "hot" book, your not gonna get one period. read more

Who ever runs this place above that of Warren needs to reach out to me. We had a package that was wrongfully delivered to the comic book store . It was signed for by T. Tolliber at exactly 1:54pm 12/28/2021 on Tuesday. Instead of handing over the package they instead lie and say that they don't have the package or know what I'm talking about. It got so escalated that Warren the manager decided that it would be tasteful to call my bf out his name and said he was a "pce of shit". What kind of company hires a manager like that. I don't care how mad one gets there is no excuse for poor manners especially when you are a manager representing a company. Class always prevails and you calling someone out of their name was uncalled for. I could see if the package was "left at the door" but we show that it was signed for specifically by T. Tolliber from your company at a business where you are counting packages you are signing for. and rather then hand the package over you instead choose to steal something that is not yours. This is unacceptable and I will keep escalating this until someone from upper management aside from this Warren guy who clearly does not deserve the title of as a manager when he can't even manage his own emotions - contacts me to rectify as to why they stole my package. read more
